The purchase of granite countertops were defective and the workmanship was bad We complained about the pitting, roughness and discoloration of the countertops We were told that we should not be using that type of granite for kitchen purposes At the time that we ordered the countertops they knew that the product was going to be used in the kitchen and they installed them They came out a couple of times to try to remedy the defect and nothing was done Repeated calls did not settle this
We've had personal care aides for my 94 year old father through VNAs Bellefonte, PA office, since last December. It was a rough start seeing as we were never contacted to set up services until the night before they were to start. The manager had just started that day and said that nobody had covered the office since the last manager left. We got going and dad was assigned two amazing young women that literally became part of our family. They were so great with dad and patient with my two small children and the children I babysit. My husband and I, along with our children were able to leave the house and do things without worry. About a month ago, Vna cut hours back because they are too cheep to buy insurance for their employees. All of a sudden, they cut our hours, which they are not allowed to do per dads service agreement. They notified me Friday night at 8:30 two weekends ago that their would be no weekend coverage. Then last weekend they emailed me Thursday night to tell me they had no weekend coverage. In addition to this, they've also denied all of our 20 hours of flex time. I understand the managers last day was yesterday, the 10th. I've been given zero contact information about who to contact in case of an emergency or if their is a problem. This morning, the 11th, dads aide was to be here at 10:00. It is now 11:30 and there is still nobody here. I have nobody to call. I am so thankful that my dad lives with me, for if he stayed alone, nobody would be there and I'd have no idea. I'm very disappointed in VNA. The company that people are trusting their elderly with has really failed our family.
