I went to Vitality Health & Wellness based on a radio promotion spot. My experience there borders on complete scam and manipulation. Not only did they charge me as soon as I walked in the door and before I was even told what was included in the $149 price (Yes, I politely tried to get the information. Interesting that only vague info was given, and only after my card was swiped), but I was then promptly guided into a room by Sunny, to give me my "consult" ... which was nothing more than an obnoxious sales pitch. 15 minutes into hearing how much toxins are in my organs and how "sick" I looked (really, is she an MD?), and catching on to the pitch (10 minutes prior) she repeatedly avoided my question in asking about the cost. "Just wait until you hear what you're getting." she said. And, "I'm getting to that." The other three times I asked, she simply talked over me. Holy car sales, Batman...$3,000+ for 12 weeks? Oh, I forgot...there's a $700 "discount" if you're rich enough to pay for the program pay by the end of the year, right before Christmas to boot.
What...a...joke.
After I wouldn't bite, I was handed a bag of shake mix and a shaker and quickly was escorted to get my B12 shot by some who did not glove up. Unacceptable. I'm going to guess she's not a medical professional of any kind. Come back next week for your acupuncture and second B12. For a weight loss place, I was never even weighed.
I'm curious if the radio personality received their program au gratis as part of the plug. Who knows.
The promo is so misleading. Who knew it would be more than a grand a month. And, no one tells you anything until you're in the room for the pitch. It's a bunch of crap how manipulative this is. It did raise a flag when I was asked for my credit card over the phone to hold my appointment.
Vitality Health & Wellness deliberately tells you nothing until they hit you with the big brick and that is not an ethical way of doing business. I don't have anything positive to say about this company and it's unfortunate that a popular radio personality's name and reputation is backing it.
The radio station should ask their listeners. Don't just take my word. I'm sure there's others.
I'd also be curious if the station director would care about what actually happens at this company and how this reflects on their station. The best thing the station could do in damage control is to pull the spot.

Review: I scheduled an appointment at Vitality health based off a special I heard on the radio, it was a 7 day cleanse, acupuncture, 2 lipo injection shots, and other services they claimed to include. I went in on a friday for an appointment at 3, waited until almost 4 before they came to get me to start the Services, then I spent almost a full hour talking with a woman trying to sell me thousands of dollars worth of services, after explaning I couldn't afford them, she took me out to the desk area to schedule another appointment to complete the rest of the services. I was not aware I wouldn't be rrcieving full treatment that day! So I scheduled for the next Friday, and the day before they called and cancelled, claiming their acupuncturist went home sick, when I tries to reschedule again they had extrwamly limited times on when they could take me and they didn't meet up with my schedule at all, I requested a refund and they denied claming that the "consultation" or sales pitch, and cleanse that I received was over the value in which I paid.

That is a bait and switch and they in my eyes have sstole from me.Desired Settlement: To have my money refunded and to never return for any of their bogus service .

Response:

I made an appointment with the company saying that I saw a groupon for a consultation for weight loss. So the receptionist made the appointment with me when I got there I said I didn't buy the Groupon yet because I was waiting to find out if I wanted the deal first. She then informed me I wasn't even allowed to talk to anyone or consult with anyone without buying the groupon for $100, so I did.

When I met with the "Dr". he explained to me the program of the Hcg Diet and the different prices and programs. I wanted what would be the best one because I wanted to lose a lot of weight. He said there was an additional program that's included in there with shakes and pills I said do I have to pay extra for that he stated no everything is included in this price. And then he told me that I could cancel at any time.

So I took the program stating that I could afford these payments a month still stating that I could cancel at any time. Then asked what about the groupon I just purchased and the girl told me oh we will just add that on to your shots which I never got to see that price nor take the time to read the contract. They also did not give me a copy of anything before I left. I was told it included the shakes etc. acupuncture because he is a Dr of Acupuncture and that they take the acupuncture very seriously there. Then I would also meat with a Hcg Diet "expert".

I made future appointments with them. I went to one appointment was not treated very well both in the acupuncture as they put headphones on me and I listened to the "Dr" basically try to brain wash me into thinking like they think it was very odd. After the acupuncture then I met with the Hcg Diet "expert" who her self was overweight pretty much like me. As she explained the diet to me I was then informed that I would have to buy all these extra Tea's and shakes and supplements they were NOT included in the enormous price I would be paying.

I left without purchasing them and was going to come the next appointment which was two days later and I just couldn't do it the way I was treated the additional charges they wanted me to purchase I just couldn't do it so I called and said I want to cancel my membership.

The girl on the phone stated that I need to come in and sit with the Dr. I said that I didn't want to just cancel my memebership and if I need to sigh anything just send it to me. She again stated I needed to sit down with the Dr. I said I don't want to just cancel it she said ok fine and hung up.

The next day I called and left a message on the company that if there was in fact any papers I needed to sign please fax them to this number otherwise call me if there is a problem. No one called and there were no papers faxed to me so I assumed it was taken care of.

A couple weeks later I started getting emails and text messages that my payment was due. I finally called the company and said I thought I cancelled my membership what is the problem. She said and I told you that you have to come in and talk to the Dr. about it. I said why whats the difference just cancel it she said no it was in the contract you signed. I said oh the contract I asked for a copy of you and never gave it to me both times that I asked for it. She said whatever I am sorry but this is our policy. So I was going to come in that evening and she said no he's isn't available this evening you could come Thursday at 330 which I would be working at that time so I said we cant. She said well I don't know when we can get you in then.

All I want is what I said I could do which was cancel my membership at any time. The amount owed is $3200 but as they stated I could cancel at any time.

Be very aware of this company their bait and switch they did with the Groupon and their difficulty in cancelling my memebership.

Also be aware this particular "Dr" has filed for bankruptcy in the past and has had several court cases filed against him.

Review: I was listening to a program on WISN 1130 Talk Radio about a company that has weight loss programs. They also do acupuncture. They were running a special of $99 per person. My sister wanted this for her Christmas present so I purchased one for her and one for myself. I made the appointments and was specific that we each wanted a acupuncture treatment. When we got there they had us fill out forms about weight loss and said that we had to talk to someone about all the services they offer before we could get our accupuncture. So we went into the office and was talked to (HIGH PRessure sales) for 45 minutes about their high priced weightloss programs. When we told him we were not interested in that right now, he said okay, well now the accupuncture was out to lunch and they could not do us that day and I had to reschedule. Mind you this was the whole reason for the appointment. I rescheduled the appointment and the girl said we would need to have the discussion on the programs all over again. This was suppose to be a present for my sister and this is not what I had paid for. I feel this is a total scam just to get you into the office so they can do high pressure sales.Desired Settlement: At this point I want a return of all my money since they did not hold up to what I signed up for.
