Mr. [redacted] can assault my character all he wants in his response. However, his response does not address the reason for my complaint, which is bait-and-switch deceptive business practices. BAIT - I visited the business in question after seeing advertisements posted on the business's webpage and [redacted] page indicating that the business was offering a free 3-day trial. No restrictions were advertised. When I arrived at the business, the same advertisement was visible on business cards, again with no restrictions listed. SWITCH - When I inquired about the advertised free 3-day pass, I was told that the cost was $15 despite the fact that no advertisement described this cost, or suggested that the advertised Free 3-Day pass did not apply to certain customers. This is a classic bait-and-switch tactic that is illegal under Rhode Island law (Section 6-13.1-1). I do not accept the response made by the business to resolve my complaint. The business's use of illegal advertising tactics were not addressed in the response I received.

8/4/2016 In response to your false advertising claim which is totally misleading in nature as malicious as your presence in our club. This class of citizen came into the club and inquired to the front desk associate for a guest pass for a hotel guest. He was quoted correctly of $15 per...
day for 24 hrs. He explained that this why high compared to the normal rate of gyms around the area. He was cordially explained that was the day rate for hotel guest. He began trying to circumvent the front desk associate asking for a manager as to obtain a discount. He became rude and made the front desk associate very uneasy and afraid. When approached to hear his concern he was explained the day rate and wanted a discount. It was explained that is the rate and if you do not feel accommodated you can go somewhere else. He began asking about the free 3 day trial that was being offered on the website and online. It was cordially explained that this was offered to anyone who was interested in joining the club and clearly this was not his case. This is what transpired and this is a good experience in the totality of the circumstances to any business to not allow the people to circumvent policy offers and promotions with the threat of a bad review. This class of citizen is the type that looks for something for nothing. One absent of ethics, morals or principals. We will not allow abuse to our staff in any shape or form. A lesson to the hard working dilligent business. Its alright to say no. We are not a $5 club. It is apparent your standards and expectations of what prices should be are not a reality to everyone else.
