heard from [redacted] or [redacted] in several years. I was emailing and speaking with Janet trying to help her over the phone. I offered to come out to fix it, if she would pay her past due balance and a services fee, but she declined. I would be more than happy to come over to their house at [redacted] Canyon End Road, [redacted], CA 91387 to fix whatever the problem is after their balance is paid in full.
In regards to the job not being complete we have done all of the work that we were contracted for plus other work that we did in addition to the contract. Again I would be more than happy to work with the
[redacted] family again after they pay their balance.

Vortec Security technician (Robert) came to my house to fix my existing alarm system. He was very knowledgeable about the security system that was installed over 10 years ago. I likes how upfront and reasonable the pricing was. No high pressure sales tactics as other companies I was shopping with. Very friendly, helpful and the technician went out of his way to help me understand the new system that he upgraded me with. Awesome new technology that lets me control my house from my smartphone.
Would definitely refer Vortec Security to others.

Review: I simply need the CORRECT "installer code" for my alarm system in order to stop it from erroneous alarms going off in the middle of the night.

Purchase date of alarm system is June 2010 for a DSC Model 832 set up by owner, [redacted].

Just under 3 years ago, [redacted] (owner) of Vortec Security Services came to my home to perform a variety of work related to low voltage power (i.e. sound system setup, security system, home intercom system, etc.). To this day, the job is not complete. He started showing up, off and on, and then eventually avoided my phone calls and refused to return messages, voice or email. The security system, that he did complete the installation of, has been having false alarms. I reached [redacted] some months back as I learned that I needed the installer code (or default code) that he used to install our system in order to fix this intermittent problem I'm having. [redacted] gave me "a" code, but not "the" code. So now, I relentlessly have tried to contact him by leaving him voice messages and email but - - no surprise, no response. I was finally able to get [redacted]s attention as the direct result of posting my negative review on his business. He has since then been trailing me along with a couple of correspondence responses saying he will come out to look at the system BUT, unfortunately, its been all talk and NO ACTION!Desired Settlement: I would like [redacted] to come out and reset the alarm system using the proper installer code used at the time of installation - whatever that number is. He claims and shared with me a specific number that he uses all of the time but it does not work when I try to reset it myself.

Review: Impossible to cancel contract.

I have been using Vortec Security since 2010. They sent me a bill in Oct, for 10/1/2014-9/30/2015. I called and tried to cancel my services and offered to pay to the month to make it current. They are only willing to take the whole year payment, claiming that if I don't cancel 30 days before the new cycle it automatically renews. I didn't even get a bill until Oct. so it is impossible to cancel 30 days before it is due.Desired Settlement: I would simply like to cancel my contract as of 12/8/14 and pay what I owe for the partial year (oct, nov, and dec) I no longer wish to do business with them.
