Scam artist!... Beware!... Read your poorly-written tiny printed contract in detail! We hired a car for 3 hours for our elopement in gatlinburg tn we were quoted for 5 hours since he charges from the "garage" and back (1pm-6pm) he charged us another $99.02 as the driver reported he dropped us off 3 minutes after 5pm. We questioned the charge and even disputed it with our bank. The next thing we know we have another $550 charge deducted from our bank account for the dispute. Just to hire a car cost us $1,200 after all is said and done. Wish we had seen all these reviews first.

Buyer beware..I have seen several complaints about this company please join us and help get the word so this doesnt happen to anyone elsehttps://www.facebook.com/groups/2341645066093132

Review: The service I received from this company was absolutely horrible. The owner was very rude when I first called to reserve a limo for a bachelorette party. I believe he overcharged me based on the other reviews found online. The contract sent was a .JPG and not professional at all. The owner mislead me telling me that a white very nice, completely working, limo would show up during the designated time. What we did receive was a silver limo that smelled of puke and body odor, the inside was filthy with splatter marks all over the mirrored ceiling, the lights did not work, and we had to choose between music and A/C because one shut off the other. In the end we had to sit in the dark, sweating all night, and having to restart the CD someone luckily brought because every bump would shut it off.Desired Settlement: I called the owner and described what happened. All he did was apologize for the inconvenience and said he would "hook" me up next time I rented from them. I would never rent from this company again! I filed a partial dispute with my credit card company and received a partial refund. Then I was charged an additional $75 convenience charge from the company for the dispute. I would like the $75 refunded.

Review: I rented a 26 seat limo for my 15 year old daughter and 21 of her soccer team friends to go to a homecoming dance in pittsburgh. The entire experience with this company was nothing short of a nightmare. Vehicle sent for 18 seats. Driver had no gps. I had to guide him into the address and then have him follow me to the dance venue. After the dance he said he knew how to get back and he was over 45 late. They then charged me 416 extra for the limo being out after the 11 pm rental time. The owner then has the nerve to say to me, "your kids were in my limo having a good time weren't they"??? No ac, speedometer broke, service light on. After the dance I wrote an email to explain my dissatisfaction and he then added another 416$ onto my visa saying that the driver got to the house early and the kids elected to get on early. I have cell proof, pictures with times proving he didnt arrive until 5! The limo was filthy... rusted out but painted over. They have fraudulent advertising. They are not located in pittsburgh as their website says. They use the address of [redacted] (which I have confirmed is being used fraudulently!!) they own 4 out of date stretch white hummers and advertise much larger, much nicer limos but cover that by putting in the contract that they can and have the right to send a vehicle of "comparable size and value"! They also cover the mechanical issues such as no a/c or radio working would not be their fault. No water, no air... The kids were sweating before even pictures were taken. They say their "procedure" for billing is to take half the money upfront, then after the contract is signed they take the remainder. Well running your charge card twice adds a extra % charge onto your credit card!! A week after the service (if that is what you want to call it was preformed I received yet another email saying that the kids broke the back panel of the door and I was going to get an invoice. Did I mention that 1 child sat in the hatchback, one sat on the dirty floor and two girls sat on the bar!! 22 children and a 18 seat vehicle sent. I didn't know about this til the children were on the way home and lost!!! They cover that in the contract by saying they can not be responsible for the number of guests because of size... .22 15 year old athletes who play soccer??? Not one of them is bigger than a size 4!!! The entire operation operates fraudulently!!! When I got on here and read the reviews it infuriates me to know that nothing is being done to get this man from doing this to others... Fraud fraud fraud!!! Desired settlement: I want all charges for the extra hours off my credit card... When a driver shows up without a working gps, a flip phone and no hard printed directions and gets lost it is not my responsibility to pay for his extra time driving around getting lost!!! Also, to stop this company from ruining peoples special events. The kids came home over 45 minutes late and missed the after party!! Nice first homecoming for the kids. I feel sorry for the people that I have read that he has ruined their wedding, bachelorette and bachelor parties... Pull his operating certificate or change his business fraud!!! I would like all my money back for the rental of the limo for the horrendous service. I will donate every dollar of the $1590 charged for this service to a local family here that just lost a son to cancer!! It is not about the money it is principle!!! He should be ashamed of himself for this fraudulent business he calls a service!!!

response:

I am not surprised at barnes limosines response!!! They do not want to address the complaint because they only want to speak to the financial institution for the money $$$$$they overcharged my visa $832.00+ for fraudulant charges!!! I just received yet another fraudulant bill to pay in the amount of $ 666.95!! This amount was for a supposed broken door handle that the puc officer said was a total lie! Do not ever give this company a credit card number or you will be sorry!!! They state that you pay half, then sign the contract, then pay the other half. If you choose not to sign contract you loose first half!! If you go through with signing congract he then charges 7% onto your bill for splitting yhe amount!!! Stay far away!!!

to whom this may concern: thank you very much for bringing these matters to our attention as well as acting as a liaison, per our client’s request. Please be aware that [redacted] has initiated a number of different complaints to various organizations, including but not limited to, the attorney generals office, public utility commission, the revdex.com as well as her finical institution. We have been asked to review each complaint and respond accordingly. Well each complaint revolves around the same material issue; each complaint is slightly different in the amount of material that was presented. Our company has drafted this letter and will be sending it out to each organization. This letter is meant to be all encompassing to cover all the complains, although since some of the complaints are as many as twenty pages in length, please bring to our attention if you feel as though further additional information is required. First and foremost, safety is a very important at our company. In 2009 our company elected to provide "legal” transportation in pa by applying for all the correct licenses the state required as well as the correct insurances for liability on our automobiles. By us agreeing to provide “legal” transportation in pa. There are guidelines set in place per the public utility commission or more loosely referred to as the puc. Our company is checked on regular bases to make sure we are complying with all regulations. In the summer of 2015 our company was “randomly” selected for a safety audit on our equipment, we participated and have been cleared since to operate. Our safely program is on going and by no means is neglected as alleged by [redacted] . Prior to [redacted] s trip the vehicle underwent a pre and post trip inspection as required by the state. The driver is responsible for this procedure. If a vehicle does not pass the pre trip inspection by the commercial licensed driver it is not permitted to leave our building. Therefore, it passed the pre trip inspection prior to leaving, hence it was dispatched to serve the client. As far as our obligations with our drivers the driver for this trip was a cdl licensed driver, has went through pre employment screening, is on a random drug and alcohol testing program, has a current physical and medial card on file with our company and has read all of our safety guidelines on the operation of our equipment prior to driving passengers for hire. Our company has a safety program in place that makes the drivers aware of our safety policy and monitors the drivers. This policy includes but is not limited to cell phone usage while operating a commercial vehicle, speeding, use of drugs and alcohol and smoking in commercial vehicles. Our company has taken all of the steps required by pa to make sure this driver was prepared for safety and educated prior to the trip.

Review: We rented a limo party bus for a wedding two days ago on Saturday, 11/8/2014. On the website they show all these nice new limos, and when I spoke to the owner, he assured me they were nice, newer limos! I paid $850.00 for 3 1/2 hours of service. The limo party bus that we got was extremely old and outdated looking; like a 1960ish bus. It reeked of diesel fuel the whole entire time we were on it! The seats had holes (cuts) in them, the blinds were broken, the bus itself was dirty, and he was 30 minutes late picking us up at the church where my daughter had just gotten married! I was quite embarrassed for my daughters bridal party to have to ride on there! It also had a stripper pole in the back of the bus. Then, the driver had no idea (even with a gps)how to get to Pittsburgh for pictures! We noticed he was going the wrong way, and we had to tell him turn by turn how to get to our destination! I phoned the company today, to complain and voice my disapointment; and the owner hung up on me; would not even listen to me!Desired Settlement: I feel that I deserve a partial refund of some kind! I believed that I was renting a nice limo. I paid $850.00 for 3 1/2 hours of service, and received less than 3 hours due to the driver getting lost twice! I have pictures of the limo bus inside and out! On their website, nowhere do they show the limo bus I received!

Response:

Dear [redacted]-

I am the owner of the company that you are referring to in your letter that I have received from the Revdex.com. I recently received your communication detailing your dissatisfaction with our company. For that I am truly sorry.

You mentioned that I hung the phone up on you when you called, although this is not true. The phone went silent and I kept talking and no one was there. I am soory for that miscommnication; I actually thought you hung up on me.

You mentioned you had pictures detailing your complaints. Please provide pictures of the holes or cuts you mentioned in the seat and the broken blinds. They can be emailed to us at [redacted]. This will give me a better opportunity to understand what you are referring to.

There is a pole that stands from the floor to the ceiling in the back of the bus that you mentioned. It serves as a safety grab bar in the event someone is standing when the bus is in motion unexpectedly. It is no different then the polls you see in monorails or subways.

It is a safety feature on our vehicle. We have had some people mistake it for a stripper pole and have thought about removing it due to that misconception, although we fell that the safety for our customers are paramount and for that we have kept them in.

We have looked into the fumes you mentioned on that vehicle and it has current inspection on it was built in 2000’s not in the 60’s as you had guessed. There is nothing wrong with the vehicle mechanically and we do not notice any fumes post inspection. If you could be more specific where these were smelled it may help us better investigate your concern.

The driver does his best to navigate in between the pickup and drop off that was provided. I do not see anywhere where an itinerary was provided to us ahead of time to pre plan the route. Operating a bus that’s almost 40 feet long can be somewhat hard to do when directions are given to you last second on where you want to go with unfamiliar roads.

I am sorrv but per the contract that was signed there are no cash refunds and any time, that was missed maybe made up at a mutually agreed upon date according to the service agreement. We can not extend service to you in full but then give you an almost 50% deposit.

As an owner, I try to give our customers the highest level of transportation quality every time. As a consumer myself, I know how disappointing it is to spend my hard earned dollar and not feel that it was worth while. I will assure you that in the future we will continue to push harder to give you, the customer who pays our salaries, the best product. I have credited your account $100 toward your next reservation with us, though we hope you will come back and give us a second chance to make it up to you.

Thanks, [redacted]

Review: I put a deposit of $50.00 for limo services. [redacted] at Walten Point Productions made an unauthorized charge to my credit card in the amount of $693.45. This made my account over drawn and racked up multiple overdrft fees. The company was not understanding when attempting to full fill my contract and reimburseme my money.Desired Settlement: I understand holding my deposit of $50.00 however the $693.45 should be refunded. I gave ample notice of cancelation and furthermore my card was used without my permission.

Review: A group of us booked this company for limo service. We were dissatisfied with the bugs in the limo, the fact that the driver plopped a plastic bag of ice on the floor which proceeded to melt leaving the floor wet. We also had to give the driver directions even though he had a GPS. The driver told us that he would not charge us overtime. So when I reported the complaints after receiving a bill for overtime, I was basically being accused of lying. The company never said that they would compensate for the dirty limo or the conduct of the driver. All they did was tell me how nice their facilities were and that they apologies if there were fruit flys in the limo.We made it to the event, and yes we used the limo, but had to deal, with bugs hanging from the ceilingAnd flying around us both to and from the event. Also the wet carpet on the way up. He did put the ice in a cooler for the way home, but by then it was too late.I just think the very least they can do is wave the over time fee seeing as though we were told it would not be charged and that we had to deal with a bug filled car! They also took the liberty to automatically charge my credit card for the overtime. Thank you, [redacted]Desired Settlement: I want the overtime fee waved and the complaint made to Revdex.com

Review: I found Barnes Limo on the internet because they had, at least semi-good reviews, and figured I would give them a try. I'm getting married in on September 27th of this year and needed a limo. So I called them up, the guy who answered, Matt B[redacted], was really friendly and helpful, and he said the total amount would be $1006.99 for the limo for 5 hours. So I give him my debit card number for the deposit of $500 while he fills out the contract to email it to me for me to sign. It took me a few days to get to the email because I'm a very busy person and I finally get to it to sign it, and the contract is written up for $1699. Which is absurdly expensive. I call him and he says there is nothing he can do. So a few more days go by and I decide to call him again to try again. He ends up giving me half of that deposit back, which is still absurd. The contract says plain as day that no payment is due until signing of said contract, which I never signed. So I got $250 back but want the rest back so I can afford another limo for the wedding.Desired Settlement: I want the other half ($250) of my deposit returned to me.

Response:

To whom, this may concernThank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We have already reached a settlement agreement regarding this matter after it was already previously brought to our attention by [redacted] before this complaint was drafted. We have already made "a good faith effort attempt" to resolve [redacted]’s complaint, which he agreed was acceptable, with his signature and money was refunded to him that he was not entitled to per our company policy that he acknowledged. As far as we are concerned this case was closed as of June 16,2015 with receipt of his signature. [redacted] authorized a charge of $250 to his card and his signature attach proves so. A client can not debate a charge that he authorized and signed an agreement for. Our company has already gone above and beyond regarding this situation and we regret to inform you there is nothing further we can do and with receipt of the settle agreement attached our company wishes to no longer debate the issue at hand. Thank you for your time and attention regarding this matter.

Review: I called Barnes Limo on April 6th, 2015 and was quoted a price of $700 for three hours of limo service which included taxes and gratuity. I had my fiance call back on 4/14 to book the limo and pay the deposit. I told him the limo would cost $700, not adding that taxes and gratuity was included because any reputable company would not only charge some customers for that. He was told the total was $840 (thinking the extra money was taxes and gratuity plus $62 for an extra half hour of service). When my fiance told me the amount he paid, I realized the mistake and immediately called Mr. [redacted]. From the beginning of the conversation, he was extremely unprofessional and hostile, not even entertaining the mistake. Throughout the next 15 minutes of disputing, he raised his voice several times and engaged in VERY unprofessional manner. He then said "Fine! I'm done arguing about this! Do you just want your deposit back?" When I answered yes, he said "It'll be back in the account by midnight." Then he hung up. He called me back 30 seconds later and said "Never mind. I changed my mind. You are not getting your money back." I was shocked and immediately said he could not make a verbal modification to the contract and not honor it. He began yelling VERY loudly and told me that he would no longer speak to me because it was my fiance's card even though he had spoken to me all along. When my fiance called, he was just as rude to him and told him he was tired and would call the next day. When they spoke the next day, he said he would still not honor the refund like he said he would, but would give us $75 discount. My fiance told him we did not want to work with someone who treated customers the way he has and that we just want our $421 deposit refunded like he said he would. Mr. [redacted] refused and said he would keep our money then.Desired Settlement: We would like our $421 deposit back that Mr. [redacted] said he would honor while making a verbal modification to the contract on the phone with me.

ID [redacted]As [redacted] Stated in the complaint she was not the person that called to make a reservation or make a payment for the reservation. [redacted] "[redacted] is not a customer and has never been a customer of ours that we can see from our records. We have never had a contract with [redacted] that we can seem to find in our records. We ask that this be removed because in order to be a customer of our company we must have took a payment, provided her with service ox have a contract with her. None of the three exist. Thank You[redacted]

Review: I rented a Stretched Hummer for August 10 2013 for the times of 10 pm pick up in Uniontown for a party of 18 women and the vehicle was contracted to pick up and transport the entire party to Pittsburgh Pa to a local club in Station Square, wait for the party until 2 am and transport the party back to Uniontown by 3am. The hummer broke down 0.7 miles from pulling off from the club and stranded the whole party. AAA came and stated that they did not have the proper cables to jump the vehicle and said that they would be back. The party waited on the side of the road for two hours with NO calls from the owner about a replacement vehicle. The driver also could not operate the radio and the party had no sound for the entire trip, which was contracted in the agreement. The company did not honor the signed contract and I would like HALF of the monies returned since only the limo service only completed HALF of their agreement.Desired Settlement: I would like Half of my monies returned for the limo including an additional $99 for the problems with the radio and foul smell in the limo, which total $499.00. I would also ;like to receive half of my money back for the gas fee of $150 which would give me a $75 refund. My total refund should be $574.00 for non completion of service that were supposed to rendered.

To whom this may concern - After reading our customers concerns we are sorry that they were not 100% satisfied with the service that we provided them. We do our very best to make sure that every customer’s trip ends on a positive note and that they are happy with the end result. We have been in business since 1999 by providing good customer service, a nice product and being fair. In regards to compensation for what the customer is asking for we must handle both of their concerns according to the contract entered in by Barnes Limo and the purchaser. In our agreement it states that in any event that due to any circumstances less time is provided then originally contracted then the time maybe rescheduled when mutually agreed upon by both the purchaser and Barnes Limo. This clause will be honored in any event when less time is provided then contracted. Further more in our agreement it states that we can not guarantee that every electronic will be working in the vehicle, if something stops working or is not working correctly there will be no compensation to the customer. There are hundreds of electronic devices in our limos and we do our best to make sure everyone of them is in working order. We apologize that our vehicle had a mechanic malfunction during this customers trip. We sent a replacement vehicle out to them as soon as we heard there was an issue. The closest place that we could secure a replacement vehicle from that weekend night at 3PM in the morning was two hours away. We sent the replacement out to them, when it arrived on site everyone had already secured their own ride home and no one was around except our driver. The customer did try to call the office a few times and no one answered that night because no one was at the office that late, although our owner was in contact with the driver the whole time and was responsible for relaying any updates to the customer and letting them know what was going on, witch he did. We do our best to insure that we run top notch limos as we have a full time inspection mechanic that works for our company. All of our vehicles go through rigorous preventative maintenance work as well to insurance that break downs are kept to a minimum. If Barnes Limo is ever questioned about the lack of providing something that was promised to the purchaser we will stand behind our contractual agreement with them and make the situation right with the customer.

Review: On August 2nd 2014 I had a night planned for my brothers bachelor party. Prior to the event I was in touch with [redacted], owner of [redacted] Limo in Erie PA. He gladly took my deposit of $300 7/3/2014 to secure my hummer limo that will seat 18 people. On 7/31/2014 an additional $621.46 was taken in addition to pay for the limo from 7:30pm to 2:30am. The day prior to the event the limo driver called in order to introduce himself and told me the limo will not fit 15 people comfortably let alone 18. I called [redacted] and explained my concern and he said at a fair price an additional $100 he would upgrade me to a 26 passenger limo for the night. The Limo driver arrives and aknowleged the limo will not fit 18 and said [redacted] does this to him all the time, the upgrade was a 2 seat bench seat that goes where the trunk is. We cram in 12 of us to pick up my brother and his brother in law. On the way there is no AC, again Driver said [redacted] knew about it because they argued about it and again he is always put into these situations. At my brothers we get rid of 2 coolers to make room for 14. I call the additional 4 people and told them I cant assist them. We arrive at the first destination and stay for 1 hr and go 8 blocks up the street to another bar. We get ready to leave for the casino and the limo is dead in the water, 11:41pm the extra limo never showed up till 1:27 and he had to help with the battery and finished by 1:47. I had to call my wife and all the others rides to come get us that night where we had nowhere left to go. My brothers entire night and everyone else's was ruined, there is no money that we can get back to make it right. It was suppose to be great and [redacted] did nothing to remedy the situation or was never sympathetic. He said I don't have to do anything I am being nice, you should have read the contract! Are you kidding!! (did not fit 18 people, no AC, broke down after 11pm, no limo came till almost 2pm) Very irresponsible and unprofessional.Desired Settlement: total amount paid deposit $300, $621.46, and upgrade amount $100 total $1021.46. Ruined night and will never get that 1 special night back for all thee people from out of town and my brother

Review: On June 14,2014 my mother and I rented a limosuine for my wedding that day. We signed a contract approximately 2 years in advance for a limo bus due to height requirements in my family. We were told that should that not be available due to vehicle issues, a vehicle of comparable worth would be provided. What we had been shown was a pristine white limo bus with interior lights, working air conditioning, and interior lighting. What we received was something that looked to be a modified coach bus with a driver who said that he had never driven this vehicle before and was unsure how everything worked. It was approximately 85 degrees that day and the bus did not have air condition. The exterior was black and white with chipped and cracked paint and the interior was a darker shade of brown. So needless to say, it was hot in there. The only lighting that we had available were the basic running lights. While I was away on my honeymoon, my mother called and filed a complaint with the company but received no call back. I called once I got back and finally got a call back from Mr. [redacted] and was told I would receive a call back within a day or two with a resolution. I had someone by the name of [redacted] call and leave a message that he would call back again and never did. I was at work and could not answer my cell phone at the time of his call. Also the bus driver refused to drop us off at the entrance to the reception hall and instead made us walk about 1/2 mile. There is a bridge that needs to be covered to get there. Had we been aware that he would not have crossed it, we would have arranged for difference transportation. But as this area serves food and semi delivery trucks have to cross, there was no reason the bus should have dropped us off where he did. Also, I had guests of the ceremony give the driver items to give us once we were on the bus but we never received such items.Desired Settlement: It's now a week after my phone call and I'm still waiting for a reply and I would like a refund of services that were not provided.

I rented Barnes limo for a winery tour. It was the worst experience. No A/C. Sound system did not work well. Driver did not know where he was going. Limo looked like it was from the 70s. Not clean. Unsafe driving. Called the business after to reconcile with no luck. Very unprofessional company. Will NEVER suggest them or use them again.
