Complaint: 11745766
I am rejecting this response because: What Accurate Insurance is refusing accept is their employee, [redacted] told me she could not transfer the $373.00 I paid on the 1996 Buick.  She said a check will be sent to me and I would have to give her $335.00 over the phone to cover the insurance for the 2016 Kia.   When I received the quote it does not show what is what.  There was no damage done.  What kind of damage is this man is talking about.  I didn't have to drop over $700.00 to Travelers insurance for this new vehicle.  My FULL COVERAGE cost me 68.00 a month for 12 months.  NOT OVER $700.00 as a downpayment and $164.00 a month for 6 months.  AGAIN I REQUESTED A QUOTE FOR 6  MONTHS.   I Have insurance coverage with a reputable company.  [redacted] as [redacted], said was a new employee, for him to make that statement, she did something wrong.  She lied about the $369.00 I paid in full, she said I had to keep a broke down car insured.  I told [redacted] the car was INOPERABLE. it's sitting on the street not running.  I had no means to get putting money in a car was was 20 years old.  TOO DANGEROUS TO DRIVE.  CHERYL TOLD ME THE ONLY WAY I can get coverage is to pay her $335.00 or a credit card.  That was the only choice she offered.  All the other insurances transfer a previous coverage vehicle without any problem.  Cheryl lied about the coverage and said a check will be sent to me on the insurance that I had on the Buick, because they could not transfer the coverage from one vehicle to another. THAT IS WHAT SHE SAID.  Waiting for the quote, I noticed that the coverage I had on the Buick was included with the $335.00 I gave her off my VISA.  and then add insult to injury she charged me 28% interest on $1500.00.  That was an unacceptable quote.  I called [redacted] up and [redacted] said my monthly payments was $106.00.  There is nothing on any documents that says my monthly payments were $106.00 - no where on the paperwork they sent me.  These people are so greedy and hard up until they were tripping over each other to get as much out of me as they could.  I told [redacted] to send me a breakdown on how did she arrive at these figures when I never had an incident with Accurate Insurance. NOT A MOVING VIOLATION, NO ACCIDENTS, PAID THE PREMIUMS ON TIME AND BEFORE TIME.  THE LAST ONE I PAID, I PAID IN FULL AND [redacted] WAS PISSED.  SHE CALLED ME AND TOLD ME I OWE HER $25.00 DOLLARS. I DIDN'T KNOW WHO SHE WAS, SHE DID NOT IDENTIFY HERSELF AS AN ACCURATE EMPLOYEE UNTIL I ASKED "WHO IS THIS" THAT WHEN SHE IDENTIFIED HERSELF. They can't force me to take what I don't want.  Lie after Lie, after lie.  I received another call saying I owe them $15.00.  I sent a check for $15.00 and a Lady from Accurate called me and asked me what was the $15.00 for, I told her [redacted] or a [redacted] told me there was change on the Buick coverage and I owe an additional amount.  The Lady, and older more matured woman said, I owe nothing.  I asked the lady to write VOID on the check and send it back to me.  She said okay, I waited for over a week, No void check was sent.  I called about the check, I was told the check was shredded.  ANOTHER LIE WAS TOLD.  I HAVE A RIGHT AS A CONSUMER TO CANCEL, AND TERMINATE INSURANCE WITHOUT GIVING a 12-STEP PROCEDURE TO GET MY REFUND.  SINCE THEY ARE HOLDING MY MONEY, THEY WANT TO HELP THEMSELVES BY DEDUCTING WHATEVER THEY WANT TO DEDUCT.  IF I HAD PAID THAT BUICK IN MONTHLY INSTALLMENTS AND CANCELLED, THEY HAVE NO OHER CHOICE BY TO CANCEL AT MY REQUEST.  In this situation, Accurate is holding $373.00 for 12 months. on a Buick I junked for $25.00 they insist that I keep insurance on.  Junked the day after the purchase of the Kia Soul (9-7-16).  What is Accurate looking at?  A windfall bonus to them.  DO THEY REALIZE IT'S AGAINST THE LAW IN KEEPING MY MONEY.  I DON'T HAVE COVERAGE WITH ACCURATE ON MY KIA.   I AM COVERED WITH TRAVELERS INSURANCE SEPT 17, 2016.  I DO NOT HAVE COVERAGE WITH ACCURATE.  I IMMEDIATELY NOTIFIED ACCURATE BY EMAIL THAT I NO LONGER NEED THEIR SERVICES.  I DID NOT HAVE A CONTRACT ON THE KIA.  I ONLY HAD A QUOTE THAT I TOTALLY REJECTED. SINCE I HAVE $335.00 [redacted] LIED ABOUT AND THE $373.00 check I paid on the Buick for 12 months,  [redacted] SAID I WOULD RECEIVE A CHECK IN THE MAIL. [redacted] LIED.  THE QUOTE WHICH THEY TOOK THEIR TIME SENDING, SHOWS THEY STARTED THE QUOTE PN SEPTEMBER 7, 2016.  NO SOONER THAN I GOT OFF THE PHONE. WITH $708.00 AS A DOWNPAYMENT.  THIS IS LUDICROUS!  I HAVE ALL THE DOCUMENTATION.  THIS WOMAN FLEECED ME FOR EVERYTHING SHE COULD DO AND A MANAGER WHO ADMITS SHE WAS WRONG AND NOW HE WANTS TO DOC ME FOR HER ERRORS.  I DO NOT HAVE COVERAGE WITH ACCURATE INSURANCE, NOT ON THE 2016 KIA SOUL NOR THE 1996 BUICK.  THAT'S BEEN SITTING ON THE STREET IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE NOT RUNNING.  I WANT MY $708.00.  THEY CAN'T FORCE ME TO ACCEPT ANYTHING I DON'T WANT.  I DON'T WANT TO DO BUSINESS WITH ACCURATE, NOT NOW, NOT EVER.  THEY HAD THEIR CHANCE.  THIS OFF-THE-WALL INSURANCE USED ME FOR THE LAST TIME.  I WANT MY $708.00 REFUND SENT TO ME.  IF I HAVE TO CONTACT THE NEWS AND PUT THEM ON BLAST FOR CORRUPTION, I. WILL.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

On March 23, 2016, Ms. [redacted] called our office for her renewal rate on her auto insurance policy, the rate given included a seven day advance discount (policy would have to paid for within seven days of the expiration date which was 03/26/2016). Ms. [redacted] renewed her policy on...

03/25/2016 one day before the policy expiration date, this caused the seven day advance discount to be removed. We contacted the insurance company that Ms. [redacted] was placed with and they credited the policy an additional $67.00. Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I request the insurance to be transferred from the 1996 Buick to the 2016 Soul.  Cheryl blatantly said as long as I own the vehicle, I have to have insurance, and she could not transfer the insurance to the new vehicle.  I told her the car was inoperable.  There is no law in the State of Illinois that says an Insurance has the right to force insurance on a vehicle when the owner drops the coverage or transfer the coverage.  If the vehicle is not running, what kind of problem is it causing.  There is no where written that Accurate is required to force insurance on a vehicle.  The vehicle was junked for $25.00.  I being chargedI  I said 6 months coverage she [redacted] forces 12 months coverage for approximately !600.00 with $735.00 (as they say downpayment)  You're talking $2300.00 for insurance for 6 months, or even if she forced the 12 months.  I signed no documents.  This is not acceptable, they way they lied, and this Mr. [redacted] said [redacted] was new, once he found out she was committing insurance fraud.  Yet I refuse to eat the cost of errors Accurate Insurance made by trying to make quotas like [redacted].  I was over billed.  Why would I pay Approx. $2300.00 when another carrier quoted LESS THAN $800.00/12 months coverage.  Accurate is not trying to fix the problem, they are trying to fleece me for the double dipping and corruption their employee was involved in.  I terminated the insurance because I did not agree to the quote Accurate is forcing to take.  I reject the quote because I asked for a refund.  I am responsible for the insurance on my vehicles.  Accurate is not forced to keep the insurance to any vehicle of any customer.  Accurate is not liable for me if I don't have insurance on a car that wasn't drivable, they don't get to decide to keep my money as if they were appointed by the State of Illinois to rule on my behalf.  Accurate Insurance is not my Legal Guardian, nor my Legal Custodian.  Accurate does not have the right to take $735.00 to do what they choose.  If I choose to change insurance carriers because of corruption by Accurate Insurance, they don't have the right to force me to keep them or else pay a stiff penalty for dropping them, and they get to decide how much to charge me, when I did not accept the quote because of the lies told by their employee.  It's not up to [redacted] to take my money to use it to her advantage, which does not benefit me.  I want a total refund as I requested over and over again.  Accurate does not want to absorb the cost of their errors, so they want to fleece me.  What Accurate did was illegal, and they know it.  I want my total refund.  Who ever heard of putting $735.00 down for some car insurance. and pay $164.00 and some change for 6 months? I am a senior citizen, I get $1100.00 a month to live off. Who has $735.00 to give them free and clear and then try to force me to give them carte blanche privilege to deduct funds from my money to benefit.  How is that right?  That's insurance fraud.  Accurate set this scheme up to force me to reject their offer, them turn to fleece me for refusing their offer.  I did not sign any papers.  It was not up to [redacted] nor [redacted] to keep a 1996 Buick insured.  I have a right to drop, or terminate insurance when I don't need the coverage.  IT IS MY RIGHT TO DROP INSURANCE ON ANY VEHICLE I SO CHOOSE, IT'S NOT ACCURATE'S RIGHT TO CARRY OUT A LAW THEY ARE NOT ENFORCED TO DO.  I WANT MY TOTAL REFUND.  I COST THEM NOTHING.  THEY COST ME.  I WANT A REFUND.  NEXT TIME, ACCURATE NEED TO STUDY THE LAW GOVERNING THE STATE OF ILLINOIS REGARDING THE RIGHTS OF CUSTOMERS.  As a matter fact, I'm contacting the Secretary of States Office to find out Does Accurate have the right to act as a Legal Guardian and force a customer to carry their insurance, against their will.  This is FRAUD.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

I'm not sure why Ms[redacted] keeps saying "Accurate Insurance" forced her to take a second policy, There is NO second policy! Ms. [redacted] liability on her 1996 Buick was transferred to the 2016 Kia and physical damage was added, No one forced her to keep insurance on the 1996 Buick. As an Insurance Agent it is our responsibility to inform our insured's that [redacted] Secretary of State does require you to carry insurance on any vehicle owned and licensed. I'm sorry Ms[redacted] feels that the premium was too high, Ms[redacted] did go from a 1996 vehicle with liability coverage to an 2016 vehicle with full coverage. Ms[redacted] has every right to go to another insurance carrier if she feels the premium is to high, and she did just that. Accurate Insurance did request a policy cancellation with the carrier and any unearned premium will be refunded to Ms[redacted] within the time allowed.Again, Accurate Insurance Appreciates Ms. [redacted] past business.

financed. There would be an increase as the insured is going from a 1996 liability only policy to an 2016 full coverage policy. There wouldn't be a refund, that is why Ms. [redacted] never received a refund check. The agent did let Ms. [redacted] know that the State of Illinois requires mandatory insurance on any vehicle owned, if the 1996 Buick was not being traded in. I can assure Ms. [redacted] no one is scamming her.Accurate Insurance Services, Inc. abides by all of Illinois Department of Insurance rules and regulations. Accurate Insurance Services Inc. greatly appreciates Ms. [redacted] past business.   Sincerely,Accurate Insurance Services, Inc.
