[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: Under the Federal Regulations, there are calling time restrictions for telemarketers, charities, and survey companies to call outside of the hours of 8:00am to 9:00pm. This business called my residence at 9:20pm. When asked if she was aware of the time the woman on the phone stated that yes she knew the time and when asked to state the time she stated 9:20pm. This violation of Federal Regulations is the basis for my complaint which was not answered satisfactorily by the business in response to this complaint. The business practice of calling after 9:00pm must be stopped and the business must satisfactorily show that they have trained their personnel and are no longer engaging in this behavior.Regards,*** ***

| received the complaint forwarded by you from [redacted]. While she is not one of our customers, wanted to reply.
Our company conducts market research and opinion research surveys. The main method is via the telephone. We are not a telemarketing company, we do not...
sell any products, and we do not ask for contributions of any kind (other than one's opinion). As such, our business is not covered by the national Do Not Call Registry, which only applies to telemarketing and solicitation phone calls. While we can ensure a respondent is not called again for a specific study, which I have already done as believe [redacted] has already lodged complaints with my company, we do not maintain a Do Not Call list, nor are we required to do so by law. We are mindful we ask respondents to give us some of their time to answer questions and a simple request to the interviewer to not be called again is sufficient to make sure we do not call a phone number again. We are not in the business of harassing people. We are well-respected members of the research community. We have conducted countess opinion polls over our 20+ years of doing business and while we do occasionally encounter a person such as [redacted], most respondents enjoy giving their time and opinions. Our intent was not to disturb [redacted] and we apologized for doing so.Sincerely,Daniel K

Review: My phone number is on the National Do Not Call Registry. It was 2120 on 12 August 2014 when this firm called me to conduct research. It is a complete violation of my privacy and the Do Not Call Registry to do this. I get up for work at 0320 in the morning and therefore go to bed between 2000 and 2100 each night. I should be able to sleep without the phone ringing from a telemarketer looking to conduct "research" after normal business hours. This invasion of my privacy and disturbance of my household is a serious issue that should be remedied.Desired Settlement: I want to ensure that this firm deletes my phone number ###-###-#### from ALL their databases and that I am not contacted further. Furthermore, I wish to know how they obtained my phone number and if they even checked to see if it was on the National Do Not Call Registry.
