Wake Specialty Physicians - Accent Urgent Care

Accent Urgent Care staff applied payment to incorrect patient's account. I notified them twice about error yet they referred bill to collections.On July 28 2013 I visited Accent Urgent Care to seek treatment for my daughter, and paid a balance of $149.18 at checkout. I then started receiving bills for the $149.18 balance. Upon review of the paperwork I received during my visit I noticed the Encounter Form had my daughter's name listed as the patient but the invoice listed a different patient name. I was directed to speak with WakeMed billing staff to clear the issue, and in August 2014 I sent a WakeMed employee proof of payment and the erroneous invoice via e-mail. The bills started appearing again in early 2015, prompting another round of calls and e-mail with proof of payment. Despite receiving assurances this matter was resolved, the $149.18 balance was referred to a collection agency in June 2015 and appeared on my credit report the following month.Desired SettlementI want written verification that I have zero balance remaining from my July 2013 visit. I also want Accent/WakeMed to contact the collection agency and work with all three credit reporting agencies to remove this collection listing from my credit report.

Waiting on refund of co-pay for 3+ months; staff is unable to provide details of status or when I will receive check. I had a [redacted] injury (11-2013), and received care from Accent Urgent Care. [redacted] refunded Accent Urgent Care for the co-pay I paid out of pocket in approximately January of 2014. I have been waiting since that time to receive my co-pay refund. The check was supposedly issued once, but I never received it. Accent Urgent Care than supposedly was going to re-issue it, and said all would be complete by the end of April. It is currently May 19th, and staff is unable to provide me with any information on when the check will be issued/the reason for the delay. I have to call the office on a weekly basis in order to ensure the process of re-issuing the check is still moving forward. I have lost confidence at this point that Accent Urgent Care is actually going to refund my co-pay. Desired SettlementI would like my co-pay refunded; the co-pay is in the amount of $87.00.More info received from the consumer 2014-05-20Accent Urgent Care called on 5/19/2014 and had check ready for pick up. Issue is resolved.
