To whom it may concern:We are very sorry for ***'s most experience at Wag-On-InnThe staff at Wag-On-Inn are highly trained to handle our off-leash play environment but there is always a risk when dogs play off leashWe want to note that we did call Mr*** and inform him that ***
needed to go the vet around 10:am on Friday the 23rdWe were told Mr*** was unable to come get *** due to conflicts with work*** was picked up at 3:pmSince Mr*** was unable to come get her we had to treat the wound appropriately until he could arriveWe would like to note that during this time that *** was in a great state of mind and being very well taken care ofWhen Mr*** came to pick up ***, he was told we were still reviewing cameras to see who the offending dog wasMr*** was informed by the manager to email the bill to Jessica S***, the owner, so we would have it on hand when we found the offending dogIt is our policy that the offending dog pay the bill for the injuries sustained and we also do not allow the offending dog to return to Wag-On-InnFurthermore, Mr *** did sign a waiver when he entered his dog into dog daycare stating that, "Owner (Mr***), acknowledges and agrees that they are assuming all risk of illness, diseases, harm or otherwise to their pet by allowing their pet to stay at Wag-On-Inn." We spent approximately hours or more watching the tapes but were only able to find play behaviorsWe believe that the injury *** sustained was due to rough play and not an attack*** showed no signs of fear towards any of the dogs and wanted to continue to play after the incidentMr*** did not contact us until Monday the 26thHe still had not emailed us a receipt of the billWe requested that he email us a receiptWe told Mr*** that we would pay 50% of the bill as a gesture of good willHe would not accept those terms nor would he email us a billOn Thursday the 29th Jessica S*** called Mr*** to check on *** and to discuss the issues with himHe informed the owner, Jessica S***, at this time that the manager told him that we would pay the entire billWe reiterated that the manager had not said that we would pay but that our policy is that the offending dog payAt this time we still had found nothing but play behavior when we watched our camerasSince there was a misunderstanding we tried to work with him further by offering to pay 75% of the billHe still would not accept those terms but he did send us a bill on Thursday the 29thOn the bill there was a charge of $for an ear infection which did not pertain to the other veterinary treatmentWe did refund 75% of the veterinary bill to Mr*** on 10/3/We feel that we have handled the matter in the best way possible way and have had open and frequent communication with Mr*** during this entire incidentSincerely,Jessica S*Owner
