We are sorry we couldn't come to terms in concern with your experience here Of course as with any type of relationship, respect and courtesy are given on either side to make sure we are all moving towards the same goal If we can help in the future please do not hesitate to contact the office, but as for this situation we can only apologize for this becoming more than it had to be But this complaint has been fielded and is found to be nothing we can do to help with a situation that has been handled in the proper manner, as well as a respectful one

To whom it may concern, Mr [redacted] is being extremely disingenuous, it so happens that all of the best details have been left out of his complaint However, they were all explained to him MULTIPLE times Mr [redacted] owes MULTIPLE debts to his creditor We received his emails and a receipt to merely debt with COMPLETELY different account number that the one in question here that we hold, which was explained to him again MULTIPLE times His creditor has verified this information with Mr [redacted] as well And funny enough when Mr [redacted] is claiming that his debt has been verified as being sold to a DIFFERENT owner that owner is not [redacted] Management either Because if Mr [redacted] would listen to reason it was explained to him that is not how it works Meaning his so called receipt from this company is inadmissible as well under his own logic Apparently he is claiming that [redacted] owns it meaning that under his logic nothing short of a letter from them would absolve him anyway Again, this has been explained MULTIPLE times in a courteous manner yet we are met with threats and slandering from this consumer Everytime Mr [redacted] has contacted the office he is always met with a live agent and management so that is another lie So again, if Mr [redacted] wishes to contact the office we are always available to help him understand his predicament and help him through as we always have in the most courteous mannerThank You for your time

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. This company failed to provide proof or validation of this debt I already paid, badgered and threatened me with legal action until I relented and ultimately paid the debt again to avoid further harassment I have declined to further communicate with this company and have opened a complaint with the FBI, the FTC, my state’s attorney general and the Department of Commerce Regards, *** ***

In an attempt to RESOLVE this debt, the contacts I had with this company led me in numerous circles. I am still convinced that I PAID THE DEBT IN FULL. I owed only ONE debt with ***, the original creditor, not multiple debts. *** indicated that they sold the debt to *** *** in and in turn, it was sold elsewhere. *** *** was to have obtained that information for me, however have not contacted me with regard to whom they sold the debt. *** indicates they know nothing of Walker Goldstein and Associates, and that when they sold the debt, the File number changed because it went to an outside agency. Today, after a conversation with a "manager" at this "law firm," I finally agreed to settle the balance on our agreement as I DO NOT WISH to be contacted by them or any other agency regarding this debt which has now been paid TWICE! The manager also indicated that he thought the other company I paid last year for this debt may not have given over the money they collected from me to the original creditor, and that I could have been scammed. I was then advised that upon receiving a letter of clearance from Walker Goldstein, which I do NOT have in my hands today after paying the debt AGAIN, I should ask the credit bureaus to post the payment. The debt was never reported with the credit bureaus, therefore my confidence that Walker Goldstein and Associates is going to turn over the collected funds to the original creditor, ***, who know nothing of them, is low. I do NOT have a letter of clearance of the debt from Walker Goldstein after I paid the debt today and was told that "that office is closed but we can have it as soon as Monday." As a point of fact, I have never been disingenuous about paying this debt, and have made every effort by providing the proof of payment, to demonstrate I have already paid the debt. The fact remains that Walker Goldstein violated FDCPA by leaving me voicemails threatening to take me to court, to have a summons server present me with a court summons for civil court at my residence or work. This violation of law doesn't lend a shred of credibility to their claims that I owed this debt, and the fact that I've not immediately received a letter of clearance and proof of payment and assurances that the funds will be turned over to *** would lead any reasonable person to assume that this company is anything but above reproach, and one might also conclude that from their actions, are fraudulent. Having ME chase the "chain of custody" of the debt to prove that I didn't owe the debt is a cloak and dagger attempt to shift the focus of the entire point of this complaint...that I ALREADY PAID THIS DEBT IN FULL, and now have paid it TWICE! My proposal is that Walker Goldstein provide me with IMMEDIATE PROOF of clearance and payment of this debt, as is my RIGHT under the law, and that they contact *** Advance with proof of contact IN WRITING, that this debt has been PAID and funds collected will be sent to ***. I spoke with several people at Walker Goldstein, claiming to be this manager or that, and yes, they explained to me numerous times the incredibly convoluted debt collections practices, and stating the my original payment to *** *** Management didn't have the original *** file number and that their documentation does. I was told BY ***, that this File Number changes when the debt is sold and that two file numbers are then used as one is assigned to the company to whom they sold the debt. Again, I owed only ONE debt to ***, which they can verify and did in my last telephone conversation with them. 1. I want this letter of clearance TODAY, showing that I PAID this debt IN FULL. ( a second time ) 2. I want written proof of communication between Walker Goldstein and Associates and *** Advance, clearing my name and this debt. I, as a consumer, am protected under the law, and have provided all I need to demonstrate cooperation and that I PAID this same debt last year. It doesn't matter to whom I paid the debt. It was PAID. Walker Goldstein had provided nothing to substantiate the claim other than to indicate the File Number is the same as ***'s. Under the law, the burden of proof is on Walker Goldstein, not on the consumer. I have provided proof of payment. I now have paid twice. In the event that they are unable to substantiate the chain of custody of the debt or their direct connection to ***, or provide proof of such, this and any other complaint will remain open until such proof is provided. Regards, *** *** The consumer additionally forwarded *** *** *** (doc) and this email statement: Just as I'd provided a narrative to you regarding this debt, Walker
Goldstein provided the attached letter of clearance, however I am still
not assured in any way that they have any direct connection to ***
Advance---------- Forwarded message ---------- Dear ***, This is the request of account PAID letter of acknowledgementThis letter is to demonstrate that all responsibility to the named account(s) is removed by method of payment to an agreed arrangement. It also explains that no further collection activity is allowed beyond this point and can be issued to the credit reporting agencies as account PAID. Thank you for your cooperation in clearing up this matter, and we hope we can assist you in matters in the future should you be in this unfortunate position again. Thank you. We are sorry we couldn't come to terms in concern with your experience here.  Of course as with any type of relationship, respect and courtesy are given on either side to make sure we are all moving towards the same goal.  If we can help in the future please do not hesitate to contact the office, but as for this situation we can only apologize for this becoming more than it had to be.  But this complaint has been fielded and is found to be nothing we can do to help with a situation that has been handled in the proper manner, as well as a respectful one.

To whom it may concern,  Mr. [redacted] is being extremely disingenuous, it so happens that all of the best details have been left out of his complaint.  However, they were all explained to him MULTIPLE times.  Mr. [redacted] owes MULTIPLE debts to his creditor.  We received his...

emails and a receipt to merely 1 debt with COMPLETELY different account number that the one in question here that we hold, which was explained to him again ... MULTIPLE times.  His creditor has verified this information with Mr. [redacted] as well.  And funny enough when Mr. [redacted] is claiming that his debt has been verified as being sold to a DIFFERENT owner that owner is not [redacted] Management either.  Because if Mr. [redacted] would listen to reason it was explained to him that is not how it works.  Meaning his so called receipt from this company is inadmissible as well under his own logic.  Apparently he is claiming that [redacted] owns it meaning that under his logic nothing short of a letter from them would absolve him anyway.  Again, this has been explained MULTIPLE times in a courteous manner yet we are met with threats and slandering from this consumer.  Everytime Mr. [redacted] has contacted the office he is always met with a live agent and management so that is another lie.  So again, if Mr. [redacted] wishes to contact the office we are always available to help him understand his predicament and help him through as we always have in the most courteous manner. Thank You for your time.
