Describe the incident or concern: On the evening of May 30th, at approximately 2045 hours. I was patrolling the area of section C. I saw a black truck speeding through the area. The truck was being driven in an erratic manner and did not appear to be considerate of the many small children walking and cycling through the area. I noticed the vehicle accelerate at a high speeds towards me as I was driving a golf cart. The truck made an overt swerve onto the grass area where I was traversing because I got off the gravel road driving path to avoid the trucks path. The driver came to a sliding halt which almost caused his truck to strike my golf cart due to the loose gravel road. A white male, who identified himself as a camper who had been talked to earlier in the day regarding camp site restrictions. He velled multiple expletives as he wanted me to go and "harass" the other campers. He said we were harassing him earlier only because he was not American. The man appeared quite intoxicated and very beligerent towards me ([redacted]). I asked the man to the heavy smell of alcohol during our brief encounter. He replied with a number of profanities/expletives and got back into his truck and sped off. I requested he drive slower because of the children in the area. I followed at a distance and saw he parked near C-5 or C-6 bathroom area.I left the area to avoid further incidence as it was obvious the man was not capable of rationale thought process and was incapacitated by the level of his intoxication. As I was approaching the guard/ranger shack I saw the man driving the same black truck. 4 wheel vehicle at an unsafe speed through the camp grounds and exit. I went to seek a witness ([redacted] Healv. security staff) and together we went to seek further guidance from [redacted] at his motor home site. Mr. [redacted] was informed of the guest's condition of intoxication and wreckless endangerment behaviors towards the other campers/visitors. The decision to leave the guest along and avoid contact was made by Mr. [redacted].Dear Mr. and Mrs. [redacted]This letter is to follow up on the conversation we had on 6/4/2015. Your membership has been suspended for 32 days effective June 4 thru July 6th 2015. Please see below for violations:1. Verbal Abuse/Intimidation of staff2. Speeding (large black truck going 30mph in Resort)3. Conduct: Alcohol-intoxicated & belligerentEnclosed is a new copy of the Resorts hand book. If you have any questions please give me a call.Sincerely,[redacted]General ManagerCanyon Creek Resort & Delta Shores Marina

I am rejecting this response because: I can not comment on the incident that was suppose to have happened, what I do know that its been exaggerated. the spot where we parked at didn't have enough space to park out truck on the right hand side or in front of the 5th wheel so we know form going there many years the left side nobody camps there as there is no electric or water hook up and its on heavy gravel floor so tents cant even park there so we parked there. we were asked to move the truck as they said its a camping space we then asked where can we park they said next to the bathroom but we will have to pat $5 a night then they told us to move our TV dish as it was in a camp space it was on a little hill, we looked around and seen plenty of dishes far away from peoples RVs when we pointed this out they said they work here and can do what they want, how fare is that ? we paid over $5,000 to join should we have the same respect as somebody who works/ lives there? its not our fault the spaces are to tight to park your truck next to it we refused to pay the $5 a night as in the hand book we can park one car/truck next to the RV . every time we go to canyon creek there is always a issue on the nightly cost we pay $1 a night and get charge between $2 and $5 when I talk to the staff saying nobody pay that they get all aggressive and tell me I`M Wrong, then when they find out I`m right I get no apology, it just sets the mood for the whole weekend, we feel its not a nice place to go anymore to relax, we have been going for a few years with no problems and now we have this on our file just makes us out to be trouble makes and were not all were hard working people who just want to get away and relax.

Review: I was sold one type of membership package and paying for something else. I was defrauded.

We were made to believe that we was paying $3500.00 for the Gold Membership that included Vista Resorts (XXXXXXXXXXX) & RPI (XXX-XXXXXX). Included in the price was all campgrounds and condos, with a quartly fee of $99.00 -($396.00 year for maintenance fee).

In June 2013, I received a bill from RPI asking for a yearly fee of $159.00 -- or 2 year fee $300.00 for their membership. Not understanding this invoice and why they are asking us to pay a membersip fee, I tried contacting the Manager of Vista Resorts to ask why. At that time, I was told I would be transferred to the Manager. I was not transferred tot he Manager. But, only to leave a voicemail for the person ([redacted] that sold us this package. He returned my called a few days later to leave a voicemail.

After three calls back and forth, leaving voicemails, I was able to reach him on Friday, July 19.

When speaking with him about the invoice and our Gold Membership, he said that everyone pays the $159.00 fee for the condos. Not understanding, I asked again: "Why am I paying this additional fee when we paid for the Gold Membership that included RPI in June 2012?" His response again was not clear to what we are paying for.

To have a better understanding of what he was saying I asked the question: "I have the three catalogs here named RPI, America and Preferred Access - now if I take away RPI, do I have the other two catalogs to choose from? [redacted] said: "No, all catalogs are RPI". Then I asked: "Then what am I paying $3500.00 for? He said: "Vista Resort Campgrounds." I asked: "How many campgrounds are there?" He said: "Well we have eleven campgrounds on the west coast." I said: "This is not what you sold us last year, we were told that RPI, everything, was included in the price." - "Are you serious, I am paying $3500.00 for 11 campgrounds and $396.00 maintenance fee, for life, for eleven campgrounds?" He said: "Yes" .... I said: "This is wrong, this is not what you sold us last year at all." We hung up.Desired Settlement: Cancel contract in its entirety.

Review: entered into a contractual agreement for 3 cabins for memorial weekend, 4th of July weekend and labor day weekend for the first year and each year after 3 cabins at anytime with a 90 day advance reservation. received email from an authorized representative that even though we were promised three cabins they would not be able to honor the agreement and would provide a full refund of 3,000. Numerous follow up with Sales Rep, then emailed owner and GM. Was asked to provide copies of agreement as they didn't have anything in their files. Provided information and haven't been able to get a response from GM.Desired Settlement: Refund $3,000 as promised in writing my authorized rep that signed the contract.

Response:

I am rejecting this response because: Yes, I did receive a check on 8/31/2015 for $3,000, although the statement made was a lie. The discussion started on 4/30/2015 and after many unresponsive emails, the sales rep agreed to a refund on 6/21/2015. After weeks of no check an email was sent to [redacted] (president/owner) and [redacted] GM. After several more weeks and me providing them with a copy of the contract - no response. On 7/24/2015 filed complaint with Revdex.com and on 8/14/2015 and email from GM stating a check was being sent overnight which never occurred. On 8/31/2015 check received via normal postage. Thank you Revdex.com for your help! I will still note that management of Canyon Creek Resort, lack customer service, responsiveness and consumers should be aware they have an over promise mentality that can't be honored.
