Working with financial advisor to roll over several 401k plans. All have gone off without a hitch - except Voya. Two times they failed to process a faxed spouse agreement for the rollover. No direct line to call processors. Third time we faxed and overnighted document. Sent letter back they couldn’t process due to address difference between faxed doc and their system. Call revealed they made mistake keying in address, not us. Told us to send request a 4th time as they corrected system address over phone. Couldn’t answer why they wouldn’t process form but sent two huge checks with the bad address in system!

Bottom line: NEVER USE THEM! My financial advisor who does this for a living says they are THE WORST she has ever worked with. Incompetent, broken processes, inability to directly talk with other corporate divisions, force customer to resubmit CORRECT PAPERWORK OVER AND OVER DUE TO THEIR OWN INCOMPETENCE. No desire to proactively address these issues.

I am a business owner with a 401k plan and I will NEVER use them, and will advise every other business owner to avoid.

Thank you for this review. In reading over so many of these reviews that ring familiar, I'm beginning to realize that changing my 403B to Voya might be a huge mistake. Thanks for the warning!

Can't get my money! We have money in Voya now that we need it they won't give it to us. Repeated lies "check's in the mail" never comes. Even give them a voided check for direct deposit....no money. Guess they figure we will just give up. Think they are now set up in the Philippines ?
This company claims to be the "Worlds most Ethical Company". Should be "Worlds most Unethical Company"...Stay away from these guys, they will steal your money.

Review: I have been bullied by Voya Financial to surrender my life insurance policy which pays 5.5% and has been paying for it self for over 20 years. They sent me a bill for $269.00 from a company I never heard of but they claim to have my policy .I purchased it from United services life in 1988. I have made five calls to six people but they have not been able to produce a statement of why I owe them anything. They say they will cancel my policy if I do not pay. I think they are just bullying old policy holders into cashing out their policies. They are probably doing this the thousands of old people and it need to be stopped. All they will tell me is the cash out value. They will not tell me what has happened to my guaranteed minimum 5.5% interest .Three supervisors: a Mr.R[redacted], Ms. l[redacted] and a Mr. V[redacted] all have promised to email and post me a complete statement of why I own them the money but none have. For 27 years I have received a full statement but all the sudden all I got was a bill. This is just plane wrong and I really need your help to prevent them from stealing my policy. I only have a 30 day grace period and I am at a dead end.Desired Settlement: I want them to admit they billed me in error and continue my life insurance in accordance with my contract and stop bulling old people int cashing out their accounts. That is thievery and they should be sanctioned.

Review: We have had a retirement annuity with Voya (previously ING) for over 30 years. Over the past years we have taken a few personal loans from the annuity. Our previous loan, which we have been paying for several years was due on the [redacted] of the month in January, April, July and October. Our newest loan was due beginning October 2014. I assumed it was also due on the [redacted] of the month. However, I realized, too late, that it was due quarterly on the [redacted] of the month. There is a 60 day grace period on the payments. I sent one payment for both loans and I had to overnight it for $19.95, so the payment for the October [redacted] loan would get there by the [redacted] day. It arrived in New York at 11:30 AM on the [redacted] day. Voya didn't process the payment until the [redacted] day, and defaulted on it. I called several times. A few times I had extremely rude customer service. I was told different answers for the same questions. Several times the phone wasn't answered, or was I was disconnected, even though it was within the calling hours. They refused to honor my payment arriving to them on the [redacted] day. I had a tracking # to prove it. The only way they accept payments is through the mail. They don't accept online, phone or automatic payments. I was told to fax the tracking slip, which I did. I also mailed a copy of the tracking slip. I never received any response! No phone call, letter, email, etc. in regards to my letter and fax. I was told that I had 31 days to dispute, and I never received a response. They also have multiple mailing addresses, but our payments are sent to the New York post office box.Desired Settlement: I would like a letter from them acknowledging that they received my fax and letter disputing the default within 31 days. I was told they had to receive it by December [redacted], 2014. I faxed and mailed it on December [redacted], 2014. I would also like to know why my husband and I got so many different responses to our questions. For example, we were told, that the payments are processed according to the postal stamping. Another representative told us that was incorrect. I could go on and on. Terrible!

Review: I am a previous employee of [redacted]. During my time there I contributed roughly $88 to my 401k which was through Voya Financial. As of 09/**/2015 [redacted] transitioned from Voya Financial to [redacted]. Prior to this transition Voya sent a check to my original address in the mail back in April. I called 09/**/2015 to get this corrected as I was no longer at my old addresses and wanted it to be redistributed to my new address. However, I had to go through obstacles to make this happen. I called [redacted] as I was advised by Voya to update my address with them, I also sent Voya a notarized form Via mail to The [redacted] Plan Administration [redacted]: Voya Financial [redacted]. I called Voya today and unfortunately both numbers ###-###-#### and ###-###-#### do not work. I was forwarded to Merill Lynch ###-###-#### who confirmed my new address is on file but no documentation was transferred over to with the amount to redistribute the check. I was advised to get a hold of someone at Voya. Unforgettably I spoke with Voya's retirement department and multiple departments and no one can assist me. So this company kept my money that I contributed into my 401k account with them.Desired Settlement: I would simply like my check distributed to my new home asap. I would like a call from someone immediately to get this resolved.

Review: I put for a withdrawal from my retirement account. I was given the total amount of the withdrawal and it was placed on the website in my account. When the electronic funds deposited into my bank it was almost 1000.00 less. This amount was not reflected in changing the balance in the accounts. When speaking with the [redacted] in Des Moines he stated that an error was found and they could only withdraw 20% from one of my accounts, however, I told him that I did not see that on the website accounting and that I would like a record of it and the total balance to be reflected back in the transaction history. He was curt and did not give satisfactory information on how I could see the 1000.00 being re-deposited into my retirement funds as I wished and stated there would be a quarterly statement next quarter. There is no transparency and no one who handles complaints in their corporate office which I was told by the New York switchboard operator.Desired Settlement: Refund the money back to my retirement account.

Review: I was locked out of my online retirement account months and months ago for reasons unknown. I have called customer service over 50 times to have this resolved. Each time I have successfully answered all of the security question; however, I am still unable to access my account and the my hard earned money!!I have emailed, sent mail through postage requesting documents be mailed to me. I can not even get access to a monthly statement. I have sent mail with my ID, social security card, pleading for access to my online account or termination of the account. I find it unacceptable that despite my many calls, my account is still locked, and I have yet to receive a paper statement has requested.I need access to my account. It is unethical and unacceptable!!Desired Settlement: I want my account unlocked immediately, and all documents requested mailed to me !

Review: I am in receipt of unsolicited advertising from this organization; I have contacted them twice, including again today, and they have absolutely no interest or desire to assist me. Agents follow script, and when I go off script, they have no idea how to proceed. I WISH TO HAVE ANY AN ALL MAILINGS FROM THIS ORGANIZATION STOPPED IMMEDIATELY.Desired Settlement: I WISH TO HAVE ANY AN ALL MAILINGS FROM THIS ORGANIZATION STOPPED IMMEDIATELY. I wish to have no further contact with this organization as they do not provide products or services that suit my needs.
