Here is my response to the complaint....The company that the homeowner purchased the heating for their basement went out of business, so I was waiting to see what they decided on the heating situationI was waiting for this to be resolved to do the inspectionsAs of now, the inspections are scheduled with the holidays it's taking a little longerEvery time I complete something and then the homeowner changes her mind and wants it done another way, I have to do that when I have timeAs far as the deck some of the boards have dried (which is common) and as a result they shrink, I did tell her I would come change out the boards for herThe stairs are done to codeI have agreed to come back and put a couple of nails here and couple of screws there which is pretty much what needs to be doneThe job has been completed but the homeowner keeps changing her mind on things and it gets set back Walt Brownell

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowWe are disappointed how the contractor characterized the issues, but none the less appreciate that he is trying to schedule the inspections for electric and building inspectors for the basement I have faith that he will schedule these soon hopefully before then of the year so this matter can be resolved He also states he will address the other unfinished areas in the basement We will be addressing the heating issues As for the deck, it is not just a few nails The deck supports have heaved enough to cause a noticeable slant and an electric wire to be stretched Further another wire is dangling where it could be dangerousAs for the stairs, I do not know the code so I cannot speak to that, but I am waiting for ballasters to be added to the hand rail The contractors has discussed addressing these and other issues and has stated he will fix these soon Regards, [redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I was charged $to correct the wiring done by Walt Brownell's I would like to have that amount refunded Also I have the pictures of the things that were done by Walt that did not meet code I was lucky that there was not a fire as one of the pictures shows wires that were supposed to be in a junction box that were laying exposes between my attic insulation and my ceiling The another picture has a wire that was too short and was doctored to fit I do not know how to download these pictures but I can email them at any time Walt Brownell's should not be doing electrical work without supervision and/or inspection

*** called to advise that the contractor came out and corrected everything and it is done satisfactorily

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. We are disappointed how the contractor characterized the issues,  but none the less appreciate that he is trying to schedule the inspections for electric and building inspectors for the basement .  I have faith that he will schedule these soon hopefully before then of the year so this matter can be resolved.  He also states he will address the other unfinished areas in the basement.   We will be addressing the heating issues.
As for the deck, it is not just a few nails.  The deck supports have heaved enough to cause a noticeable slant and an electric wire to be stretched.  Further another wire is dangling where it could be dangerous. As for the stairs, I do not know the code so I cannot speak to that, but I am waiting for ballasters to be added to the hand rail.  The contractors has discussed addressing these and other issues and has stated he will fix these soon.

[redacted] did call me and she told me there a cover to a junction box that was missing, another contractor had noticed when he was in the attic. She then told me that she had another electrician redo all of my work and they had taken pictures and wanted me to pay for everything. I asked her if there had...

been any problems in the bathroom she said no. I also explained to her that she should have called me first if there was a problem before everything was taken out. I also explained to [redacted] that there was nothing wrong with the way it was done the first time. I have no idea what she has done in the past three years.
