Customer, *** ***, did have a recall performed on his Acadia on July 7~,on RO# ***The recall performed was to reprogram the lifigate controlmoduleThis program update is done by plugging a computer in under the dash of thevehicleThere are no replacements of parts or any
physical repairs done for the recall.The customer came back to the dealership a couple of weeks later and advised theservice adviser that he could not get the hatch to open and that he also forced the rearhandleThe customer then brought the vehicle in for our tech to inspect, As the techwas inspecting the vehicle he found that the latch for the hatch was corroded and brokeninternallyThe damage may have been caused by the customer forcing the handleTheservice adviser, a young lady, explained the issue to the customer and then had our techalso show the customer the issue, The vehicle warranty is for three years 36,milesthe warranty expired on May 23rd of and had exceeded the miles by 145,Thecustomer declined to have it repaired at his expense
