In response to this complaint, on our rental application it states that the applicant has hours after approval of giving notification that the applicant is not interested in accepting the unit that is being held with their security deposit (or holding fee)The hour period past, however we
have decided to contact the applicant and have him pick up his money order from our officeIt was not deposited, so he can pick it upWe will contact this applicant

In our advertising it was advertised that if the applicant bring in canned goods and new unwrapped toy they would receive a waived application fee for the canned goods and $off their 2nd months rent for the new unwrapped toy, those we did honor regardless of there credit criteriaWe also
offered a $security deposit and $1st months rent if the $Security Deposit was brought in at the time of applicationIf the applicant was Denied the $security deposit would be returned, not the toy or food as it is all donated to the Franklin County Children Services and the Native American Indian Center of Central OhioThe person of interest in this dispute was in fact approved however he did not meet all criteria, therefore was not offered the special of $for 1st months rentOur criteria is the same for every applicant - they must have the following: income must be times the rent, no negative rental history, no felony criminal history or violent misdemeanors, rentwise score must be at +or above, these are the four main factorsThe person of interest who is disputing that they should receive special was denied the special due to prior evictions, and high fraud alertOn page three of the application the applicant indicated the answer "NO" to the question " Have you ever been evicted for non payment of rent or for any other reason?" This infact was not true, when we ran the credit report thru Rent Manager, two prior evictions came up from 03/and 04/in Dade County This is not grounds for approval with a move in specialIn our application, which the person of interest did sign, acknowledging that he understood, it states "I understand that my occupancy is contingent upon meeting management's resident selection criteria and housing program requirementsAll information supplied here or elsewhere will be used to determine my household's eligibility for housing"Due to these facts the applicant was approved with no special of $1st months rent

Mr *** did not turn in a thirty day notice to vacate however we still did only pro-rate for August when he turned in keys to the
office, he was charged Cleaning charge, carpet pro-rate charge and mini blind replacement charge, leaving a total of we withheld DP leaving a of $which went into collections days after move-out date and no payment was made

Walnut Glen Apartments is an unjust and corrupt business. They have given me the same generic response that was given to me over the phone. They have not apologized for the injustice placed upon me and they do not deserve just and honest patrons like myself. I honestly can't believe that I'm being held accountable for something that I never knew about. And it's clear to me that no one is listening or understanding the matter at hand. What goes around comes around so the earth will work this out for me.

More than 700 units were notified by posting notices on their doors and vehicles. Only 5 residents said that they did not receive notices. Those residents were asked to submit their complaints in writing, which they did, and those complaints were sent to our corporate office. After reviewing...
