Vivid Dreams Reviews (2)

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

There is no proposed resolution included in Mr [redacted]'s comments to my complaint, only rationalizations and justifications. I could site many examples of how Mr [redacted] has lied in his statements to Revdex.com, but attached is 5 of his pictures representing his work at my wedding.  A picture says a thousand words.  Let his future prospective clients see this on the Revdex.com site and make their own decision as whether or not to hire him for their work.

Regards,

Hi,

This is [redacted] on the behalf of “Vivid Dreams LLC” in regards to [redacted] request of services rendered to him, his wife and family in the past. First and foremost I’m dearly sorry in advance and hope to get this matter resolved or brought...

to an understanding.

[redacted] is an employee within my day job facility where we were working associates; Mr. [redacted] been supportive of my portrait work over 1 year and, even praise work I have done for his friend in the past. A few months ago (less than a year) he found a woman online in the Philippines and over the course of time they fell in love.

Mr. [redacted] raved on how when she arrives in Arizona he will invite me to his wedding/engagement and will let me handle his portrait investment.

When the time started to narrow down he complained how expensive everything was getting her to the country and so forth, and an engagement session was likely not to happen, and he needed to minimize cost, as a professional photographer I informed him the risk you’ll will take on your own trying to budget your memories.

I advised Mr. [redacted] in the past approximate pricing for a portrait investment starts at $150-175 a session which in detail covers the photographers time, outfit changes, location, and editing. Sales of images are distributive differently.  Weddings start at $1500-1700. Feel free to research the market in Arizona.

Moving forward when Mr. [redacted] fiancé arrive to America he informed me of the space he require for the wedding which was in a Philippine restaurant location Phoenix, AZ and that he was almost depleted in funds and was unable to invest in engagement session/portraits and he was going to use a laptop to stream the ceremony of the wedding to her family back home. Since we had a pretty good relationship, I suggested an appropriate plan.

Contract stated $100 for Signature Portrait Framing (designer handmade custom cherry wood frame, w/ [redacted] Ivory tusk matte) available for signing w/ gold calligraphy pen when guest arrived, $200 for images (NOT PORTRAITS)  taken by [redacted], which you will receive on a memory stick, and $100 for HD VIDEO of the wedding voles and first dance. $200 Deposit was made.

The day of wedding upon arrival (with my assistance) to restaurant which they were in the process of serving loyal customers (not affiliated with the restaurant) the manager advised me to head in the back where my intricate off camera lighting wasn’t allowed. There were no more than 30 people in attendance and the place was extremely crowded/tight. To my surprise there was another coworker which was an acting priest, before I gave the cue to his voles which are very clearly on camera she preceded. The first dance a young child was hang on his leg the first 2 min which I recorded, any other video was a bonus.

I capture images as I promised in the contract, along with video. All obligations were meet on my end. I stayed well over 4 hours thinking I was doing a friendly favor.  When his family of 16 asked for a group picture I took multiple images asking everybody to say “cheese”. The images of him and his fiancé and the background blurry; the correct term is “Bokeh”, I have a Canon 5D Mark 111 and fully capable to use it to its fullest ability. I did have an email requesting a full refund of $400 (sic). I paid $120 for the custom frame.  I thought I was doing a friendly deed (Also I have no idea if the rest of the funds after deposit were ever made). Quite frankly I’m not worrisome of what someone in the Philippines think in regards from a monetary stand point, when its 40 Pesos to $1 dollar in the USA. A little bit of reality check $200 for a 4 hour wedding??

Explain how that works in America. Make a better investment in your memories next time for what you think is adequate services.  Feel free to check my photography work www.[redacted].com/[redacted].

Sincerely,
