Client came in for concern of windows rattlingThe client was not charged for the road test, the inspection or any portion of the diagnosisThe maintenance of the car is not something covered by the factory warrantyThe service of the convertible top is recommended once a year or every 15,miles whichever comes firstAs part of the service which includes lubricating the hinge pivot points, the weather strips in the top, that make contact with the glass, over time become hardPart of the convertible top service includes lubricating the weather strips so they would then make better contact and provide better sealing to the glass from the topThe top will have difficulty becoming fully closed when it has not been lubricated or serviced for more than monthsBinding of the moving parts could occur keeping the top from being fully operationalThe top was operational upon departure from the no charge diagnosisVolvo Cars of Louisville is prepared to offer $for customer service goodwill [redacted] Service Manager

Thank you for sending us our customer’s complaint. We contacted her as soon as we received it and apologized for her experience. We inspected the tire and found that there was nothing wrong with the tire itself. It had been punctured by something in the road that caused it to lose air, but it was not a blowout.
The brand of tire she received has always been liked by our other customers, and this is the first complaint we have received on them.
I feel terrible that this has happened and refunded her for the tires as goodwill. Thank you for your assistance, and let me know if you need anything else.

15,000 miles whichever comes first. As part of the service which includes lubricating the 6 hinge pivot points,  the weather strips in the top, that make contact with the glass, over time become hard. Part of the convertible top service includes lubricating the weather strips so they would then make better contact and provide better sealing to the glass from the top. The top will have difficulty becoming fully closed when it has not been lubricated or serviced for more than 14 months. Binding of the moving parts could occur keeping the top from being fully operational. The top was operational upon departure from the no charge diagnosis. This needs resolved and Sam Swope is liable ASAP.

tire 9 hours after purchasing the tires. Initially, Volvo refused to refund my purchase price but nearly two weeks after, they did. Still very disappointed in how they handled the whole situation but relieved it is resolved.
