advertise one price and term for evening rates for ski resort which were not honored when got to resort. Website and school group sales advertise rates for evening lift pass which are supposed to start at 4p and discounts for having season pass which are supposed to apply all season. When [redacted] got to mountain, given different brochure and told evenings don't start until 6p and no discount for having season pass honored during peak season. Went home and website still had evenings start at 4p and discounts for passes bought by holder of season passes. Doesn't seem fair business practice to 1) sell school group passes advertising one set of terms and then changing them 2) having website with different information than what is honored once you get all the way there. I have copies of website & brochure showing advertised price.Desired SettlementAt a minimum, refund of cost for passes for 2 times had to pay full price lift tickets when should have been had [redacted] discount and evening prices applied.Business Response I don't quite understand what happened. The [redacted] I'm assuming it's the [redacted] as they have the same [redacted], has a Bronze season which entitles him to a [redacted] discount off his lift tickets when his pass is not valid. That benefit is for him only.A Bronze pass is valid every night of the season so maybe he was trying to apply this to his [redacted] ticket?As a pass holder he can share these benefits: We do offer skiing services at a discount rate to students and guests who come as part of their school group. The coordinator of the group is the only one who can request a student program discount item. Was he here as part of the school program?Regarding the 4PM start and the 6PM start. We offer over the counter night tickets for the 4-10pm session as well as the 6-10pm session. If they arrived at, say at 5:00, and asked for the 6-10PM ticket they would have been told that that ticket wasn't valid until 6PM. They would have had the option of waiting or purchasing the 4-10pm ticket.We offer a lot of different services to a lot of different groups and the information can be confusing. If they have any more information regarding what they paid, what they wanted, where they purchased their tickets etc if would be helpful.[redacted]Wachusett MountainConsumer Response The response was not satisfactory. My [redacted] was at the mountain at 4p and was told that the "evening rates" didn't start until 6p. On a separate day, I asked the desk the same question and was told that as of November, they had changed their policy to have evenings start at 6p and I have a copy of the new brochure they gave me. This conflicts not only with the information on their website but also the student package brochure we received when we purchased his season ticket. Final Business Response At the Customer service desk we offer full night evening rates that start at 4 and half night evening rates that start at 6.Group Sales offers a different set of student discounts.I do not know who they talked to or what brochure they are referring to.Again - I am willing to process a refund if they can provide me with their lift ticket, or last 4 of their credit card used that night 0r receipt.All in all I believe that are confusing full vs half night tickets and tickets offered at Customer Service vs Group Sales.[redacted]Wachusett Mountain
