I am rejecting this response because: As a recap, I hired *** *** via ***.I should have been told immediately by *** with VML Exteriors (the expert) that gutters will not be a good idea because of the metal roof on our homeInstead, he happily took $from me and installed gutters, which did not last more than a couple of weeks, until our first snowfallI even asked *** if I should purchase heavy duty commercial grade gutters, which are 6" size gutters vsthe average 5", and much larger downspoutsAgain, he was happy to sell me the more expensive gutters & down spoutsAfter that first snowfall, the gutters were truly destroyed in most areas, if not completely ripped off of our homeI contacted *** immediately via text to show him the damageI also saw after they were ripped off of the home, that the screws/fasteners were 24"-27" apart from one another, when he promised me they would be no more than 16" apartWhen I contacted him, he would get back with me quickly initially, and then start to stall for weeks or months at a time, probably hoping I would just go awayHe then mentioned that I should have snow guards installed on my metal roof or the gutters will continue to be ripped off of our homeThat is ridiculous! I had to save up just to get the gutters for $I definitely would have never been able to afford and install gutters with an additional cost of having to install snow guardsWhy didn't he tell me this before he happily took my $1700!? The gutters were a complete waste of money and I truly deserve a complete refundI was never told about the snow guards until after the gutters were destroyed*** can either come and remove the ruined gutters, or let them fall off in the next snow storm and I will have to dispose of them myselfAs the owner of his contracting company, who is a supposed expert as installing gutters, roofs and snow guardshe should have absolutely told me it wasn't worth purchasing gutters unless I can afford snow guards at the same time, to avoid any potential damage to the guttersThis was a contractor mistake, not the customersA full refund is completely necessary in this situation***'s offering to install snow guards at a discount, will not work at allI can't afford even $moreThank you.
I will be entering a payment plan to return a portion of the total for the contractStill working in the details for thisI think by early next week everything should be finalized
