My name is Lisa and I have been trying to close an account with Vonage for about months nowEvery month I continue to get charged, and each time I call they have a new reason why they did not cancel itI also currently have an active account with them that I can't even use properlyThe customer service is terribleEach time I call and ask why my phone does not work, they say it could 'possibly' be my internet connectionWell, I have the fastest, most expensive, internet that Time Warner offers and my phone is still not workingMy customers are fed up with the calls being droppedPLEASE cancel my first account and hep me resolve my second

Both customer service and product quality are well below an acceptable standard I switched to Vonage after our PBX system died - over a two month period I spent more than hours trying to set up and trouble shoot the system Admittedly one of the hours was waiting on hold for their techreps
Call quality was so bad we missed dozens of calls completely and had numerous customer complaints that they could not reach us The last month the accepted procedure in the office was to get the name and number of the caller and them call them back on my cell phone to get a good connection

Signed up for lines and phones for our biggish small business with Alex their sales guy in AprilPhones arrived quickly and setup was easy and painlessMy department was able to handle the rollout seamlessly and without Vonage "Business" holding our handThe Polycom 300s are great, the features are great, and the uptime is tremendousThen came the number porting!!! OMG!!! We have main incoming outside line and direct lines for key individualsHOLY COW!!! It is now AugustThe main line was ported a month or agoof the direct lines made it after thatGetting barked at by other employees and calling Vonage "Business" has now become part of my job description for the yearIT ALL SIMPLY BOILS DOWN TO SIGNIFICANT INEPTITUDE IN THE SUPPORT DEPARTMENTWhen you don't need them everything works GREATWhen you do they're a disasterWhen I call they show no sign of caring or knowledge to do anythingThe best they can do is delete your port request so you can submit a new oneOne time and one time only I got hold of a helpful man fully equipped with a brain that contained actual knowledge and thankfully that was on porting the main incoming number albeit after monthsHe took things to task, he contacted his manager Jason, who didn't want to be helpful but came throughHe even contacted me the next day to update me on the progress! I wish I could remember his nameBut every other time I called and asked for him I never got him againThat is of course with the assurance that they are just as capable of helping me as he isHah! Keep in mind I never got impatient, or loud, or cursed at anyone nor will I ever calling any support line because it's simply not in my job descriptionBOTTOM LINE IS IF YOU NEED NUMBERS PORTED AND YOU'RE NOT THE ABSOLUTE BOSS AT YOUR BUSINESS AND HAVE PEER LEVEL EMPLOYEES WHO CAN GET FRUSTRATED WITH YOU STEER WELL CLEAR OF THIS UNPROFESSIONAL NONSENSE
