Review: We hired Voyagers to make us a custom ring. We brought with us specific pictures of the ring we wanted them to recreate with the very first meeting. They said they could reproduce the exact ring. Several times during the process we said we wanted the exact ring we showed them, eachand everytime they assured us it would be. When I went in to look at the wax mold, I had reservations still about it. They said I wasn't able to see the etching on the side, that could only be done after the ring was casted. They assured me it would be what we wanted. The mounting was still not correct, they assured me it would be fixed. The ring was supposedto be in white gold, the owner told me an emeral wouldn't look good in white gold, we should do yellow. When I received the ring from my boyfriend, immediatley I was disappointed. It was yellow gold, the center stone was mounted crooked. The etching on the side looks like scratches and not leaves.Desired Settlement: The jewelry store offered to remake the ring, however, they have now saidthe "legally " they cannot reproduce the ring we want. They can come close, but can't copy it. I have since talked to three other jewelry stores that have said that is not true.

We spent ALOT of money for a product we were told we would recieve and did NOT get. This is my engagement ring, I am to have this the rest of my life. I am not happy with this ring. I am not happy that we were told we would have the ring we paid for and we do not.

After some thought and discussion with my staff here this afternoon,regarding the complaint you received from [redacted], I have decided to send you my detailed (lengthy) response.

#1 The customer for this order was [redacted]. He was the one that made the original inquiries, eventually placed the order, gave me instructions/decisions and paid for the ring.

He and I had several conversations and email communications both before he picked up the ring and after.Regarding pricing, etc. and ways to reduce costs, etc.And then later regarding

redoing the ring to copy the photo Hope had provided. I do not believe Hope saw or knew about any of these., although I don't know that for sure.

Hope was involved initially, in the design process. He and Hope originally came into the store May 4, 2013, to ask questions, go over ideas, discuss center stone options, etc.

On May 11th, I emailed Joerg with quote/quotes. He then did not contact us until 'to go ahead with the project'. They came into the store again on and went over design again.

We received a check for the deposit in the mail the following week. Then they came into the store again at the end of October to look at the layout/rendering and approve the center stone.

And a couple of times, when he gave us approval or instructions, he would say that he had received "official OK from Hope", etc. So, obviously, she was involved at their end.

But again, [redacted] made all the final decisions, gave us instructions and paid for the ring.

#2 The total price for this ring, including sales tax was: $4663.10 (not $6000). For which I can provide copies of store receipts for 3 payments.

#3 We would never, ever tell a customer what color metal or what color gold to use for their purchase. If they ask, we would be honest and say what we think would look best.

However, even among the staff here, there is no one correct answer. Some of us prefer Yellow gold and some prefer the white metals (white gold, platinum or palladium).

As far as, what is best for a green gemstone. Again that is personal. Right now, on display in the store, we have about equal numbers of green gems set into white gold and yellow gold
