Ms [redacted] did purchase a 30LOFT in September of Even though she was living in the trailer which voids the warranty, the selling dealer, [redacted] in Hammond Louisiana made several trips to her campsite to fix some issues she had due to living in the trailer According to the dealership, they could not make her satisfied so they agreed to give Ms [redacted] a new LOFT in January of Two weeks ago we get a warranty authorization request from [redacted] because the air conditioner stopped working and there was some water intrusion due to lack of regular maintenanceMs [redacted] states in her complaint that CJ from [redacted] said "the seals...were bad and had to be replaced"Checking and replacing or recaulking seals is part of regular maintenanceI have included a pdf of our owners manual which on page eight covers the fact that residential use will void the warrantyYou will also see sections covering the regular maintenance of the trailerBased on the pictures taken by Kent [redacted] we could see there has never been any resealing done on the roof areas where the leaks are supposed to be.Our travel trailers, and every other manufacturer's travel trailers require regular maintenance by the owner to uphold the integrity of the unitIf you would like I can supply you with other RV manufacturers warranties stating the same as ours.This customer is living full time in a product that is designed for occasional recreational useThis will require even more diligence in maintaining the trailer There are no manufacturer defects in this trailerIf there were Vohne Liche Manufacturing would take care of them.Vohne Liche Manufacturing does not offer an extended warrantyMs [redacted] must have purchased an after market extended warranty from [redacted] **

the dealership, they could not make her satisfied so they agreed to give Ms. [redacted] a new 30 LOFT in January of 2017. I am rejecting this response because:
We are living in the trailer like most people located in the Louisiana area due to great flood of 2016. We have not stayed in it for 365 days straight. We stay with family members as much as possible, but when there are several families out of a home due to the great flood, where do you want people to live, on the street, in cardboard boxes, in alleys, in an uninhabitable home or where? We do & have done maintenance on the trailer, the roof has been inspected by us each time we washed the roof (we are not professionals, but we do the best of our ability to make sure our trailer is kept up. We check upstairs for any issues especially after hard rainfall). This is the first time the trailer was taken in for the 1st year inspection which is required. This was actually done before the year was up, which will not be until 2/20/18. Yes I purchased a 5 yr extended warranty at the time of signing. We were told by the salesman at the time of signing this warranty takes care of the roof, seams, caulk & many other issues for a period of 5 years as long as we bring it to [redacted] for yearly inspection (now we have had issues with the integrity of the salesman, which many people like us during the flood, we all fell on the unprofessionalism if this sales person. I did speak with the General Manager of the sales side of [redacted] about this sales person & requested to have a new one when we had the manufacture defect of the first RV.) I did request to have a different model of a Riverside to prevent more issues of this same model, but Riverside made the decision to not allow us to do that. Riverside has been horrible at customer service when we’re also told at signing that Riverside has excellent customer service. Well we have found out over the last month how horrible the customer service is. Even per the shop supervisor, CJ, at [redacted], said the caulk should be replaced every couple of years, not 11 months. All of this could have been avoided if The General Manager of Riverside would have returned my phone calls that I left messages for an entire week. This is the reason the complaint was filed due to the refusal of contact which again shows the lack of customer service. All of these reasons plus the fact Riverside has no compassion for people who has lost everything to their name, is why this complaint was filed. I do not suggest anyone purchase a Riverside RV or 5th wheel if they care care anything about customer service.
