Quick and painless
Worked with Chris Martin on a preowned vehicle from Volvo. Saw it online, test drove the vehicle quick on my way home one day and decided to purchase it. Chris was great and made it a fairly effortless process. Would recommend Chris/ go to him for future vehicles!

[redacted]  In order for us to hold a vehicle we not only need a signed buyers order but a deposit as well. I understand that you did attempt to reach [redacted] but he was assisting another client so he couldn't speak to you at the time that you had called. [redacted] did reach out to you through email and did tell you that we would hold the vehicle but after not hearing back from you for a bit he did tell you that we needed a deposit to secure the vehicle. Before you were able to do this another client came in and purchased the car. No agreement on price had even been made yet as you were still trying to negotiate when we had another customer come in that was willing to pay the asking price for the car.  I know that you sent [redacted] an email that you were going snowboarding and I do apologize that as a result of [redacted] not being available when you were free and then you not being available when he tried to reach you I feel that this is where this all fell apart. Review: I brought my [redacted] to the dealer to have them replace the clutch and flywheel. They ended up ordering the wrong parts multiple times. It took over a month to get my car back for a simple clutch job. Not only did it take over a month but instead of replacing everything I asked for, they had old parts fixed which wasnt what I asked for. I picked my car up last week only to find out the car still wasnt running properly.

I would like my car fixed and running properly by another shop/dealer at volvos expense not mine or a refund of my money so I can take it a shop I can trust

Business

Response:

The customer's initial statements are correct. The incorrect clutch was ordered and installed. We realized there was something wrong, we called Mr [redacted] and asked him to come down to the shop and drive the car, which he did. He researched clutches and asked us to buy a Spec clutch kit and install it. We ordered it but the wrong clutch came in. Our parts department consulted with the Spec company and finally, after about two weeks of calling, the correct clutch came in. During the time that it took to sort this out, we gave Mr. [redacted] a loaner car to drive. The original clutch kit came with a non performance flywheel which was not able to be used with the Spec clutch that was finally ordered. We sent the flywheel from Mr. [redacted]'s car to the machine shop. We were assured that the flywheel, after resurfacing and repairing the locating pins, would be fine with the performance clutch that was installed. After the repair Mr. [redacted] picked up the car, and drove it convervatively allowing the clutch to seat, as instructed. After about a week, he called to complain that it was begining to slip under normal driving at 3000 RPM's. [redacted], our service manager, spoke with Mr. [redacted] at this point. Mr. [redacted] told him that he had bought a different clutch kit. He had researched the clutches and determined that the Spec clutch was not as good as he had been told. [redacted] offered to install that clutch free of charge but Mr. [redacted] stated that he was going to have someone else do the work. [redacted] offered a $300 discount as a goodwill gesture at this point.

Consumer

Response:

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT ACCEPT the response from the business.)

I do not except this offer because 300 dollars is not nearly enough to cover any expenses. I just spent another 700 dollars on another clutch not including labor. The reason why the spec clutch failed was due to volvo having my old lightened flywheel resurfaced. Ive been told by multiple mechanics your not supposed to resurface something that is half the material to begin with. And resurfacing my old flywheel is not what I asked for
