Wallin's Fowler Funeral Home Reviews (11)

Dear Ms [redacted] In reference to the complaint:This client came to this office in for a service.? She provided third-party payer insurance information at that time.? We provided the service and filed with the third-party payer she provided. It turned out that the insurance information she provided was incorrect.? That was no longer her payer at the time.? So, we filed with new insurance information she gave this office. That insurance company never paid for the service provided.? We filed several times.? Still no payment.? The patient was billed over the course of time without this office ever receiving payment for the services provided.Ultimately, this office underwent an internal audit and found several old claims that were never resolved.? We sent out bills to those clients? Many of the clients paid what they owed without any issue.? They realized this office provided a service, never got paid, and deserved to get paid, so they paid the balances due. This client contacted her insurance payer to complain, after she contacted this office to complain.? That insurance payer contacted this office and asked for proof of timely filing, which we provided.? Yet they still did not pay.? Ultimately, the burden is on the client to resolve the bill when the insurance will not.? This insurance is a product bought by the client, not by this office.? If the client’s product does not pay, they themselves are accountable for the balances due. This office understands the frustration this client feels, since the claim is so old.? But this office has frustration of its own?"having provided a service ten years ago and still have not received payment for the services provided. The service was done.? Payment was never made.? This is the bottom line.? Not the fact that the service was ten years ago? Thank you for your attention to this matter.? [redacted] ***Office Manager

Complaint: I am rejecting this response because:There ARE time limits in the state of Texas to bill a patient in a timely mannerAccording to Texas Statues for Civil Practice and Remedies Code, Title 6, Chapter 146, Section 2(c), a healthcare service provider shall bill a patient for services provided no later than the first day of the 11th month after the date the services are provided Sincerely, [redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my
complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.] ANSWER NOT ACCEPTABLE CAUSE SERVICEMAN WAS RUDE WHEN LEAVING AND HE TELL ME SOMETHING I KNOW IS NOT TRUE....SAID SOME COMPONENT IS BROKE COSTING $AND NEEDS REPLACING......PART HE REFER TO WAS ALMOST NEW REPLACED ONLY YEARS AGO AND 1ST ONE LASTED OVER YEARS!!!

There are no time limits in the state of Texas to simply billing people for services rendered. As for the other issues, her complaint to the board prohibits me from addressing them further in this setting.Thank you

Section of the Texas Civil Practice & Remedies Code does, in fact, state what this person has noted; however, it is not applicable under these circumstances as she was billed for the services at the time they were provided but never paid for those services It is cost-prohibitive to send out bills with return receipt requested, so I have no proof whether in fact she received the bills or not As a result, and after an audit of unpaid accounts, she was again invoiced for the services provided which she failed to pay at the time they were provided in essence, she received health care services and simply refuses to pay for those services. Under the same statute she cited, I am prohibited from being subject to disciplinary action for billing for these services And based upon the facts noted above, I am well within my right to continue to bill her for those services

Mr *** was told there was two issues and was quoted a fair price to do the repairattached is the copy of the service call

Complaint:
I am rejecting this response because:I requested an itemized bill of services showing insurance payments and/or denialsSo the only way we can be at an impasse, is if DrStubee is refusing to provide the itemized bill of services with insurance details and still expects me to pay for a service that should have been covered by insurance (essentially being paid twice for the same service)Once an itemized bill is provided, I will verify with the insurance I had at the timeI will then either pay for what insurance would not cover at the time of service, or the balance should be removed if insurance did cover the service
Sincerely,

Complaint:
I am rejecting this response because:I never received a bill for the services until April 2016, and DrStubee has not proven that she sent a bill at the time of services (only her word that she sent it just like I only have my word that I never received a bill before April 2016)I have not refused to payI have said "I feel like the office is not being honest and may be double charging" I do not feel like I should pay for a service if insurance has already paid for itI have never had to pay more than a copay for a well woman exam because they are covered at 100%, and nothing has been provided to me to show what was billed to insurance and/or what insurance paid (i.ean itemized statement)I have no problem paying for services if I actually owe something, but I am not convinced that I do actually owe anything since insurance should have covered the exam and the story the office about what happened keeps changingThe story has now changed for a third timeThe first story I received was I’m sorry for the delay in billing, but after an audit we found many accounts that had not been billed correctly so we sent them out (i.ethis is the first bill we have sent you)The second story was we have been sending bills monthly since the date of serviceNow the story is we sent the initial bill at the date of service, an audit was performed, and bills were resent for all unpaid accountsI have attached several versions of the bills that I have received showing the details and dates on the bills are changing as wellPlease provide me with an itemized bill and a copy of any insurance payments and/or denials, so I can verify that I am not paying for something that insurance already paid for.
Sincerely,

We installed furnaces for *** *** ***After a month customer called and said fan seems to run a lot and wants us to come outWe asked him if the furnace was holding temp and he got aggravated and started to swear and name calling - (there is a setting on the thermostat that is fan
on or fan auto we were trying to see where the setting was) We told him that there is a year parts and year labor warranty on equipment failure and no warranty on operator error and he blew up dropping F bombsWe hung up on himthe next day his wife called and we walked her through the thermostat and it was set to fan on. *** *** *** later emailed us apologizing and thanked us for helping him outWe did go back out and checked the settings for him at no charge
