Wake Radiology Reviews (2)

Would like my account pulled from collections with letters of proofEarly June 2016 I contacted Wake Radiology and spoke with someone letting them know something BIG came up and I honestly could not afford the $50 payment and she said I would have to pay something or in three months my account would be sent to collections. Come August, I paid $50 on the 11th and 22nd to try to catch up and then again Sept 8th. Between the last two payments I received a phone call from a collections agency stating my account was handed to them and I owe $471.92. I have also checked in with Wake and none of my last 3 payments have been accounted for, yet I have screenshots of when Wake Radiology cashed my money. Desired SettlementI am looking for my account to be pulled back from the collections agency and pulled from my credit report, as I am almost positive it has recently hit. I would like letters from both Wake Radiology, collections agency and credit bureau stating the accounts being pulled. I would also like a current bill sent to my house for the remaining balance of $321.92. But, I honestly feel that my account should be cleared because of this hassle.

I was charged for a procedure due to a clerk insisting I change the date of my appointment causing my insurance not to cover the procedure. This serves as my dispute that I owe the charges incurred for the mammogram that took place on June 9, 2015. I will further explain the situation and what transpired. In late May 2015, I was examined by my hemotologist's assistant and asked if I had my annual mammogram screening. I explained I had an appointment that was made after my last one in July 2014 set for late July 2015. A copy of the order is enclosed. It clearly states that the date of July 21, 2015 was acceptable to proceed with the mammogram. Late May 2015, I received a phone call from the scheduling clerk at Wake Radiology saying she had received the orders and that I need to have my mammogram done sooner. I made her aware that I already had an appointment for July and she insisted I should come sooner and that she could give me an appointment in early June - June 9th in fact. I did not question the clerk any further as I trusted that the time frame would be appropriate for my insurance to cover the procedure. I was uncomfortable changing the appointment, but trusted she was doing the right thing. I attended my appointment on June 9th as scheduled and my doctor received the results. I received a notice from Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina as a Notice of Denial of Payment on June 23, 2015. I immediately called the Wake Radiology office to dispute the issue and was transferred to the billing clerk who then transferred me to another woman who did not identify herself. As I was explaining that the scheduling of the appointment in June was at fault for the denial which had been strongly recommended by the scheduling clerk, she began to talk over me and argue that the clerk was not at fault and I did owe the bill. I continued to try and have her see the situation as I did and she continued to argue with me. Upset and distraught, I hung up the phone. I then called to get copies of the original order faxed to Wake Radiology to see if it backed up my explanation. I received a bill from Wake Radiology for account #DXXXXX in the amount of $330. I immediately called Wake Radiology and requested to speak to billing. The person I got on the phone said I needed to send correspondence to [redacted] who handles these things. I wrote a detailed letter including copies of my doctor's orders and the denial from BCBS. I received no response via phone, email or US mail. There was no acknowledgement of my claim. Two months passed and I still had not heard. I was not keeping tabs on the matter because of attending in my health matters prevented me from following up. This week I received a notice of collection for the amount of $320 claimed by Wake Radiology. I could not bring myself to be degraded by their billing staff if I called so I went on their web site and wrote a complaint. I don't expect to here from doing such as I did write one there after I had not heard from Mr. [redacted].Desired SettlementI wish that Wake Radiology absorbs the costs of $320 due to my being charged it because of their scheduling clerk's errorBusiness Response We are in the process of responding to the consumer presently, after confirming our research. Written response is expected to be mailed by 2/17/16.
