The list of issues with VIVINT's service are countless
I paid for a CO monitorthey put in a smoke detector right next to the other smoke detector I hadso for years I was under the impression I had one when I didn't And vivint's response was "well we monitored it so we can't do anything about it"
My system sensor malfunctioned and they could not have anyone come out for a month
They made my husband attempt to service the system via phone doing the same exercise for almost hours which ultimately broke the panel and sensor which rendered the system unusable
They were suppose to credit us for downtime and convieniently didn't have record of the first call so they would only partially credit us
I tried to call them two times near the holidays (Christmas eve and new years eve) and they were unavailable - closed for the holidays
I attempted to terminate my service times - the termination department was closed and the department I talked to would not give me instructions on how to terminate - I later found out that they are not allowed even though it takes simple email
When I finally got a hold of the right department to cancel, they would not back date the cancellation They also said that once they received my written statement they would charge me for another month, even though my service had been off for over a week
I was billed after I stopped my terminated when I called in they said they had no record of my termination, which was over earlierI had the email proof luckily

Customer service has been terrible Put on hold multiple times over a series of months, failure to assist with issues, no response to *** *** inquiry Control panel ceased to work within a few months of installation, and customer service was NON EXISTENT - AND the company called me repeatedly for payment for a service I did not receive Company also refused to cancel my service due to a signed contract - had to threaten attorney action for breach of contract

This is the worst home security system company you could ever use!!! Initially after first switching our service from [redacted] to Vivint, things seemed good. Provided a good deal on more advanced equipment. However, if I would have known all the issues we would encounter going forward, I would have stuck with our outdated equipment and other service provider. Panel always has low battery issues or the touchscreen doesn't recognize your touch. You call Vivint to try to get the matter resolved and these people are extremely rude and unhelpful. Constant billing issues. Forget trying to get a resolution to that either. You get the run around and transferred to 10 different people and wind up being on the phone for an hour only to STILL not get the matter resolved. Their policies and procedures change depending on who you talk to...it's extremely frustrating. I have never in my life dealt with a company who had such HORRIBLE customer service. DON'T sign up with this company!!! I will never do business with Vivint again nor would I ever recommend them to anyone.

Very dissatisfied with the service. The system started making a beeping sound. I complained and they ignored me. Sound is still going on. You do not want their service.

These people take advantage of the customers. I called with sufficient time to discontinue the service and they waited a few days before entering the information in the computer. That way they added one more month to pay the service. I've been trying to get rid of this service, but unfortunately I had it for 3 years set. I would tell anyone do not use Vivint.

To put this in the nicest way possible, Vivint has got to be the worst company with the absolute worst customer service. They are never on the same page with anything.. I swear, none of them know what is going on. For starters, when the guy came to install our system, he said "oh, I don't know if we can install it in this town. I will have to get the approval from my supervisor first". They clearly knew my address when coming out, so he should have gotten the "approval" before ever coming to my house in the first place. HOURS later, his supervisor finally called him back and approved the installation. While he had waited on the call he literally sat on our couch and watched our tv and it was awkward. He kept saying he should call any minute now when we told him just to come back another day. We ended up moving months later and I sat up an appt for them to move the system into our new house. The morning of the appt(which I had taken off work for by the way) I called them asking what time they'd be there. The guy I talked to said he would have the installer guy call me with a time. Hours later, I called again because I hadn't heard back. The person I talked to said they cancelled my appt a few weeks previous because I never answered their phone call (off of a weird number) to confirm it. They never left a voicemail or sent an email or anything to tell me It was cancelled. I was so mad I told them I wanted to cancel our service and they wouldn't do it because we had signed the contract. Now we either have to make ANOTHER appt with them or pay a settlement. I would pay the full 2,400 we supposedly owe than to have them back at my house. I have never been so angry.

Vivint is courteous knowledge of their products Technicians are friendly and fast to respond I have been with them for a long time Very satisfied with the products Makes me feel secure

THE WORST COMPANY WHEN IT COMES TO CANCELLING!!!!

I have been trying to cancel Vivint service since September of 2015 for my 71 year old mother. In April of 2015, my mom was diagnosed with Stage 3 Pancreatic Cancer. We immediately listed her house for sale to move in with me during the last phase of her life. My mother's house sold in September of 2015. I attempted to cancel the service due to the sale of her house. My mother is living with me fulltime after surgery and chemo. She was and is still on home hospice care. I was told by Vivint that I had to provide a letter from the hospice service. In December of 2015, the letter was provided. As of February of 2016, I continue to receive bills from Vivint. I called Vivint customer service to see why the service hasn't been cancelled. Vivint customer service advised that under their special circumstances review, home hospice doesn't qualify for cancellation purposes. Hospice is hospice. Whether it's home hospice or a hospice facility, the person is still in a terminal state. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE.

three appointments to have a tech come to our house to fix the problem. The first appointment the tech never showed up and t were canceled, by Vivint, on the day of scheduled appointment. I wish we would have done more research before signing up with Vivint Secuirty (search Vivint on Revdex.com). Do not waste your time or money on this service. Their equipment is cheap and their customer service is horrible. If I could, I would rate Vivint Security with a big fat ZERO!

This company has by far the WORST customer service I've ever experienced. They have burned me from ever wanting to sign a contract with another security system! To start off, we were woken up at 2 am by the security system. The alarm said glass break and I was so frightened thinking someone broke in our house. We found out that it was a false alarm and a battery was low in our control panel due to a defaulty battery that they themselves installed. When we asked about them coming out to repair or replace their defaulty battery they said we would have to pay for a repairman and the part for them to repair their defaulty product which we haven't even had for a year. If that wasn't frustrating enough ,we sold our house recently and have been trying to cancel our contract with them since we can't take it with us to the new place. Their reps said it would be expensive to cancel because we would have to pay out the remainder of our contract. They told us if we could find someone to take over our account, then we wouldn't have to pay out the remainder of our contract. We have spoke with multiple reps from Vivint to determine what the remainder of our contract is. We had 3 reps tell us that the end date on our contract was in 26 months and have to pay 1,500 to cancel.. When we called the 4th time, their rep told us that they have a glitch in their system and it shows 25 months remaining on our contract when it says somewhere else that we have 32 months and would have to pay 2,000.00 to end our contract. We called again the 5th time and the rep told us the same thing as when as when we called the 4th time. That we have a remainder of 25 months, but theirs a glitch and it shows somewhere else to end in 32 months. I'm frustrated that different reps tell us different things. We would like to hear that they are all on the same page as a company, but that's not the case here. I just wanted this to go as a warning for all those about to sign a contract with them. Don't let them talk you into signing a 5 year contract. That's what they initially wanted us to sign, but we negotiated a little over 3 years worth of a contract.

In June 2013, Vivint showed up at our door selling their product. The man who sold us the program explained it was a 2 year program along with a ton of other information... I remember the 2 years because its such a lengthy contract. After some discussion, we decided to try it because it was the same about of time for a cell phone contract. In July of 2015 (2 years later), we called to cancel the program because I lost my job and was looking to cut out some expenses. That's when they told us the length of the program was for 5 years! We expressed how irritated we were with the lie and they could careless... told us to look at our paperwork... and sure enough, what was told to us and what was written down were 2 different things. We offered to pay a shut off fee... to which we were told would be the amount of the bill for the remainder of the contract - which is just absurd. But we were encouraged to trick a friend or family member to take over the contract... NO WAY! In December, we choose to make a stand... they can no longer bill the credit card. After 1.5 months of nightly calls, they told us to file an official shut off paperwork... I did. Now its just a waiting game on them to make good on their threats of hurting our credit rating... DO NOT GET ANYTHING FROM THIS LYING COMPANY! THEY WILL TELL YOU ANYTHING TO GET YOU TO SIGN YOUR NAME!
