The venue is not at fault. The performer used the monies taken in to pay rent for the group's place in the theatre. When the...
group walked away from the contract they had with the venue they also left the venue refunding money out of its own pocket to people that purchased tickets. Refunds were first given through reversal of credit card charges, secondly, if contacted, then they were refunded by check.
Ms. [redacted] contacted Mr. [redacted], owner of the Branson Star Theatre, with her difficulties on 4/15. Due to lack of box office personnel to issue refunds, we had to write a check to refund her the cost of her tickets. When she supplied us with the address late on the 17th (Friday) we were able to print the check and mail it out to her for a full refund at that time.
