WF ELECTRONICS REPAIR FAILED TO REPLACE A SPEAKER W OEM PART WHICH THEY SAID THEY WOULD. THEN LIED AND SAID THEY DIDNT MAKE IT ANYMORE. THE MANUFACTURER SENT ME THE ORIGINAL OEM REPLACEMENT. NOW WF ELECTRONICS REFUSES TO RETURN BOGUS PART OR REFUND ANY MONEY. SAID THEY WERENT GOING TO DO ANYTHING FOR ME AND TO GET OUT.Product_Or_Service: SUB WOOFER REPAIRDesired SettlementREFUND 100 DOLLARS FOR INCORRECT SPEAKER WHICH I WILL RETURN. STILL MAKING 45 DOLLARS FOR 10-15 MIN OF LABOR.Business Response Wake Forest Electronics repaired Mr. [redacted] Polk Audio PSW404 by replacing the original subwoofer with the recommended replacement from Polk Audio, since the original subwoofer is no longer available. The DBW40DVC exceeds manufacturer specs for replacement and is Polk Audio's best quality 10 inch sub, a much better speaker than the original. Mr. [redacted] says that the part we put in is not correct, but we have not been able to verify this with Polk Audio. Polk Audio's stand is that this is the correct replacement. This part was ordered directly from Polk Audio for Mr. [redacted] and if Polk Audio made a mistake in their recommendation of this replacement they would have to send us the correct part, which we would be than happy to replace, free of charge. Mr. [redacted] completely bypassed Wake Forest Electronics by ordering a different sub from Polk Audio himself and also voided any warranty he has with Wake Forest Electronics by replacing the part he ordered himself. Also Mr. [redacted] received a return authorization (RA) from Polk Audio for the speaker Wake Forest Electronics put in, supposedly, and could send back the part himself.In conclusion, since Mr. [redacted] bypassed ** for any warranty actions, he has voided any warranty he had with us.Consumer Response AFTER BEING LIED TO I DID NOT WANT TO DEAL W THEM ANY FURTHER. IT DOESNT MATTER IF THE SPEAKER THEY INSTALLED EXCEEDS THE SPECS, IT IS FOR CAR AUDIO NOT HOME AUDIO, AND IT IS NOT OEM REPLACEMENT. WF ELECTRONICS GAVE ME THE OEM REPLACEMENT PART # TO RESEARCH IT MYSELF AND THEN DIDNT INSTALL THAT PART. POLK SENT ME THE OEM PART WF ELECTRONICS SAYS IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE(ANOTHER LIE) ITS INSTALLED IN THE UNIT NOW. CONFUSED ABOUT ANY WARRANTY ISSUE, JUST WANT TO BE REFUNDED FOR INCORRECT PART. I FEEL LIKE ITS UP TO THEM TO RETURN THE INCORRECT PART(NOT ME) AND DEAL WITH WHOMEVER SENT THEM THIS PART. IF THEY DONT WANT TO COOPERATE I GUESS WE LL HAVE TO LET SMALL CLAIMS COURT DECIDE. AFTER SOME RESEARCH I VE FOUND THAT I M NOT THE ONLY ONE TO HAVE ISSUES WITH THESE PEOPLE, THEY SEEM TO HAVE LITTLE TO NO ETHICS WHEN IT COMES TO DOING BUSINESS.Final Business Response We provided Mr. [redacted] with documentation that the speaker we installed was an original Polk Audio speaker sent to us as a replacement for a speaker that was no longer in production by Polk Audio. If Polk Audio had made a mistake there are procedures in which they send us the correct part at no charge and we return the incorrect part. Mr. [redacted] completely bypassed us in the process voided any and all warranty. Good Luck

They don't even get a star!I passed by Wake Forest Electronics Repair to price a new screen on an [redacted]. The lady was nice and told me $95. It was a good price so I decided to use them. Gave a $20 deposit for them to order the glass. She told me she'd call me when it came in and to bring my [redacted] then. The next week they called and told me the glass was in and to bring the [redacted]. I took it in. They called next day and told me it was fixed. I went to pick it up and there was a screen protectant on the device. It was also a little dim in the store, but things looked ok. I went outside and took it to my wife, in better light, and we were on our way to another place. My wife found smudges, fingerprints, and air bubbles under the glass. She had cleaned the screen several times thinking it was her hand that had done the damage.She called the store and told the lady about what she found. The lady told us to bring it in today. I take the [redacted] in today and the lady would not look at the device. Told us she would have to charge us to order another glass and then said there was nothing they would or could do to fix it. Her or her husband (who did the actual work) would not look at the device or fix what they had done. The lady also cursed me out in serious curse words and insulted my wife calling her names. So now I have an [redacted] with smudges, fingerprints, and air bubbles embedded in the device!Never never never use this place for anything!!!!Desired SettlementThey refused to repair the item or do anymore work on it so I just want my $95 back.Business Response As far as customers go, they are the worst. Their toddler son has destroyed the screen on their [redacted] and it needed to be replaced along with a good cleaning, cause it was disgusting. So sad. Anyway, they say that there is a problem with the display we put in but that you have to go in the parking lot, where the sun is shining correctly, on a certain spot to see it smudges and air bubbles. There is no liquid in this display so there can't be air bubbles. Maybe their son did some damage to the next layer from what we replaced? We played their game and went in the parking lot and saw nothing, absolutely nothing. If you have to look that hard to find something, obviously you have made it up. They are trying to get something for nothing and I recommend that you never have them as a customer. NEVER EVER. Consumer Response I'm not sure why the company is bringing up my toddler son and his breaking the [redacted] That's why we brought it to them. The issue we have is that they fixed the glass and it had fingerprints, smudges, and air bubbles under the glass that they fixed. we could not wipe this off; it is embedded into the glass. We did not see it immediately in the store because the lighting was poor and that's why I asked the man who fixed the [redacted]to step into the light when we came back the next day. he would not do so. they were rude. the lady cursed me out with [redacted] and all sorts of language. I only brought the [redacted]back because when we called them minutes after we left the store and noticed the issue, they said to bring it back so they could look. Then, we came the next day and they did not look. It was terrible. they say I was a bad customer, but they were paid in full and promptly. It is ok, though. she called my wife ugly, acted horribly, and offered no resolution. I got an offer from another company to fix the [redacted]for free for their sloppy work, but I am going to let them do so after I sue Wake forest electronics repair and show the [redacted]to a judge. I am making the record so no one else will get taken by them.Final Business Response there is nothing further to say, this is a mean mean man and should not treat people in such a manner. And the [redacted] was disgusting, something that costs so much should not be treated so terribly.
