We first took in his lawn mower in August of last year for a general maintenance and a steering problem. We replaced the steering gear, flange bearing,and two v belts with one hour labor. On...
September 5, he returned it to us with a bad belt. We found that the mower needed for the pto to be replaced. He agreed to let us use a used pto to save some money. We charged him $75.00 for the pto and did not charge for any labor. At this time all was working well. In June of this year, he called and complained that the belt had broken again and was blowing oil. The "oil" was transmission fluid and needed for the transmission to be replaced. He accused us of breaking the transmission. At this point, we did not want to deal with this customer any longer and returned the mower to him. We never charged for any pick up or deliveries on this mower in our attempt to do all we could to satisfy.
We still have on file a bill for a blower that was repaired for Mr [redacted] back in December of 2013 for $49.10 that was left in our shop for months and was never paid for.
It is our policy to treat every customer in a professional manner as we have been doing here for 44 years now. We found [redacted] to be abrasive, hard to deal with and decided to cut ties with him as a customer.
