VSB Enterprises Inc. Reviews (8)

Just made my purchase a 1982 Volvo 240 here 5 month ago. This is not a first Classic car I bought. I have some experience. I did tons of researches, this place is extremely pleasant and professional. My good friend and his cousin both purchased 1993, 1995 ROVERS here, with great recommendations. Mike offered me a great deal, and before purchasing answered seriously dozens of follow up questions that I had. No buyers remorse here! (knock on wood!) but I would recommend ROVER CLASSIC to any friends or especially first time Classic and antic car buyers. By the way they made checkup and oil change on my Volvo yesterday for very reasonable price. Good job.

I bought a 1998 Discovery last December. Had a very pleasant experience with the whole crew. Minor issues that were found upon delivery ( the car is 16 years old) were fixed on the spot no questions or haggling. Overall - very professional team.

Review: Seller and I agreed on a purchase price of a 1989 Range Rover County. The price was $12,700 which also included shipping to Texas. I asked him to send me a bill of sale. He refused - he wanted me to send him a $500 deposit before he will send me the bill of sale. After I sent him the $500 deposit he provides me with a bill of sale that is HIGHER t[redacted] the amount we agreed to. I asked him to cancel my transaction and to refund me my deposit. He refused and is now keeping my $500. This all happened in 12 hours and he is unwillingly to give me my deposit.Desired Settlement: I want a refund of my $500

Response:

We did agree on 12000$ price for the car and 700$ for the delivery to TX. I have send [redacted] to my website to make the deposit if she chooses to purchase the car. There are terms of sale that [redacted] read and agreed to before making the deposit ( impossible to make the deposit with out agreeing to the TOS ). TOS state that there will be 149 doc fee added to the price of the car, as well as deposit is non-refundable. If [redacted] did not read the TOS why did she click agree ??? My TOS is on my site, and they can be read by the mediator.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Hi I have an email as well as a verbal agreement from Rover Classics as to the total out the door price of $12,700. I then asked for an invoice so I can send him payment. He REFUSED to send me an invoice unless I FIRST send him the deposit. Why would he NOT send me an invoice? He is hiding behind his "terms of service." Before sending him the $500 deposit I called him to confirm the $12,700 price - which he CONFIRMED on the phone. So I then sent him my deposit. He then sends me an invoice several hours later with a HIGHER price. I immediately told him this was not the price we agreed to and since HE CHANGED the terms of the sale I requested my deposit back. He refused. I have the email where I clearly write $12,700 out of door price.

[redacted] is lying again, His CC already took the money from me, He was already refunded. This is an email from [redacted] that came 2 days ago :"The dispute amount has now been debited from your [redacted] account because of the following reason(s): This chargeback type was not covered under Seller Protection." We are in the process of filing a small claim case in Richmond county.

Review: Purchased a Vehicle from Said company Online. Vehicle was grossly mis-represented. For example : Seller stated, Full Tune-up/New Power steering pump, etc. Vehicle was shipped with torn belts, failing/leaking power steering pump, worn engine mounts, grossly leaking oil everythwhere.Desired Settlement: Requesting $1,500 refund towards fixing mechanical issues, that were pre-exisiting, and I was lied to about before buying

Business

Response:

I did state that Full tune up was performed, tune up does not take care of engine mounts or steering pumps. It corresponds to Oils, filters, spark plugs and wires ( or any combination of the above ). Steering pump was replaced with a freshly rebuilt unit. As I stated in the email it is under warranty, so send me the old one and send prepaid label and I will have my local junk yard replace it under their warranty. Parts like that do come with 90 days parts warranty, labor is not included. This is the first time I hear anything about belts, and something tells me they are not torn.I never said anything about replacing engine mounts, it is a used car, buyer must be ready to replace parts as they wear out.

[Your Answer Here] Detailed pictures to follow, to Support Claim. The written Description , by seller was not a REMANUFACTURED POWER STEERING PUMP, IT SAID " NEW POWER STEERING PUMP " big difference. A reman, as in this case, admitted by seller, it was from a "JUNKYARD" , can be purchased for a few dollars, as they commonly fail, after just a few days, from dry rotted seals, and other defects. A new Pump is $468 , some new aftermarket, about $329 , plus labor. When the pump fails, it spews power steering fluid everywhere, and you can hardly perform a "FULL TUNE UP " , with a failing pump.... This INTERNET SELLER OF AUTOMOBILES, feels he has the right to steal from consumers, by simply adding the words " AS IS " TO HIS LISTING...HE IS WRONG, and the [redacted] in **, and ANY COURT OF LAW, will agree, you may not GROSSLY MIS-REPRESENT, your description, when selling a motor vehicle.....The power steering pump, is 1, of Multiple mechanical, and cosmetic issues, with said vehicle...I DO NOT WANT ANOTHER re-manufactured power steering pump, by the seller. I would like to be re-imbursed, for the new Power steering pump, I have purchased, and had installed, for a total, of $712 , parts and labor. The vehicle was described as " mechanics performed FULL MAINTENANCE, TUNE UP, NEW CALIPERS, NEW BRAKE PADS, NEW ABS PUMP, NEW POWER STEERING PUMP, NEW POWER STEERING BOX, NEW BRAKE HOSES. AND NEW VACUM HOSES. Being a 20 year car person, and range rover owner, One would expect, the key should be able to go in the ignition, that the cylinder would not be fully bent out of shape, and need to be fixed by a locksmith. One would expect that you can push the transmission lever into drive, and reverse, without a large thud. One would expect, the main belts, would not be squaking so loudly, from being grossly work, and almost shredded. One would not expect a failed "NEW POWER STEERING PUMP " SPEWING POWER STEERING FLUID EVERYWHERE, benath the vehicle, and all over the engine. One would not expect a vehicle that has has a full tune up, and maintenace performed , to be leaking oil, from every oriface, including the timing chain cover, and pan...HOW DO YOU DO A FRESH OIL CHANGE, IF ITS LEAKING EVERYWHERE, MIXED WITH POWER STEERING FLUID. ??? And yes, the vehicle shakes violently, from the engine mounts to be worn down to nothing....THE DESCRIPTION OF THIS VEHICLE, SHOULD HAVE SAID, NEEDS A LOT OF MECHANICAL ATTENTION, SUCH AS >>>>NOT FULL MAINTENANCE, AND TUNE UP WAS DONE, ETC, ETC....BY SAYING AS IS, DOESNT GIVE YOU THE RIGHT, TO WITHHOLD, TRUE INFORMATION, AND GROSLLY MIS-REPRESENT......SELLER SOLD A 2-3, 000 VEHICLE FOR $8,000 ...HAD THE NERVE TO TAKE A $500 DEPOSIT, AND NOT DEDUCT FROM PRICE....STILL HAS ONLY RETURNED $410, NOT $500.....My main motivation is that this seller doesn most of his business online. I dont want him to do this to someone else..Read his [redacted] reviews, I am not his only victim...

First Class, Criminal Organization. CHECK THEIR [redacted] REVIEWS, ROVER-CLASSIC. CHECK THEIR Revdex.com,.....Their isnt enough space here, for everything wrong with vehicle, a vehicle that should have been described as Needs Mechanical attention, and a cosmetic nightmare...YOU DIDNT REFUND THE WHOLE $500, BECAUSE YOU want people to forget about it, it took you 45 days to send a partial payment back, after I called and texted you for 3 days straight, when finally you responded with a half-[redacted], oh, I only have $410 in the account, not your response of < OH....it was $90, for faster shipping...nonsense...paid $1,349 to ship a vehicle worth no more then $3 grand, which I paid $8,000 for. A REBUILT PUMP, REBUILT TRANSMISSION, REBUILT ANYTHING, IS NOT SAME AS NEW...IF IT WAS THE SAME, THEN YOU SHOULD HAVE WROTE....REBUILT....EITHER WAY IT FAILED, AND I HAD TO PAY FOR A NEW ONE, PLUS LABOR, in addition, to the other 60 things wrong with vehicle...Othe sellers on [redacted], SHOULDNT GET RIPPED OFF FROM YOU, HENCE, WHY I wrote a negative feedback for you.....

Response:

I never want people to forget about deposit, it would cause problems with my accounting at the end, so it always go back, there was a trucker who was asking for a bit more, with your permission I paid him more, we do not charge for shipping, we merely collect and pass the same amount to the trucker. You knew that, and you have agreed to it. Truck was as described and if the driver wold not have caused the damage during the delivery you would have been happy with it. now you are trying to collect from me ... Revdex.com , this is not going to get anywhere, so just close the case.

Review: I purchased a used 1984 Jeep Wagoneer from Rover Classic via [redacted]. Mike, the sales person had told me that the Jeep was in great running condition, ran smooth and was ready to roll! When it was delivered to Oregon, I couldn't even drive it home because it kept dying. Had to have it towed to a repair shop, and the Transfer Case is out, there are engine valve issues, the carburetor is in need of repair, the belt is worn out, and there are a whole host of other small issues. I have called Mike at Rover Classic asking for just the $800 that will cover the new Transfer Case and he refused saying that his "mechanics" went through it and it runs great. The truck driver who delivered it will verify that the transfer case was out, the mechanic working on it has the old transfer case and is willing to testify as well. This vehicle was sold under false information and false advertising, as it is not in good running condition!Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund and want this car shipped back to the dealer. There is too much in need to make this vehicle run in smooth working condition as was stated by the dealer.

Response:

When the car was sold we did specify that it has problem with staying runing, it keeps dying and needs to warm up, cust knew that and told me he had few of these, and he knew exactly what the problem could be.There were no issues with transfer case, when cust called me and I asked him how he engaged it, I told him where the problem was, it was engaging it incorrectly, and I told him the procedure to engage it. But the truck was taken apart already, with out calling me and telling me that there were problems, cust had his shop take everything apart, and was going to send me parts and pieces of the truck, when I question his time line, I was told to go fk myself. I have 6 people who were standing next to me while I was on the phone with him.I dont know what truck driver can or will verify, Is he a mechanics ? My TOS are there and very clear, cust agreed to them prior to making a purchase, Pre sale inspection is welcome, if refused the truck is sold as is where is. No refunds or discounts of any kind. MY TOS can be seen in any listing under a deposit button.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:hjnWhen speaking to Mike about the vehicle, he mentioned that his team of mechanics had gone through the entire vehicle and that everything was operating and running great. He failed to mention that the vehicle has problems staying running as he indicates. I have never owned a Jeep Wagoneer or another Jeep in the past and certainly did not tell him that I knew exactly what the issue was. When I picked up the vehicle prior to even driving it (truck driver Tim can verify this), I noticed that it was in 4 wheel drive. Not wanting to drive it down the road in 4WD, I shifted to park and tried to put the Jeep in 2WD. In 2WD the vehicle did not move and I could hear the transfer case spinning without engaging the drive shaft. So I shifted back to 4WD and tried to drive home. On the way home the vehicle stalled and wouldn’t start again. I had the vehicle towed to a mechanic that specializes in working on older Jeeps. This was not my shop or a shop I have ever used in the past, just a shop that specializes in older Jeeps. This shop verified that the motor does not need to be turned off to disengage 4WD but only has to be stopped. (Here is information and Jeep Owner’s manual to confirm that the engine does not need to be off as Mike claimed.)

[redacted]Once the vehicle was towed to the Mechanic and the mechanic had an issue to look at the transfer case he confirmed that the linkage coupler had been destroyed and it was destroyed because the front axle gear ratio is different that the rear axle gear ratio. After looking at things closer the rear axle has been replaced at some point in time (not replaced by me) and it is a non-Jeep rear axle most likely something by GM and the ratio of gears is different putting strain on the transfer case and resulting in a destroyed linkage coupler. This also was never indicated by Mike but it’s obviousas soon as you look at the two axles. The mechanic also looked into the engine issues which go beyond just a carburetor problem. When you hold your hand up to the muffler your hand is actually sucked up to the muffler which means air is being sucked up backwards into the engine. This is an indicator of a valve issue at the cylinder or a cam shaft issue. Both of these problems can’t be fully diagnosed until pull the engine out of the Jeep and tear apart the engine. At this point I have not done anything else as I am waiting on resolution to these issues and how Mike and Rover Classics. I understand the TOS however, Mike and Rover Classics were dishonest prior to purchase and still are dishonest in their description on how things unfolded. I am not a Mechanic, I have never owned a Jeep in my life, and I never told anyone to F[redacted] themselves as he indicated.Thank you for your resolution in this manner.Jordan Burch###-###-####

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Actually I am not lying. Since my last message [redacted] has indeed reimbursed the two separate payments of $500 a piece. However, it was not due to Rover Classics initiating this reimbursement. I had to file a complain with [redacted] who took their time going through the complete story and then made the decision to rule in my favor and reimburse me the money that Rover Classics had not yet initiated. I have attached both cases from [redacted] with clearly state that they ruled in my favor. Once again, I paid Rover Classics on [redacted] on September [redacted]. They were supposed to reimburse me for those two $500 when I wired the full amount of the transaction which was $9200. I wired the $9200 on September [redacted] and I was not reimbursed until November [redacted].Since my last post, I have paid a mechanic to replace the transfer case (damaged due to the axles being different ratios), replaced the mismatchedaxles, took the top off the engine and replaced the bad valve, and also put fuel injection on the jeep (not Rover Classic's issue but the carburetor was way out of adjustment).I don't expect anyone to trust me but do your own research on Rover Classics which I should of done and make your own decision. Thanks in advance for your time.[redacted]

Response:

Refunds were done by us, not by [redacted], [redacted] review does nothing because these were car deposits, they kicked it back to us to decide and off-course we refunded because we owned that to the customer. I have no further comments on this completed deal.

Review: "Brief" version:

I purchased a 1991 Trooper from Rover [redacted] off [redacted] was told to wire payment directly to seller not thru [redacted].( first mistake ).As per the description of the Trooper in the [redacted],all descriptions of the repairs made were fraudulent,.([redacted] has been contacted) The Trooper was deliver one month later after the sellers request for another 300 dollars( which I wired for added shipping costs as he could not find a carrier to ship the Topper at our original agreed cost)or storage fees would be applied at 20 dollars a day.

The Trooper was pushed off the transporter rig as it did not start, 1600 dollars has been spent to date, replacing ,battery, alternator, oil cooler lines,(tune up) injectors, spark plugs, belt tensioner, differential fluids, transmission and transfer case ,black motor oil and filter...shocks ( as per Roverclassics advertisement in the add this was all replaced and extensive work preformed by their mechanics..."fraudulent"..add stated original paint (pictures were taken of a wet unit ,making believe the unit was shiny and bright not faded past the clear coat)no rust..."fraudulent again" 3 different shades of white and the front window frame had been rusted (leaked) and covered over in bondo and ALMOND paint., did not disclose the photos of those damages in the add.

At is point to recover repair bills of 1600.00 would be compensation..to the fraudulent [redacted] seller/Roverclassic description for mechanical fraudulent description of work alleged preformed( noting all parts replaced are kept as evidence,) The cosmetic description fraudulent description at this time I have not sought out a repair estimate to remove the rust and replace the window frame,

If anyone or myself, had physically inspected the unit on location they would have verified the fraudulent advertising and never would have paid $5,000.00,

I have attempted to have this resolved as gentlemen thru documented emails via [redacted] and no response to a refund has been returned,Desired Settlement: I desire to have the loss recovered

Response:

[redacted] contacted us after his brother performed some repairs to the truck, [redacted] was and I believe still overseas and have not seen the truck in person ( at least this is the story that he gave me through [redacted] ) . He story did change 3 times, so I do not know what to believe. I have never asked for extra 300$ , Driver asked for the extra money, and if [redacted] did not want to pay, he was free to find another driver, He agreed to pay to the driver, not to me. Battery was the only thing that was low on the truck, it could have been charged or replaced 75 $. Everything else is complete bull, there were no issues with alternator, shocks, cooler lines and the rest of the stuff that you have listed. I( I dont even want to spend my time rewriting it ) I have never said the truck was not touched up, It was touched up by the previous owner, in number of places. It does look like the color was never changed, and it was and still is OEM white. [redacted] as per my TOS you were welcome to perform an inspection prior to the purchase, you refused. [redacted] also purchased sticker from my [redacted] listing and even prior to getting the decals left me a negative feedback. This just shows that decals were purchased just as means of leaving negative feedback. at this time there is a motion in the Richmond county court against this joker, He will be getting personally served sometime in November. There will be no refund of any kind, there is no point of going back and forth . file a counter motion in court.

Review: Purchased a used car from VSB Enterprises. The car was listed with "no evidence of electrical problems"; however, the car's alternator was non-functional from the very first start as evidenced by the gauge on the dash. The car had to be jump-started in order to run. The only reason it ran as long as it did is because the battery had charged somewhat while getting the car started. Also, the car was listed as having "performed a brake job". The brakes had to be replaced due to excessive wear on the rotors. When I contacted the seller about these issues that were blantant misrepresentation of the car, the response was vulgar, belligerent language and very rude, threatening rhetoric--all done by email.Desired Settlement: I would like for the seller to offer to reimburse the cost of some or all of the replaced parts. Alternator was $238; brakes were $233. I don't expect labor reimbursement, as this falls outside of seller's responsibility.

I've purchased a 1995 Range Rover LWB form Rover Classic about 7 months ago. My story is very short. I was browsing net for a specific 1995 LWB with low miles and air suspension. Found one on roverclassic.com website. Call them up. Spoke with Mike. All I can say is that, Mike is very knowledgeable, kind and straight to the point salesperson. It was no games, no usual "used car dealer **". We agreed on the price and delivery options. My Rover was delivered on time, fully detailed and 100% as described.

I did have a few minor things to fix, but it is a 1995!!! vehicle and it's RANGE ROVER. :)

Still driving it and enjoying it every day.

Would most definitely recommend this guys to all my fellows-Range Rover fans.

THANK YOU, ROVER CLASSIC!![redacted]
