To Whom It May concern:Take in mind we stock over vehicles for sale at one timeDue to insurance requirements we are only suppose to allow a test drive with a A Bright Auto representative present inside the vehicle during test driveDue to the large volume of customers that we try to serve
at one time,it is near impossible to go on every test drive with our customers with sometimes only one salesperson availableIn addition, we only carry dealertags at one time allowed for test drivesSo as much as we would like to satisfy our customers, we feel like it is a huge liability and risk to allow someoneto take one of our dealer tags and have one of our vehicles off the property for several hoursTherefore, we tell our customers that we do not allow them to take our cars to outside sources due to that liabilityWe ask that if they do not feel comfortable with their purchase, that we prefer thatthey don't purchase the vehicleThis particular customer had everything explained to them and we told them that if they were not comfortable not to purchasethe carAs they stated, we ourselves took the car off the property to a Missouri safety inspector to be inspectedThe car passed, the inspector saidthe car was to missouri state safety standards for resaleThe customer was given a copy of the safety inspection, as stated by customerWe did state toour customer if they took it straight to their mechanic and had any concerns to return the car and we would have our mechanic evaluate that concern. The customer states that they attempted to contact us, to our knowledge, there were never any messages left with any concern and the customer has never returned to the lot with the vehicle to address any concernsWe are open to 7:six days a weekIf there was any real concern why would you not just stop in person during business hours to resolve the issueWe cannot address or solve any issues without knowledge or the vehicle in our posession.The customer states that we sold the car with a bad catalytic converter and in the same statement customer said they drove the vehicle miles.With our experience with several thousand used cars, if a car had a bad catalytic converter it would not run good enough to make it off the lot, letalone milesIn addition, customer states that the vehicle check engine light came on and the air bag sensors were badOnce again, according the signed "as is" state required buyers guide that the customer signed at the time of purchase there was no check engine light or air bag light present at the time of saleA check engine light can come on at any time for as little as a gas cap not being on tightSo without physically seeing the vehiclewe cannot make an evaluation of any repair work needed or evaluate a cost for repairIf a customer takes it upon themselves to take a vehicle to a shop for immediate preventative maintenance or repair not needed then we don't feel like we should be responsible, especially on a budget vehicleof $when new cars cost thousands more

However, I remain disappointed in the level of customer service.  You feel it is unfortunate that I don't believe you stand behind your cars.  I clearly thought you did at one point as I trusted you enough to purchase the vehicle and trusted your salesman when he said "[redacted] stands behind his cars".  However, multiple e-mails via your website were sent with no response and it took a back and forth via Revdex.com to get you to stand behind your car.I will propose meeting at A-Bright Auto on August 19th at 10AM

We sold over 700 vehicles last year with very little unresolved complaints. It's not worth our time and energy to argue with a customer that clearly has been misled by outside sources and doesn't understand the mechanics of cars. We feel that it is unfortunate that he doesn't believe we stand behind our cars. We would never intentionally mislead any of our customers. We would be happy to issue a check for $500. In return, customer would need to set up a time that would be good for both parties to meet at A Bright Auto. Customer will be required to sign a hold harmless agreement. In addition, customer will agree that he will desolve any past and future negative reviews. We feel we were not given an opportunity to resolve this matter face to face at the place of business.
