Review: A billing has been received for my mother [redacted], Account #[redacted], who deceased on May 28, 2014, regarding a wheel chair that the nursing home applied for her & she received on 5/15/13. I called Walnut Medical & they indicated the wheel chair had to be returned, so I ask if the insurance co **id anything for it they said no, and we assumed they did. I ask what it would cost to buy it & they would get back to me. In the mean time I called the insurance co & they said a bill was never received & they told me to tell them to submit one. I immediately called back & left message. They called back & said that it listed new at $710 & we could **y $300 since it was used, so I then ask them to submit it to the insurance co because if it would have been rented in 3 mos. it could have been purchased by the insurance co, and again we assumed that's what happened, and they said they couldn't because their store in [redacted] that went out of business never got the authorization to bill the insurance co, which is not our fault and which makes no sense why can't [redacted] now do it it's all the same com**ny, so now after 1 year 4 mos. later & after my mom is deceased they want **id. The first time I called they never told me that they never billed the insurance co it wasn't until I called the insurance co, [redacted], that they told me that. My dad is 80 years old and is going to have a nervous break down over this.Desired Settlement: It's not our fault & don't want to return the wheel chair. We don't want anymore harassing billing notices, because we also shouldn't have to [redacted] anything.
