*** ***This is a response to the complaint issued by *** *** concerning the purchase of a Hyundai Elantra from Sport HondaMuch of what *** *** stated is correct, but ultimately the third party financial institution turned down financing for the vehicle after an interview with *** ***
As the dealership we received approval for her loan, but as with many financial institutions who provide loans, there was an interview with *** *** following delivery of the vehicleDuring this interview she told the financial institution that she would be using the vehicle for *** and they immediately declined financing for the dealBelow is the response from *** ***, credit manager for ** *** "We were having issues proving the income as stated so we called you guys for help on the 18th. We were told by someone at your dealership the applicant received a promotion on that day. *** *** then called our funding department to tell us there was a miscommunication with her employer because it does not show in their system yet but she was working part time but will now be working full time. During that conversation with our funding department ** *** told us she will be using the unit for *** but can not prove any of that income either. At this point the deal was declined and returned because per policy we cannot finance a known *** or *** driver. We can only finance applicants that use the unit for personal use."Gene R***Credit Manager | Philadelphia *** ***
Unfortunately, *** *** can no longer obtain financing so we have asked her to return the vehicle and we will return her trato herShe has been unresponsive to this requestWe have also offered to bring her traback to her so that we can pick up our vehicle. This is in response to complaint from *** ***I have attached the document that was used when Ms*** was hereAs you can see on the worksheet, she signed the side of the worksheet saying "would buy today for $15,and her trade"The wording obviously means that this is what Ms***
would buy the truck for and this is her initial offerThere is no signature from the manager saying that we accept such an offerMs*** then had to leave to address a family issue so there was no more negotiationAt no point had the trade been appraised, and this was just a place holder in the negotiation to start up again when she returnedUnfortunately, we could not agree on the value of the trade so there was no deal that could be finalizedAt no point was there an agreement made in writing or otherwise, the notes on the side of a worksheet was just a starting point for negotiations since her trade appraisal had not been discussedWe would be happy to sell her the vehicle still, but we cannot do it on the terms that she has offered. Ms. [redacted], I assure you that we have fully investigated your complaint in a completely unbiased manner and have taken the necessary steps with our sales staff to ensure that all customers fully understand what it is they are signing so that there is no miscommunication in the future between our staff and our customers. We discussed these matters in our sales meeting and have spoken to the individual salesperson multiple times to make sure that our communication is clear and transparent. This is all a scam and lies being told to now take the vehicle they said I was approved for originally.  They had me come back a Second time and everything just to sell this car to me. I am NOT a driver for [redacted] at all. I work daily for [redacted]  Mr. G[redacted] even called me and asked me what [redacted] was and I told him the comapany was a security company. I am rejecting this response because: I do acknowledge and appreciate the manager's investigation, but it was not unbiased. Instead it was made in defense of the actions taken. There is no acknowledgememt of the error made and steps taken to correct and prevent the same error in the future.  Please understand I really do understand the manager is busy and I appreciate how valuable his time is and I would be happy to assist the management team in creating a plan to avoid the same error in the future but I do not feel my complaint/problem has been corrected. Thank you for your time.
