This Walgreens deserves no stars I purchased a curling iron about weeks ago from here and came back to return it today because I got one as a birthday gift days ago The one I returned was evidently unopened as I never even took it out of the box and yes I lost the receipt so they had to call the manger [redacted] who comes with a face as if he is not happy to be at work today I explained I lost the receipt and somehow it doesn't come up under my phone number which is the same one I use every time I shop at Walgreens which is very often by the way He tells me nothing and says to the guy at the register "do we even have this" the guy says he has never seen or so he holds it up high and asks the girl in cosmetics who confirms they do and I asked him if it was still $which is how much I paid for it and he says will go check but disappears and as I start walking towards cosmetics to check the price myself he starts calling me from the photo department to go over there He gives me a credit of $for it and tells me that is how much is for now and all he can give me and so I replied well I don't think I have a choice do I ? He gives me the Walgreens gift card with the $credit for it and I go back to cosmetics which I probably should have done to begin with to check the price which indeed was $and is what I should have gotten the credit for I go back again and ask for him [redacted] the manager and they call him so he comes out and I asked him why he gave me $if it's up for $which is how much I paid for it and he just stays quiet like if he is in another planet and I am talking to him in another language that he does not recognize and after I politely asked about times he tells me that is what he got on the system and nothing he can do about and to call the number on the back of the receipt to complain Very unprofessional, I am a manager myself of a law firm and this is not a way to treat a customer who is being taken advantage of to say the least I will not ever come back to this Walgreens or any other Walgreens for that matter and will discourage everyone I know from doing so

Consumer responded via the phone is as follows. The Regional Manager of the company contacted the consumer. She received an apology, a credit to her account resulting in a zero balance and a gift card.  The resolution to the complaint is satisfactory.
