We are stunned that Ms [redacted] has made this complaintOur telephone representative, ***, made the mistake of not recognizing that Ms [redacted] 's home was located beyond our service boundry, and we did not realize this until the service technician informed us after the treatment was performedWe contacted Ms [redacted] and apologized, explaining that we would not be able to service her home on a regular basis in the future due to the far distance from our office to her homeShe did not complain to us at that time and she was happy with the initial treatment.Family Pest Control is proud of our service abilities and we strive to be completely honest and transparentWe feel the over positive reviews on Angie's List ( our primary review provider ) attest to our excellent serviceOur company does not need to trick customers in order to "fill in for a slow day"We ask that Ms [redacted] re-access her opinion of FAMILY and to accept our apology for not being able to service her area

I am rejecting this response because:This response is and just untrueThe technician told me himself that my area and neighborhood calls are always given to him because he lives in my areaHe stated that he cringed every time he got a call in my area because some of the homes are awful, and I did admit that myselfMy area is being rebuilt at the present time, however my home is brand new inside and outThe technician stated he remembered me from my rental property which I admit was infested with roaches and I did not realize it until after signing a month lease which is why I called them 2-yrs agoThey cancelled my service, plain and simply because they realized I was a time call back for free service under their day guarentee and assume I would do the sameMy home I bought is new and I called them because I was happy with their service and still am happy with the pest controlWhat I am unhappy with is the fact that they sent someone out, someone who told me to my face he services my neighborhoodThey then changed their story and I feel very discriminated against that they would drop me because I had a bad rentalI own a nice homeI am a nurse and my husband a year VIA employeeAnd we both feel as though I was treated as undesirableI fully believe if my husband had been here for the service call and not myself, we have our next service pendingIt's just bad business and your apology for discrimination is not necessaryJust don't do it to anyone else, it feels horribleI suggest you call your business " certain families" pest controlI was so disappointed after bragging to my new husband about your wonderful service to my rental home.....which by the way is 1/mile from the home we boughtI attached just a few pictures of our beautiful little home we bought, remodeled and have put another $10k into making our ownNothing to duscriminate against here

Family Pest Control has never discriminated against customers who live in a particular side of townAnyone who calls us within our service area is treated equally and with respectLong ago we serviced Ms***s area, but not since We have some customers who use us on a regular basis that we have "grandfathered" into our service area, and we have a technician who lives on the southside and he services those customers.We feel we have the right to not service all of San Antonio due to it's large sizeWe do not have enough requests for service in the southside to warrant driving the long didtance from our office located in the northwestMs*** is not e=accepting our honest explanation for not servicing her area, and she is wrongly assuming that we cannot offer her further services due to discriminationThe technician who serviced her initially has been warned not to ever imply that certain classes of customers are not welcomed by our companyAgain, anyone within our service boundry is eligible to be serviced.If Ms*** had only contacted us personally with her concerns, I feel we could have satisfied her with our explanationTo post negative comments on-line without following the more considerate path required to resolve problems, is mean spiritedWe apologise to Ms*** if our technician was seeming out of line with his comments, and we want to insure her that her living status had nothing to do with our not being able to provide her with additional services.*** *** - Manager
