Walker Mill Apartments

I applied for an apartment with *** back on November 12, 2017. I applied online per the rental property instructions, I paid $135 for my application fee and the holding fee for the unit. On November 12th the application was instantly denied based on credit information. I was told that it would take about 30-45 days to process the refund of the holding fee since the application was denied. I waited roughly about 30 to almost the 45 day wait period for the refund only to be told that my paperwork got misplaced between one person being fired and another person being hired. I spoke to the account manager for the property on or around December 29th, she informed me of the process and said I should definitely be receiving my monetary funds by the 29th of January via electronically to my card used to apply. On January 30th I called back over to the property spoke to the same young lady I had spoken to previously to let her know that I had yet to receive my money back. I have been calling the property every week trying to find out where my money is. The accounting manager gave me the number to their Regional office in Laurel, where I called and left several messages only to not get any call back to resolve this issue. I called back over to the temple Hills property, spoke to the accounting manager again and this time she informed me that this is something she can no longer handle and that this is something beyond her control, she finally gave me the number to their Corporate office in Pennsylvania where I've been calling everyday since Friday February 2nd and still have yet to receive an email or phone call back. The answering machine says if you leave a message you will receive a call back within 24-48 hours, here it is Friday February 9th and thus far no phone call and it has been over 24-48 hours. I'm angry, I've been more than patient and I know if I was a tenant and I was late with my rent I would have been evicted.

I moved to *** On March 11, 2017; however it has been an unhappy union since day 1. When I first moved in it was still 30 degrees outside and my apartment had no heat and my stove had a gas leak. I alerted the rental office immediately. I even eventually spoke directly to the property manager, so he was aware of the issue. My heat and gas leak was not fixed over a week later and in stead of fixing the problem only provided me with one space heater. I called a home inspector to come and look at the apartment and he stayed on top of it until the problems were fixed. However, on the night of May 18,2017 my son was in bed and I was on the couch watching tv when my apartment caught fire with me and my son inside. My things were damaged and I was now out of an apartment, and *** did nothing! I had to have my rental insurance adjuster step in and take care of things. The rental insurance adjuster called *** to urge them to put me into a new apartment, and they finally did a week later. Both incidences where my apartment was considered uninhabitable, my rent according to my lease was supposed to stop; however, they kept charging me rent. They finally put me in a new apartment May 26,2017. On June 1,2017 I came home after work to my apartment being flooded out. There was mold on the walls, my brand new bathroom rug ruined. Instead of fixing the problem they painted over it. Now, my apartment constantly has fumes of paint and plaster, my bathroom floor is sinking in, and my bathroom ceiling is bowing outward and is soft. On top of it they keep leaving behind a mess every time they come into my apartment; also leaving on lights and keep turning on my air which is running up my electric bill which is already over $400 dollars because of the problem with the heat from the original apartment. I am fed up with this apartment complex, this is entirely ridiculous!! They don't fix the problems, they hide them.. No one deserves this treatment and should have to live this way.
