Per our conversation, please see my response below to the complaint #*** I issued toward ** *** *** I am rejecting this response because:We gave more than enough chances and time for Mr*** and his crew to correct their mistakesWe had them come to the house to look at the floors that we wanted replaced to give us a price quoteThey were well aware of what kind of floors they would be needing to discard and grindThey are supposed to be the experts and should be knowledgeable enough to know what is needed in order to take out, grind, and successfully complete the project, along with give an accurate quoteIt is not my fault as the customer that they did not account for everything that needed to be doneWe entrusted our house to Mr*** and his man crew to complete the projectMy spouse and I missed work many times in order to meet with them during their business hours to only find an empty house with no progressWe were nothing but accommodating to their needs and schedules** *** ***, as a professional business should treat their customers with the utmost respect. We paid a high price and we should not have to settle for anything less than high quality work as we were promisedOur kindness, generosity, and patience has been taken advantage of and we are now forced to pay for their mistakes and poor craftsmanship I have attached some photos that shows why we were dissatisfied with their work

This was by far the worst experience with a contractorWe hired this company to do our floors to modernize the house a bitSince it is concrete, we thought it would be easier to maintain and last longer than any other floorThis was a job that they said would take at the most days, and it turned into a two month projectTo top it off they didn't even finishWe decided we no longer wanted their services after we gave them more chances than I can count, to make the job look rightWhen we began working with them, they said they would begin their day at our home starting at 9:00am or 9:30am, at the latestIf and when they did show up, they wouldn't arrive until 11am, break for lunch at noon and then they would call it a day at 4pmI would take off work to meet with them in the morning, only for them not to show upI would leave work early at 4pm to catch them before they leave and they would not be thereSome days I got lucky and was able to speak with them to see their progres

Unfortunately Mrs [redacted]'s review tells only one side of the story. We thoroughly explained to her that we are not able to fill all the tack strip holes. We fill the ones that we can but if the holes are to shallow the concrete filler we use will not grip properly. This was thoroughly explained at...

the beginning of the job. After the stain and sealer were completed Mrs [redacted] told us that the color was "absolutely perfect" but she insisted that more of the tack strips be filled. We once again explained that they could not all be filled and we suggested they install shoe moulding to cover the ones that were along the wall. Mrs. [redacted] became very upset at that point and said that she was already over budget on the floor and she would not spend any more money on the moulding. At that point we said we would try to use a different product to see if it would match the floor. The picture you see above is the material we used and we left it to cure. We were not allowed to go back to the house to remove the excess material so the filler would be level with the floor. Again Mrs [redacted] wasn't happy so we agreed to install the shoe moulding for free (a $1600 value) once the invoice was paid in full. Mrs [redacted] responded at that point that she would not pay the invoice and she said "that we needed to install the moulding but we probably wouldn't even do that right" After that conversation we then requested that both her & Mr. [redacted] meet at the property together so that we could go thru the floor and fix all the areas WHILE THEY WERE THERE. All we kept getting back was "we are always working" when we finally did hear back they contacted us on Friday morning and asked if we could meet at 6PM Friday evening. The owner mentioned he was out of town but that the lead installer may be able to go. Apparently that was not good enough because Mrs. [redacted] said that he should just come get his stuff and not return to the house. As you can see we did everything we could to make this client happy to no avail. We even agreed to install shoe moulding for free once the final balance was paid but that was not good enough either. Mr & Mrs [redacted] seldom visited the site during our working hours. It wasn't until the end and it was time to pay the balance that all the issues came up.In regards to her remarks that we started late and left early that simply was not the case. When we did start later then normal it was because we were either A- letting the material cure per manufacturer recommendations or B- we were grabbing addl materials to complete the job. In regards to her saying the job took longer then we originally said she is correct. When we originally quoted the job it was supposed to be a simple matter of removing wood flooring grinding the floor and dropping the stain. As we removed the wood we found that was old adhesive or glue on the floor that needed to be removed. This resulted in us having to make several passes with our grinder to get the adhesive off so that we could prep for staining. Normally we charge .99 per sqft for the adhesive removal but again we did not charge the [redacted]'s. As a matter of fact Mrs [redacted] said take as long as you need we want the floor to come correctly and thats what we did.In regards to the foot print on the concrete none of our staff wear workbooks, all staff wear tennis shoes or special cleats made for walking on wet flooring. The [redacted]'s had numerous other people coming in and out of the house while we were there and we feel one of them walked on the floor as the sealer was drying, there was even one instance where Mrs [redacted] texted that there was a cat that ran through the house and she was concerned about cat prints.Again this is an unfortunate situation that we tried to do our best to resolve it with the [redacted]'s, we still have the shoe moulding in our truck ready to be installed. but we will not install it until all concerns on the floor have been addressed with both Mr & Mrs [redacted] present and our invoice is paid in full. From our position the ball is in their court, we would think that if this floor is so important then they should make time during normal business hours to meet there so that all concerns could be addressed. OUR OFFER STILL STANDS!Mrs [redacted] has begun a campaign trying to disparage our company across social media. We have forwarded these post to our attorney and we are asking for his approval to post the entire threads of text between them and us so the public can read and see for themselves how we made every effort to work with the [redacted]'s so they would be satisfied. Sent from my iPhone
