I am rejecting this response because: At no time was anyone, especially me, was asked to leave I am the customer and I am not satisfied with the job Never did anyone say anything about stopping payment and I was going to use my credit cardThey got mad because I complained about their workmanshipAs for my friend her car was blocked in by a van so she could not leave anyway T Everyone else was paying with a credit card so he had no grounds not to accept mine except for the fact that he got angry because someone called him out on bad job and therefore is the real issue I have all the right to let them know that I am not happy with the job and if I so choose to complain about it I had no intention not did anyone even mention stop payment That was his own insecurity because he knew they made a couple of errors that any decent business should fixNo one impeded business at any time and as a matter of fact when I came back to pick up my truck, he insulted my driver and I do have a witness to this as it so happened to be a person my driver knew previously This whole matter could have been avoided had they treated it all professionally Maaco corphas yet to give me the information as to who the owner is of the franchiseWaiting to here from that dept I want them to reimburse me so that I may fix the issues that they refused to They obviously don't take any kind of pride in their work and have extremely low standards

Regarding the events that transpired between the dates of June 23rd, and June 26th, in relation to Mr***’ vehicle, Mr***’s dropped off his Pontiac at 8:02AMstating he needed his vehicle back as soon as possible and would require transportation to his home, to which we
acquiescedKeeping in mind Mr*** was in need of his vehicle at the earliest convenience, we shuffled vehicles around in our schedule to accommodate his need and painted his vehicle the next dayMr*** was promptly called when his vehicle was finished being cleaned up and put back together on June 25th, and he came down to pick up his vehicle, remarking that it looked much better and the color matching was quite good before thanking the company for the work that was doneMr*** called back later that afternoon immediately stating that “We have a problem” and that the “Paint job looks terrible.” The company advised Mr*** that I would need to see what he was referring to before I could make a proper recommendation as to how to resolve his concernsMr*** came in to the shop the next morning and we looked at the hood of his car to try and address his concerns, which included some minor dust particles that has settled into the clear coat, a small amount of overspray on his headlight, an one spot in the area we repaired that he claimed was off-colored, darker, or something to that effect which neither myself nor one of my employees could seeAn apology wad offered and Mr*** was informed that while the overspray on his headlight should not have been overlooked, minor dust particles are inherent to the painting process and referred him to his paperwork he signed at the time of drop off while also stating that there was little that could be done to fix something that can’t be seen by a repair technician, stating that if he is seeing something the company was not, it might be something like a shadowAt that time, the company offered for Mr*** to leave his vehicle so we could cut and buff his hood to re move the dust particles, even though it wasn’t covered under any form of warranty, and so that we could clean his headlightsMr*** responded with a comment insulting the credibility of the employees working at this particular location and refused to allow MAACO to do any more work on his vehicle and saying it was because of the companys “Incompetence” before leaving the facilityThe shop us willing to offer Mr*** a $refund on the credit card used to make the purchase for the inconvenience of the situation upon signature acknowledging a void of warranty on the vehicle

Business states that any pending issues will be dealt with directly with the consumer herselfShe is welcome to call and set up an appointment so any possible repair issues may be reviewed and properly addressed

I am rejecting this response because: Yes We Did mark the specific parts to be paintedAlso yes some of those parts normally would not be painted they would have been left alone and kept black or original color as requested, that is the reason why we marked the Truck in the first place..I did not receive what I Requested or paid for.I would not be putting in this complaint if otherwise.I believe Maaco takes photos before vehicle is touched I seen rep taking pictures of those marks you should be able to see where the car was marked with his green marker. We also had a specific conversation regarding the black under trim It was never and should have never been markedIf it was anything else I would be complaining about color or quality or any bs I could make up.Please gather more info on this issue and please make it right.. Thanks

I am rejecting this response because: The business manager told me he will not fix the issues I would just like a partial refund and take my truck to a good shop

Prior to picking up her vehicle, Ms*** informed the company that her friend would be paying for her paint jobWhen she came to pick up her truck, her friend had two concerns with the paint job, both of which were talked about with Ms*** the day the vehicle was dropped off for repairs
After going back and forth with the company regarding the concerns with the service, the customer decided to pay for and pick up their vehicle, but to pay with a check, which is not an accepted form of payment at the establishmentThere was also mention of stopping payment at which point the company decided it would be in its best interest if the customer paid in cashThe customer refused, stating that she didn't have that amount of money and her friend refused to pull the money outMs***s friend proceeded to threaten the business with complaints to the BAR and Revdex.com and called the police when they were asked to vacate the premises multiple times and refused to leaveMs***s friend also went and stood in front the vehicle when and employee attempted to move it and began talking to other customers, impeding the company's ability to conduct businessApproximately three hours after the police were called, they arrived and spoke with both parties and informed the customer that the shop has the right to choose the method of payment and that the customer needed to come up with the money to get her vehicle released

I am rejecting this response because: This is not an issue of warranty it is an issue of an majority of the work I payed to have done was not even doneBy looking at the attached pictures you will see you guys never even repaired of the holes just used my bondo that was temporary and you told me you would remove and painted over itOne of the you did fill the body filler is hanging down to the point that its actually touching the interior roofingThe little [paint you guys did do would have to be removed to repair the holesSo I am literately no better off then before I dropped off the cars to you guys? But you guys want me to leave my car there again to do what? I would hate to see what it would look like if I left it there again

We have reached out to this customer via phone calls Us MailThe customer has never contact MaacoAlso the customer has stopped payment on his *** Card and Maaco has not been Paid for any of the WorkMaaco of Modesto is willing to address the customers concernsRegards * *** Maaco of
Modesto

I am rejecting this response because: I do not believe this matter to be closed three of my concerned were partially fixed the other concerns were brushed off and ignored due to the warranty. The partial fixes the drips on the right front hood were “shaved off” but nothing was done about the excessive dimples in areaThe quarter panel also had drips but there is still putty and paint left in the crevice between the bumper and the quarter panelThe door jams had this brown paint smudged that was fixed but not all the way there is still some spots with it, so not completely doneNow the concerns that were brushed off, The Chips This car did not have many to begin with but I got the “Excessive Chip Service” now there is a part in the papers I signed about the chips and it say they are deemed acceptable unless specified but I bought the excessive chip repair service so to me that means that a better job should have been doneIm pretty sure that if we went through the pictures that were taken we could go through the chips in the paint and about 95% of them will still be presentFinally The paint finish itself is not smooth

I am rejecting this response because: As of 2-8-16 the payment has been reversed back to them because they provided my credit company with an receipt they had me sign the day I dropped off the vehicle attached to an "completion certificate" that I never signed that is also dated the day I dropped off the car the 28th when i  picked  up the car on the 30th. I also did go by their location the same date and also before I even left the lot when I was picking up the car and showed his employee my issue. but of course he would not come out and look at it himself. I even have an video of when I was talking to the worker and he straight up lied to my face saying he did work that they did not do.Which was the basis of the whole job. I would understand if the part they didnt do was not UNDER the paint they painted and if that paint woudlnt have to be stripped to repair the issue. But sadly the car would have to be stripped just to repair then repaint the car and the time limit I had to get that painted and repaired is well past. [redacted] knew I was having it painted only because I had an deal with an dealership that they would buy it if I got the paint and those things fixed and had an appointment with them to sale it to them and that dealership declined to buy the car due to an not completed and   "substandard" repair job. They left me out to dry Leaving me with an 800+ dollar debt that I wouldn't of even had if he had not promised me they were going to to the stuff they charged me for but diddnt even do... Never has maaco offered to refund me any amount but they sure had no problem making sure I payed before they even did the job and imagine that they didn't even do the work and that is just amazing that is what they are using to try to cover themselves.

After praising the company several times on the paint service that was done to the vehicle, concerns regarding low tires were addressed with Mr. [redacted] When a service representative checked the air in the tires, the result was within 1 lb of the MAXIMUM amount as advised by the...

manufacturer. Customer demanded the shop air the tires to his specification and the shop acquiesced in good faith to attempt to resolve the conflict offering apologies regardless of the understanding that such deflation is common with regular driving and wear. All of which was explained to the customer who became irate after receiving information contrary to his belief. Customer claimed [redacted] agreed the tires were low. However, [redacted] calmly stated that the tires did not look low but would have a representative ascertain the actual PSI of the tires in question, regardless. After showing the customer the tires were within the properly specified PSI as per manufacturer recommendations, customer accused the shop of having hit something with the tires in question noting the glossy look of the tires which at that time a representative wiped the tires to remove the non-silicone dressing that was applied per MAACO standards. Customer then proceeded to berate both [redacted] and another MAACO representative regarding the issues after having been given evidence to prove contrary to his claims. MAACO takes pictures of all vehicles that have work done at its facilities and would be happy to provide them, complete with time stamps from when the vehicle was dropped off and before it was moved, to prove no damage was done to the vehicle while in the shops possession. Furthermore, the shop and its representatives retain the belief that the customer was unwilling to reason and made unnecessary threats, attempting to use his position as a law enforcement officer as means of fear mongering to bully the establishment into paying for damage the customer may, or may not, have known was done to the vehicle before it was left in the care of the establishment. Attempts were made to pacify the situation. However, the customer was unwilling to listen to reason even in the face of overwhelming evidence. The customer was also informed not only via contract (which was conveniently not submitted by said customer and would happily be provided by the establishment) but also was expressed verbally, that emblems that break upon removal or are not present at the time of drop off will often not be put on the vehicle post-painting. All vehicles are kept under video surveillance while on the premises and such videos can provided. The establishment bids no ill will but feels that it is unfortunate that the customer has deemed it necessary to resort to fear mongering tactics in an attempt to have it pay for damages not rendered at its facility and will not offer any form of compensation on the grounds that proper evidence was provided to exonerate it and it's employees/representatives from any guilt regarding damage as expressed by the customer and has chosen not to perform any additional work for Mr. [redacted] citing the claims he made under color of authority. The establishment and its employees and representatives should not be subjected to demeaning and threatening tactics.

The Company is willing to address his concerns and all paint services have a warranty, If the customer would return phone calls and answer the letter he was mailed Via certified mail asking the customer call the shop and the company would set a time to review his concerns and resolve his issues. The customer  stopped payment with out any attempt to resolve his issues. All the paper work on file have matching signatures which was submitted to the credit card company.  Maaco of Modesto will address any and all warranty issues  Regards [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:  At no time was anyone, especially me, was asked to leave.  I am the customer and I am not satisfied with the job.  Never did anyone say anything about stopping payment and I was going to use my credit card. They got mad because I complained about their workmanship. As for my friend her car was blocked in by a van so she could not leave anyway.  T Everyone else was paying with a credit card so he had no grounds not to accept mine except for the fact that he got angry because someone called him out on bad job and therefore is the real issue.  I have all the right to let them know that I am not happy with the job and if I so choose to complain about it.  I had no intention not did anyone even mention stop payment.  That was his own insecurity because he knew they made a couple of errors that any decent business should fix. No one impeded business at any time and as a matter of fact when I came back to pick up my truck, he insulted my driver and I do have a witness to this as it so happened to be a person my driver knew previously.  This whole matter could have been avoided had they treated it all professionally.  Maaco corp. has yet to give me the information as to who the owner is of the franchise. Waiting to here from that dept.  I want them to reimburse me so that I may fix the issues that they refused to.  They obviously don't take any kind of pride in their work and have extremely low standards.
