Review: On 2/10/15, a $500 deposit check was delivered to [redacted] for a [redacted] puppy to be born on 2/19. I was assured on 2/8/15 that deposits were fully refundable up until pups are 8 weeks old. I canceled request for pup on 4/3/15, when pups were just over 6 weeks old. I arranged a meeting with my husband and [redacted] on 4/18 to pick up cash/check for our $500 deposit at his [redacted] residence on [redacted]. No show by [redacted]. Correspondence via e-mail continued on a roughly weekly basis, attempting to get check mailed or picked up, with promises by [redacted] that the deposit would be sent as soon as possible. I am taking action now because [redacted] is no longer responding to my e-mails. I can send e-mail documentation upon request of the above as well as a copy of canceled deposit check.As an aside, two litters were born one day apart, 2/19 and 2/20/15. The 4/18 pick up date was selected by [redacted] because he thought he would have cash on hand then to give to my husband because people were coming by to pay for and take home their puppy from either of the two litters. He stated that several people backed out of picking up their pups. He continues to advertise for upcoming litters (and there are several), presumably receiving deposits for these pups. We became weary when we realized, upon speaking with others that had received puppies from Michael, that he does not show customers his off-site kennels. The pups, mom and dad dogs are brought to his [redacted] residence in his car and shown to customers there. I have been unable to find his LLC business listed in searches for [redacted] businesses.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive our $500 refundable deposit back promptly.
