Review: On Saturday, January **, 2014 I took a cab from NYC to Garfield, NJ requesting a flat fee of $70 for the cab fare. The cab fare was agreed upon by the driver and upon dropping us off the driver would not let us leave until we left him a tip. To avoid controversy, we added $19 as a tip (total of $99) even though we agreed upon a $70 flat fee. As soon as we were dropped off at our destination, I realized that I left my iPhone (worth $700) in the car. I immediately checked the application I had installed on my phone for GPS/location detection and the SIM card had been removed exactly 6 minutes after the cab driver dropped us off. We called the cab company and they told us immediately it was not the driver who took the phone, it was the next set of people he picked up without even giving us the opportunity to explain that that SIM card was removed from the phone immediately after dropping us off in the suburbs of NJ. If it had been the next set of passengers, this would have occurred in NYC which is approximately 30 minutes away from the location which we were dropped off at.

After several phone calls, each representative said they would call us back, however, we never received a return phone call. After the 4th phone call, the representative told me to "Forget about it" and "Not to call back again" and "They don't care what happened to our phone". They were extremely rude, not accommodating, and would not even give us the chance to explain what the issue was before arguing back and finally hanging up on us. The last communication from the representative was "Go ahead and file a police report, you're not getting your phone back". Not only did the cab driver demand we give him a tip (after agreeing on a flat fee), my $700 iPhone was stolen and I had to pay an extra $200 to buy a new phone. After repeated attempts to contact the company again, they have continuously hung up on me and will not further discuss the issue.Desired Settlement: The company has made it clear they will not return the phone, nor will they communicate further with me regarding the issue. I would like my payment for the cab fare to be returned as the services provided were not as advertised (charging more for the fare upon dropping us off) and items left in the vehicle were stolen. Not only is this theft of an item, it also theft of intellectual property, as I have many confidential, work related information on that phone.
