Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: on each occasion that Walker stated they fixed/repaired my vehicle they did notThe initial problem was the trim around the sunroof on the interiorIt is still not fixedThis is a brand-new vehicle, my first time purchasing a brand-new vehicle and I have had such bad serviceThey claim to have fixed it each time but did not, obviouslyOtherwise I would not have taken my vehicle back and back and back to be repairedEach time they left garbage and Grease marks and scuffs in my vehicleThey offered me a professional detail on a brand-new car which I did not need after claiming to have given me a complementary wash after my repairI want my vehicle fixedI should not have to be going through this much drama and frustration Now when I get in my vehicle it makes me upset, I can't even enjoy this new experienceThe final time that I spoke with the manager at Walker service all I got back from him was I don't know, I don't know, I don't know I have reached out to the main Subaru on the East Coast three timesThe first was by email which got me nowhere, the second time the girl said that she would call me back the next day with some results I had to call back today and again the answers that I'm getting is I don't know I don't know I don't know She told me that she is waiting on walker Renton Subaru to get paperwork to themI don't understand what the holdup is or why it is taking so longI have now asked to speak to the supervisor from the main Subaru and now have to wait more time hopefully getting somebody to call me backThe overall service has been the worst that I have ever receivedSincerely, [redacted]

RE: [redacted] # [redacted] Walker's does offer non-appointment/drop in oil changes If there are drop in customers ahead of you or scheduled appointments, you will be worked in accordingly, When Ms[redacted] arrived, she was informe d that it would be approx imately 1to hours due to prescheduled jobs, does that work or would you prefer to leave your vehicle or preschedule an appointment for a later time Ms [redacted] chose to schedule an appointment for later in the month We trust that everyone understands that no appointment/drop-ins are welcome, however, that does not mean those get placed ahead of customers who have reserved a time or have dropped in ahead of them This appears to have created confusion and we apologize for that and we are reviewing how we may state it more clearly Dale W***

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: They violated federal law in not honoring my warranty. The Magnuson- Moss act makes it illegal for a dealer to invalidate a warranty because of non-dealer maintenance. The car had only slipped a few teeth on the timing belt when I had the car. It at no time was knocking or leaking from the cylinder head when I had the vehicle. This damage was done after their mechanic ignored my warnings, and proceeded to damage the engine by improperly diagnosing the problem. The major damage occurred because the engine was defective and the dealer did more damage than good after they took possession of the vehicle. I have had over cars over the last years- they usually are traded in at over 150,miles in good shape. This is the first vehicle I have ever had that needed a new engine after only twenty nine thousand miles. The vehicle used excessive oil since I first purchased it, if you look online this a common problem with certain Subaru models. I just didn't realize that it indicated that the car had more serious problems from the beginning than I realized. I don't take my car to dealers because I have had consistent bad experience with bad or fraudulent repairs from dealers in the past-this is just another example. When I work on the car myself I know the work is done properly and have never had my work fail. I have never damaged an engine like their mechanic did to mine. He should have listened to me and checked the timing belt first. The mechanics note doesn't even mention what I told him was wrong with the car. He lied from the beginning to cover up his malpractice!
Sincerely,

ID # ***Neither Subaru of America or Walker's Renton Subaru are denying to repair Ms***'s vehicle
The fix that has been attempted is the recommended and approved fix under the vehicle warrantybacked by Subaru of America
Over the years Walker's Renton Subaru and the technician working on this vehicle has performed manyof these repairs and have never experienced this type of reoccurring problem
Subaru of America is currently in possession of the entire repair history concerning this issue and isdetermining what the next step is to ensure a permanent fix
As soon as we hear from Subaru of America we will be in contact with Ms***

Re: *** *** ID# ***
Obviously our position is different than Mr***
We are in the business of selling vehicles and if there had been any way to complete this sale we would have been more than happy to do so
The day after the purchase we discovered that we did not have the
down payment of $5,
We contacted Mr*** and he stated that he had given us one and we verified again that we didn't have it
Mr*** was contacted again and asked to see if the check had cleared his account, it hadn't, and then asked Mr*** to put a stop payment on the check, we would reimburse any expense associated with that, and re issue a check or bring in a cashier's check
He would do neither as he kept saying that he had already given us a check
After over a week of this we demanded our vehicle back
The sales agreement has been voided
Sincerely;
Dale W***

RE: *** * *** # ***
Walker's does offer non-appointment/drop in oil changes
If there are drop in customers ahead of you or scheduled appointments, you will be worked in accordingly,
When Ms.*** arrived, she was informe d that it would be approx imately 1to hours
due to prescheduled jobs, does that work or would you prefer to leave your vehicle or preschedule an appointment for a later time
Ms*** chose to schedule an appointment for later in the month
We trust that everyone understands that no appointment/drop-ins are welcome, however, that does not mean those get placed ahead of customers who have reserved a time or have dropped in ahead of them
This appears to have created confusion and we apologize for that and we are reviewing how we may state it more clearly

ID# ***Ms*** brought her vehicle in on 8/4/for a warranty repair to the headlinerThis repair wascompleted and the vehicle was returned to Ms***
The vehicle was brought back in on 8/16/as the sunroof trim piece had fai led and the headliner hadcome looseThis was repaired
and vehicle returned to Ms***
Ms*** brought vehicle in on 8/31/with same issue concerning sunroof trim piece, it wasrepaired again and vehicle delivered to Ms***
We were unaware of any related issues until receipt of this letter from the Revdex.com
We are in the process of contacting Ms*** to ascertain if there is a current issue with this repair. These are non-safety related warranty issues and Subaru of America has denied Ms*** request fora replacement vehicle
Ms*** vehicle has been into Walker's three t imesOne for a headliner replacement and twice forfailed sunroof trim piece
On each occasion, Ms*** has been supplied with a service loaner and on the last two occasions,Walker's has picked up and delivered the vehicle from Ms*** and provided a service loaner as wellas providing a complete detail and an item from the Parts department at zero cost to Ms***
Walker's understands Ms*** frustration with this issue and will continue work with her to fix it.Dale W***Walker's Renton Subaru

Re: *** * ***ID ***In talking with Mr***, it became clear that he felt the vehicle should have been equipped with foglights, bumper guard and tinted windows. We will install these items at zero cost in an effort to remedy any doubts or ill feelings concerning thepurchase of their
new vehicle.Sincerely,Dave W***Walker's Renton Subaru

Walker's Renton Subaru does not approve or disapprove Subaru of America warranty claims. That is at the sole discretion of Subaru of America. When Mr*** brought the vehicle into our shop he stated, as per the enclosed repair order, that thecheck engine light came on while driving, a few hundred
yards later the car stalledHe restarted the carand kept driving a few hundred yards later the car stalled againHe then had the car towed intoWalker's Renton Subaru. With all due respect to Mr***, we cannot accept a diagnosis by a non-certified Subaru technician. We followed proper procedure by attempting to start the vehicle.Whereas attempting to start the vehicle may have shredded some teeth on the timing belt, due to it notstarting it did not contribute to the existing engine damage/failure found upon tear down of the engine. This tear down discovered, as per the enclosed repair order, coolant in the oil, cams and cam journalswere severely scared on those intake cams, allrod bearings scored and the cylinder walls have scoring.None of this could have been done by anything Walker's did as the vehicle was never able to start.Subaru of America sent an agent to inspect the vehicle and initially denied warranty coverage as theengine failure was not a result of a manufacturing defect.Walker's Renton Subaru then lobbied Subaru of America on behalf of Mr*** and was able to getapproval as a goodwill gesture of a 50% split between Subaru of America and Mr*** for the neededrepairs of the vehicle.Walker's Renton Subaru believes that under the circumstances of this repair that Mr*** has been treated more than fair by both Subaru of American and Walker's Renton Subaru.Sincerely, Dale W*** ***SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS REDACTED BY Revdex.com***
