Review: My wife got some dental work done. When she was finished they told her that she also needed a root canal.My wife said she didn't know how much money she had left on the insurance plan, it was December and she would come back in January when the money starts over again. She was leaving the office when they talked her into staying. my wife told them she couldn't because we couldn't afford any money out of pocket. I have a piggyback plan just for that reason. The office said that they called a ccpoa my insurance company and said that there was enough money to cover the bill. My wife said it didn't sound right, they said that I didn't use the insurance at all or very little and they would transfer the money from my account to hers being that they are on the same plan. my wife agreed to do the work as Long as there was no money due. They said that we wouldn't owe any money. They did the work,about two weeks later we get a bill for seven hundred and fifty dollars. I called them and they said that our insurance wouldn't cover the bill. I agreed to pay if they would let me make installments. They agreed. I called them a week later to pay the installments and they said they couldn't take installments and that I had to pay all at once or nothing. They were completely rude to my wife,and didn't care that we didn't have the money. I contacted my insurance company and they said that they talked to the dentist office but their story was that they didn't tell them that the money was there and they didn't tell them that they could use the money from my account,they said they don't do that. Long story short they got the courts to garnish my wages for the bill that I was gonna pay any way when I had it saved up. Two years ago my wife weNt to a dentist that said we didn't have to pay out of pocket with cash,when the got out of surgery they gave her a bill for fifteen hundred dollars that I had to pay,they said it was an estimate,but didn't go over the scope of work that they said they were going to do.

Desired Settlement:

If they say no payment before the work is done, then don't bill that person or meet in the middle or at least discuss it or give payment options. There probably is no way to get my money back but I would like them to be held responsible for screwing up. I am being held responsible for their screw up and I am powerless over it.thank you
