before any work is scheduled. He paid a deposit of $2000. However, he has made one attempt of a payment of $150 since. In the process of collecting the debt of the remaining $15,957.79, he wanted to make monthly payments of $150. This would be 107 monthly payments (almost 9 years of payments). We provided him 3 months to pay off the amount or a lien would be processed for the work performed. If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me. Please see his attached response via email to our accounting department: ____________From: [redacted] [[redacted]] Sent: Sunday, October 18, 2015 10:33 AM To: [redacted] Subject: Regarding our phone conversations on Oct 16, 2015 I have spoken with my attorney, and talked to my financial institution in order to address your offer which you made over the phone. First, my attorney asked me to specify that your actions amount to violation of the Consumer Protection Act and amount to Fraud In The Inducement by trying to change the payment terms. That said, you have made an offer.  I have evaluated your offer, and have looked into my options to see what I can do to try to meet your wish to have money in the next 90 days instead of the monthly payment terms that I am currently making. First, the agreement that was made for the work to be done was that the total price of $1,3016.79 was to be paid in a $2000 initial payment, followed by $150 monthly payments.  This was based on what I could afford to pay on a monthly basis.   Based on that, for a $150 monthly payment, I can finance $6,200.00, so that is what I’m offering to pay you within 90 days if you still wish to change the payment terms of the contract. This payment would be made by credit card (because my credit card has a lower interest rate than the personal loans I could get, thus allowing me to finance the highest amount possible to pay you), and any credit card transaction fees you would have to cover.  This will give you a lump sum payment now (after agreements are signed) instead of the continuing monthly payments, and will keep my monthly payments at the amount that I can afford.  [redacted]_______________Warmest Regards,[redacted]

We called because half our house electricity went out and we thought it was because of the electrical panel. The panel was replaced and the people from start to finish was was the BEST! Great people working for VTI Electric! Couldn't be happier because be know it had to be replaced sooner than later. It didn't fix the problem with the half the house being with out electricity and they gave us a great price on the panel, we couldn't afford much, but it didn't fix the house problem.
They need access to all the plugs in that line where the electricity is out but we are remodeling and access to the plugs is impossible because we have boxes stacked everywhere. So we don't blame them for the half that isn't working. After calling and contacting other business's I know we got a very good and fair price. We are very pleased! We would call them again and recommend them highly.

Review: I contracted VTI to replace an electrical panel, at an agreed upon price, payable when the work was complete.

In the process of completing that work, I was informed that the wiring was unsafe, they would not warranty any of their work, and the house may burn down when they turn the breaker panel back on. They gave me 1 day to figure out what I could afford to pay for them to do the rewire, since they knew I had only budgeted for the panel replacement. I told them what I could afford. They agreed, and did the house rewire. Now, months later, the main office is calling demanding payment in full. I have shared with them that I am talking to an attorney. I have made an offer of what I could afford to finance at my current monthly payments that were agreed to initially. Their response is that they are going to put a lien on the house until I pay the amount in full.Desired Settlement: I expect them to remove any lien they have put on my property and to correct any damage they have caused to my credit rating. I also expect them to either honor the original payment terms or to accept my offer for suddenly having to finance a payment to them for a lump sum, which is an amount less than the original agreement due to financing rates.

Revdex.com,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. After further discussion with the business, it was realized that the agreed upon financial terms of $2000 down and $150 per month was an agreement made by the job coordinator without the company owner or accountant's awareness. This put the company and I at odds over what the terms really were. I have made 2 payments plus the deposit, and we have agreed on new payment terms to resolve this issue. I have made the first of those payments. In short, I still disagree with what the terms were, but I do believe that we have reached a new agreement that, while not ideal for either side, is amicable and is a reasonable middle ground. I thank [redacted] for his willingness to work with me on this to reach such resolution.I also believe that this situation would not have been a situation had it not been for the former employee who made the financial terms agreement with us. I would say that, due to a bad employee, both parties were harmed.

Regards,

I was the main point of contact for an electrical panel upgrade/replacement to code for a client. The electrician's manager, Scott A[redacted] was extremely unprofessional the few times I called his cell for status updates. An example of his demeanor - "What do you want?" was said to me during one of my follow-up calls.
The panel work was done 6/22. The inspection wasn't done until 7/7 because it was never called in as we were told countless times by VTI. After research on my part with State L&I and City of Tukwila, it was determined the wrong permit was obtained (State rather than City) by VTI. AND, the inspection failed when finally conducted.
We were told by VTI's construction manager that the necessary repair would be completed immediately with the final inspection scheduled. I just verified with City of Tukwila that an inspection call wasn't received on their end until yesterday. The inspector will be at the property today. It has been more than a month since the initial electrical panel work was done and we are still not through this process with VTI.
City of Tukwila honors inspection requests within 24hrs. We had been given false information from the start by the electrician's manager as well as the company's construction manager. VTI was paid cash.
I would never recommend this company to anyone.
