response because:The business claims that they manipulated the lead lamp and it came on. First, the person working on my vehicle was a child not authorized to actually be doing so. Second, after leaving this garage, I took the vehicle to an auto parts store who properly corrected the problem at no fee and indicated to me that the light was burned out from the beginning, so unless by some miraculous means a burnt out bulb cannot come back on. It took only one minute for the person at the auto parts store to correct the problem.  Thus, the labor fees being charged to me are unreasonable for what was performed and it also did not correct the problem. It is evident this garage simply wanted me to return the vehicle at a later time so they should charge even more fees. I have decided to also file complaint with the State Attorney General's Consumer protection office as well as the Department of Labor.

Review: On Saturday March 8th I took my vehicle to Vito and Gino's garage as both of my headlights were not operable. I was told that one headlight was replaced and that the other the mechanic's son (who I later found to be a teenager) had wiggled the wiring and it became operable again. I paid the bill which was $63.00 As I was to leave, I noticed the right headlight remained out. I was told I would have to bring the car back later for 'more extensive analysis." I drove to an auto parts store a few miles away and explained the situation with the headlights to the clerk. He looked at my vehicle, replaced the bulb and both headlights were now operable. The clerk said the headlight was simply burned out. It took him only about one minute to complete this procedure and the bulb was only $7. Not only was this mechanic dishonest but I the charge for the bulb was $15, more than twice what the auto parts store charges, and the remaining labor charge is highly unreasonable for work that obviously took a very brief time and was not done correctly and also partly done by a child.Desired Settlement: Refund of fee charged for labor.

Review: On 1/30/2014 I called my auto insurance company for a tow truck to tow my car from my house to my mechanic's shop to have a starter installed by my mechanic,as it would not start. My [redacted] insurance company contrats out with [redacted]'s Road Side Assistence Company, who dispatched a tow truck from Vito & Gino's Auto Repair to my house to pick up my car with their tow truck. The driver pulled my car onto the flatbed / rollback trucj by my car's rear end using "J" hooks and cables, and securing the front of my car with chains. The car was dropped off at my mechanic's shop and the starter was installed as I waited for the part to be installed.Upon leaving my mechanic's repair shop,I noticed my steering wheel was not centered, the car seemed to jump from side to side when going over bumps, and seemed to be dragging, dangeriously difficult to steer. The next day I took it to [redacted] in [redacted] PA to see what the problem might be,as it was not like this BEFORE the tow to my mech's shop.[redacted] informed me that my LEFT REAR FWD LATERAL LINK BAR was BENT alot,so much so that my right rear wheel was bent inwards and rubbing against another bar part of my rear suspension.I called Vito & Ginos that same day 1/30/2014 and they denied any wrong doing. My insurance company is looking ino the matter but keep mentioning a 500 dollar deductable I would have to pay, which I feel I should not have to pay since [redacted] Insurance are the ones who contracts out with the towing company through [redacted]'s.The [redacted] estimate to fix this is $564.17.My insurance company's investigation is on-going.They ([redacted]) called Vito & Gino's who were uncooperative with them and would not furnish them with their insurance info.Obviously Vito & Gino's tow truck damaged my car to the point it is now unsafe to drive and they are not taking responsibility for the damages they caused by the tow hooks to my rear suspension system.I believe Vito & Gino's should be held responsible to pay for my car repair.Desired Settlement: I feel Vito & gino's Auto Repair shop should pay to have my car repaired at a location of my choice,as my vehicle was not in this condition BEFORE they towed it to my mechanic's shop.I am a veteran / single parent on disability payments fixed income and cannot afford the $564.17 cost to fix the damages they caused to my vehicle.

I am rejecting this response because: When Vito & Gino wanted me to first bring my car to them on the day they towed it and damaged it with their tow truck, they did ask me if I wanted them to fix it and I ask them if they were going to fix any problem caused by their tow trcuk for free, since they damaged it,they said NO They would have to fix it for me and CHARGE me for the repair.I refused them as I felt I shopuld not have to PAY THEM for a repair they cuased, and they said that I would have to prove they damaged my vehicle. They did call me TEN DAYS LATER on my phone but I had a bad connection and chose not to return their call as they were asking if I got it fixed and where,I did not feel I had to answer their questions to reveal where I got it fixed at or how much it cost.In any event it was TEN DAYS TOO LATE,they ONLY BECAME "concerned" when they heard from YOU and my insurance company,[redacted],whom they were not cooperative with, according to the insurance claim inspector. In any event I had the car fixed at a different location and [redacted],the Roadside Assistence company whom [redacted] contracts out with, and they are sending me a reimbursement check out for the amount I paid out of pocket to have my car repaired.[redacted] informs me they will then seek compensation from Vito & Gino for that amount. If Vito & Gino would have been more cooperative with me on the first day I called them about the problem, and told me they would fix the problem,I would not have had to feel compelled to notify the Revdex.com,or my insurance company or [redacted].But their response the first time I contacted them was they didn't do it,their driver couldn't have done it and I'd have to prove it,and they would fix it for a repair cost.
