VSI HD Media Services

Review: I currently contract and do freelance transcription for VSI HD Media Services and have become apalled at their unprofessional practices in regards to their contractors. I have had a hard time since I began freelance transcription for their company in August of 2013. Upon beginning and sending my invoice there was a verbal and written agreement that invoices were paid Net 30. When the invoice did not arrive in Net 30 it was explained to me that they have a 15 day self-imposed grace period after the net 30 to send their checks and check can only be sent on certain days of the week thus my payment arrived AFTER 40 days from the date of the invoice. After some complaining on my end as the contractor VSI wanted to take a break from giving me work until the owner's mood changed and I was allowed to freelance for them again. Wanting money even though better late than never I continued to freelance for them relatively problem free for a few months though payment was usually a day or 2 after the 30 day mark, at least not 40. Around the holiday season a small check they had sent got lost in the mail. I was told by the accounts payable person that she did not have time for me, said she would not fight, nothing could be done unless I could prove it lost and she would make sure I got paid another invoice. She screamed at me for several minutes saying she was at her wit's end trying to pay people. It was the most unprofessional conversation in my life. Not learning my lesson yet I continued to freelance. Most recently in the past week on Monday the 17th it was the 30 day mark for my invoice. I always write to confirm my payday and I received a response from accounts payable that because some of their clients hadn't paid them on time they could not pay me on time. THe owner wrote to me and confirmed this was true. I had to wait until Friday. I suggested I not work until receipt of that invoice and upon inquiry to work again found out that I am again a quietly suspended contractor.Desired Settlement: I would like to be paid all my pending invoices in a timely manner and I would like to not be cold shouldered for demanding that my paychecks be paid on time. I would like this information be made public on Revdex.com to all future freelancers for this company. I do not like that when payment is due I have to wake up and wonder if it will happen and be treated as if I do no have bills. I believe all my invoice payments should be rendered and that I can not be silently punished for wanting payment.
