Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2016/06/01) */ On November 6, 2015, Ms [redacted] texted me and asked if I could repair some sprinkler valvesI told her that I would go the next day and check it out and give her a priceThe next day I went out and gave her a price and she said it was a good price and to do the jobI didn't ask for any money upfront, I bought all the parts I needed from my money "out-of-pocket" and I provided the serviceOnce I was finished I asked Ms [redacted] to come and take a look at the job and see that the sprinkler valves were not leaking anymoreShe said it looked good and that indeed they were not leaking and then she paid meIf she was unhappy on how it looked or worked, why did she pay me??? She could have told me right there and then that she didn't like itBut she reassured me that everything was good, therefore I left happy and thought she was happy with the service tooOn November 12, 2015, around days after the service was rendered Ms [redacted] texted me again and said that the sprinklers were still leaking, so I went to go take a look and I fixed them again and showed her that they were no longer leaking, however, I asked her to please wait a day or two to use themI'm not sure if she did or not, however, on November 27, 2015, days after she texted me again and said that the sprinklers were still leaking and asked for her money back to fix the messI told her that I couldn't give her the money back because I did my workI told her that I had shown her the first time when I finished and that she said it was good so I left and that I didn't leave a mess because she saw it and paid meI also told her that I'm sure if she didn't like it and if it was leaking she wouldn't have paid meBut that I was considerate to go back and fix them again and again she reassured me that they were goodI then told her that it was not my fault if she had a bigger problem with the sprinkler system underground, but that I did the work she paid me forWith all the gas, parts and time I spent for being a considerate guy and going back I lost moneyThen Ms [redacted] texted that she would contact you, Revdex.com, and file a complaintShe said I did a bad job from the start and I asked her again "Then why did you pay me if I did a bad job from the start? I didn't ask for any money upfrontYou paid me AFTER I finished the job and you inspected it and saw that it wasn't leaking." I told Ms [redacted] that I couldn't keep going and going whenever she textedOnce again I mentioned to her that it was probably the underground sprinkler system that needed to be fixed and that I was not paid to do thatI told her to do whatever she had to do because anybody could say bad things about your business/services but is it trueand to please stop texting/calling and to have a great dayI provided the service I was paid for and if Ms [redacted] has a bigger problem with her sprinkler system underground that it not my faultI seriously do not believe it is fair to give back the money after all I did Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (3000, 7, 2016/06/03) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) His work is extremely messy and unprofessional and he left a mess for me to clean upOnce he was there the third time, yes I paid him due to the fact that he did include in his price the price of the materials which I gladly offered to go and purchase on my own before he started and he said he would not mind getting the necessary materialsAccording to information from people at Lowe's and Home Depot, you are supposed to allow the glue to set up for at least hours before running the sprinklersHe did not do that any of the three times he was out to fix them, he ran the sprinklers several times each of the three times he was thereHow could you tell that they were still leaking when everything was completely soaked from him running the sprinklers? I was tired of dealing with him after the second failure and the third time, it just was ridiculous to even try to explain why he needed to come and do the repair properly when it should have been done properly the first timeHe absolutely does not know what he is doing , thinks that it is my fault that the sprinklers do not work, I allowed the sprinklers to properly dry after he left the third time, the day after he came out the third time I left for ten days out-of-state and didn't check them until I came back and we had rain during that time which makes it impossible to see if they are leakingHe is typical of someone who wants to put the blame on someone else for shoddy, incompetent workHe should have been very willing to come and make sure the sprinklers worked as he replaced all of the valvesI did not wait days it was only and of those I was out-of-stateIt was his fault they didn't work, not mineAnd he added tape with the glue which is not what you are supposed to doShame on himI am completely disappointed and now out $It should be replaced Final Business Response / [redacted] (4000, 10, 2016/06/15) */ Ms [redacted] paid me the first time I went after I had finished the job, she did not pay me until the third timeI told Ms [redacted] to wait at least a day or two to use the sprinklers so the glue could setThen, when she called me the second and third time I went to check the sprinklers out of kindness; I want all my customers to be happy with my workLike I mentioned before I'm not sure if she let the glue set and I'm not saying it is her fault, however, if she didn't let it set or if she has a bigger problem with her underground system it is NOT my faultI did the job I was paid for and I bought the material with money out of my pocketIt is completely unfair to pay her back
