After having maintenance done on my car at a different shop, I had to take it to Volkswagen to have the injector(s) worked on. After taking it in to Volkswagen they told me it was not injectors it was a host of other things. They had my car for a day & a half, told me the fuel pump was my problem but the car was running. I took the car home [redacted] noticed a wet spot under car & found that a cap on the end of my return line was not properly installed & was spraying fuel on the engine. I made another appointment to have this fixed, they said it was repaired. I drove it for that day & at the end of the day there was no cap on the return line & the engine compartment is saturated in fuel & now the car will not start. Attempted to speak with the maintenance manager he had someone else phone me. When we purchased a new 2015 VW GTI we were sold a block heater as part of the package; the block heater does not exist.We purchased a 2015 VW GTI in July of 2014 from VW Centre Saskatoon. Our salesperson for the deal was [redacted]. As part of the sales deal a block heater/pan heater was included. We were told that the block heaters had not arrived yet but would arrive at the dealership in November 2014 at which time VW would contact us to install the part. As that winter passed we never heard from VW about the block heater. When we took our car in for service and inquired about it, I was told to contact my salesperson which resulted in nothing happening.I once again began to inquire about the block heater this winter. I received quality service from someone(A lady at the [redacted] dealership I mistakingly called) and found out that there is no block/ pan heater for the 2015 GTI nor has there ever been one as VW has not designed one yet. We were sold something that did not exist [redacted]. It is certainly possible that we would not have purchased this car had we known that a block heater was not available.I have made several attempts to talk to my salesperson both over the phone and in person [redacted] but I have been unable to talk with him.We have been offered $350 dollars in place of the pan heater. I also investigated with another dealership in Prince Albert to obtain a second opinion. That dealership confirmed that there was not a block/pan heater for the VW GTI but that they had come up with a aftermarket fix. When I mentioned this to the sales manager at VW Saskatoon, he then followed up and is willing to have his service department install this fix and is "confident" it won't effect the warranty.Desired Settlement[redacted]Business Response [redacted]Good Morning, We are more then prepared to install the aftermarket fix as per the clients request. The requested part is a non Volkswagen Part because a Volkswagen part is currently not available. Given the fact this part is a non Volkswagen manufacture part it is not covered by the manufactures warranty.
