Our Air duct was very dusted and so an atmosphere of a home was very unhealthy. We have cleaned our air duct with technicians of WG. Guys were very supportive and they completed work successfully. Thanks a lot WG

WG Speek did a great job at my house with a new AC installation. The guys were very professional. I cannot say enough about this experience with them.

Came home yesterday to find an issue with one of our central air units. Called Speeks early Monday morning and by 11 am Howard their tech was at our door. Have worked with numerous repair folks over the years from all industries. Howard was without a doubt the best, most professional, most thorough, most engaging one I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Not only is the Speeks organization overall a superior one but Howard specifically is a stellar technician. By noon our system was running as it should be, on this the hottest day of the year so far.
Would recommend Speeks to any and all

BEST pricing and warranty!!!, Fast service even in mid summer. Purchased complete systems for TWO houses. Couldn't be happier with the knowledge and customer service. HIGHLY recommend.

W.G. Speeks was the original company that installed my AC unit5 years ago. I called them at 4:30 pm on a Wednesday because my AC unit stopped working properly. The tech was at my house before 6pm on the same day. Sean was great. He was very informative about how my unit worked and why it wasn't working. My issue was covered under warranty (thank goodness) and the repair was completed and my AC back running properly within 45 minutes. I was thoroughly impressed with the professionalism, speed and customer service related to my experience. Regardless of cost, I will continue to use and recommend W.G. Speeks.

Review: Contracted for new gas furnace. Furnace installed early May. Manufacturers registration card, owner's manual, etc. were not left with unit. Materials requested; sent Xerox copy of manual and registration which had been registered with vendor without my knowledge/authorization (note, copy appeared to be altered). Spoke with salesman ([redacted]). Told he registered unit so as to ensure warranty would be in place and that the manufacturer no longer sends printed manuals. Learned after contacting the manufacturer that the furnace as well as a AC unit were registered. When [redacted] was confronted about the registration he claimed to not know anything about this (although he informed me previously that he registered the furnace) and even alluded that they (Speeks) had previously installed an AC in my home (not true). Also, asked once again for the materials that are packaged with the new unit. Stated he would look into the registration matter and also send manual. Received call from Casandra who stated "she" had submitted the registration and when error was realized she immediately corrected (altered registration sent to me not corrected copy). Casandra also ensured me she could "put her hands on the manual" and would send to me -- to date manual (and other package materials) has not been received nor has corrected registration.Desired Settlement: Since Speeks is not able to provide the manufacturer's materials that are packed with a new product; i.e. owner's manual, warranty certificate, registration card, etc., a billing adjustment is requested. An itemized invoice reflecting new furnace cost, installation cost and miscellaneous costs minus the diagnostic/service charge; statement on invoice noting AC was not purchased/this does not in any way impact the warranty on the furnace as well as corrected registration also requested.

On May 5, 2015 W. G. Speeks, Inc. installed a new furnace at the customer's home. On May 15, 2015 W. G. Speeks registered the gas furnace with [redacted] so that the customer would receive the full 10 year parts warranty. If the product is not registered with [redacted] within 90 days the customer would only receive a 5 year warranty. On May 28, 2015 we realized that an air conditioning unit had also been added to the customer's product registration by mistake. The mistake was corrected that day. The customer was called that day and made aware of the mistake and told that it had been corrected. On July 8, 2015 the attached letter was sent to the customer along with along with the owner's manual. Also attached are the product registrations relating to this complaint along with a aged trial balance of the customer's account. On August 4, 2015 a second owner's manual was mailed to the customer's residence.

I would highly recommend this company for your heating and a/c needs. We replaced our unit about 2 years ago and they offer a maintenance warranty that we took out for ten years from the purchase date. My A/C went out today and it wasn't reported until 5:30 pm and a message was left with their answering service. I recieved a call back from a technician within 30 minutes. He told me up from the hourly rate for after hours. Since we had the warranty he said there would be no extra charge. He was at my home within the hour and had it fixed in less than an hour. Signed, a very happy customer!

My family has used W.G. Speeks for many years, and not necessarily because we choose too, but they are much more affordable than some bigger names around [redacted]. The service and people are great (excellent customer service). However, one big thing that is never...never mentioned or told to you as a customer, is that the cost for a service call (service charge) is $95...for only the first 30 minutes!!! This is pretty big considering a technician may have to wait around and call the office, or another tech, or wait for a humidifier to drain...all of which eats up time, and you are paying for it! Half of the things that I've experienced, I would have said "leave because I'm not paying for this non productive time". Again, they need to make sure each customer is fully aware of this, or put it on their website.

Review: I am a retired senior citizen caring for my husband who has advancing Parkinsons Disease. We never go into our crawlspace due to health issues. Earlier this year I purchased a new Carrier Heat Pump system from W.G. Speeks. They had neglected to replace the 40 year-old Freon line from my previous Central Air Conditioner and attempted to reuse it. Within twenty-four hours of the initial installation there was very loud explosion in my crawlspace. This resulted in a total system failure that required a complete line replacement and the replacement of the brand new Carrier Air Handler located inside my home. They showed me the pipe that had failed, it was a fractured metal line that had literally blow apart during the explosion and was found lying on the opposite side of the crawlspace from where it was originally. It should be noted that I have a small crawlspace less than 400 square feet and the plumbing drain to my kitchen sink is located directly above the damaged Freon line. I forgave the error and tried to enjoy my new system.Several months later a foul odor began to grow in my kitchen above the crawlspace. After several days, my husband and I are unable to go under the house so my son came over and investigated the odor. He found a disconnected plumbing line that had allowed all the water from the kitchen sink, garbage disposal and dishwasher to flood directly under my house. We called a trusted plumber that I had used before and they made an immediate visit. Their man told me us that the sink drain line had been disconnected and set aside. I paid them $577.00 dollars to repair the plumbing.I also called W.G. Speeks to tell them what was happening on. They sent one of the original installers to my home. He denied disconnecting the plumbing or even that the explosion could have damaged the pipe. But now I had an even larger problem due to excessive mold growth during the months of unknown water damage. I received an estimate for almost $4000 to correct the problem. After speaking with several companies I decided to use a smaller company that agreed to abate the mold and repair the damages for $1000.00.We spoke with [redacted] the Vice President of the company he was very reluctant to talk about the problem. I then sent them a letter asking for a refund to cover the cost of the repairs. We next received a phone call from their insurance company. The agent was very cold and said he would get back to us and he never did. We have endured a foul odor that is still waning but all I ask is the payment of the repairs for the damages.I wouldnt recommend this company, although we all make mistakes, they do not accept responsibility for theirs or even care to try to correct them.Desired Settlement: I spent $577 for the plumber and $1000 with [redacted]. All I ask is a refund of what I spent to correct their error, $1,577.00.

Dear **.[redacted]:

W.G. Speeks, Inc. was contracted to replace the heat pump system at the address in the above mentioned case. The new system was installed on March 18, 2013. On March 20 a service call was performed and it was determined that the indoor coil was leaking due to a bad expansion valve. On March 21 a new indoor unit was installed to replace the unit with the leaking coil.

On June 24,2013 the homeowner called in to report water in the crawl space. On that same day, the mechanic who had installed the system went to the home to determine the source of the water. When we arrived a plumbing company was there. The plumber informed our employee that the drain to the kitchen sink had rusted and the joint holding it together had come off. He also reported that he removed a 5 gallon bucket of grease that had been put into the drain line.

Sometime around the first week of July the homeowner's son contacted me personally. This was the first time I was aware of their issue with water in the crawl space. He informed me that he felt like we were responsible for the kitchen drain. I told him I would speak with the mechanic's involved and see what I could find out. A few days later the son called back. I told him from what I was able to find out there was no evidence we were responsible for the kitchen drain coming apart. I ask at that time if he could send a copy of the plumber's service ticket so that I could investigate further. Our employees are certain that they didn't disconnect or do anything that would have caused the drain to come disconnected.

On July 15,2013 we received a letter with the homeowner's signature demanding payment in 10 business days. It was at that time that we turned the matter over to our Insurance Company, [redacted]. We have always taken responsibility for our mistakes, however in this case we do not feel that we were at fault. I called the homeowner and notified her that we had turned this matter over to the insurance company. As I understand it they are still investigating the situation.

Sincerely,

Our heat was not working on one of the coolest nights of the year this past February. Speeks came and did the repair; the job took about 3 hours total. The problem was that the bill was $1875, which Speeks refused to itemize for us, even after repeated phone calls to their office. They would not tell us the cost of the part or the cost of the labor. As a result, we feel ripped off, especially because the bill was so high.

Review: Let me first say that I have dealt with the company in the past with no issues. I called them because my AC wasn't working on May 2, 2012 at which time they came and serviced my home with no issues. My issue arose from a service call made to them on July 2, 2013. I called them because the air was not working at my rental property in [redacted] The technician arrived at the home and I received a call detailing what the problem was. I assumed at the time that I was talking to the technician, however in hindsight it may have been someone from the office relaying the information. I was told that the coils were dirty and the system was low on refrigerant. This is where the issue arose. I then asked the employee, "how does the refrigerant just disappear, it has to be a leak or something right?" The employee just responded "yes, we are checking it out now". He then asked if I wanted it fixed and was told it would cost about $300 or so. I responded in the affirmative and said, "it has to be fixed". I received a call from the tenant and was told that the air was working fine. Three days later I received a bill and thought the problem was solved. I got a call on July 2, 2013 from the tenant complaining about the same issue. I called W.G. Speeks to have the issue addressed and spoke with "[redacted]". She was very pleasant and after explaining the issue to her she transferred me to who I thought was the manager. I then was greeted by "[redacted]" who was not very pleasant at all. [redacted] was rude and proceeded to tell me that the technician will come out and make the repair but I would have to pay another $300 for the leak pressure test and additional refrigerant. I then explained to "[redacted]" that I paid $300 for the initial repair and specifically asked about a possible leak. I asked for an explanation as to why it wasn't done the first time. After numerous attempts of avoiding that question, he rudely hung up on me. I then called back and asked to speak with a manager with no luck.Desired Settlement: Since the manager or no other representative returned my call, I hired another company to come diagnose the problem. The technician informed me that it was an "obvious" leak. It was further stated that anyone who would put refrigerant in that system is just stealing money. Because of this poor diagnosis and failure to properly repair the system initially, I think a refund for the service call and wasted refrigerant would be fair. No refund is necessary for cleaning the coils. Refund $220

Response:

Dear [redacted],

W.G. Speeks preformed a service call at [redacted], reference Service invoice [redacted]9 on July 2, 2013 for a no a/c call. Upon arrival the technician determined that the unit was low on refrigerant and that the outdoor coil was dirty. The owner of the property was notified by W.G. Speeks of the problem as well as the tenant. W.G. Speeks was told to make the repairs to fix the a/c. The owner of the property called back to say the a/c was not working approximately 3 days after the first service call on July 2,2013. [redacted] explained to the owner that the unit may need to be leaked checked and that there would not be another service charge, but only the cost to preform the leak check.

The price to perform a leak check would have been the same as if it were done on July 2, 2013 at the time of the first service call. Please see [redacted], signed by the tenant, that they did not want a leak check at the time. W.G. Speeks performed the service that the property owner ordered.

W.G. Speeks, in good faith, will offer the owner a refund of [redacted] for the refrigerant. We will not refund the [redacted] diagnostic fee as this would still be charged due to the dirty coil issue.

Please do not hesitate to contact us at [redacted] if you have any further questions or concerns regarding this matter.

Sincerely,

W.G. Speeks, Inc.
