I gave him our blueprint at the beginning and apparently he was not equipped to finish the project.  However, he gave us a bid ($36,500) to get the project.  We gave him $26,000 over time.I made a mistake in the previous statement.  He has completed item 2, some of item 3, and some of item 4 on our first contract signed on 3-7-17, which amount to $19,000.  He also cut out the cracks in garage, item number 3 on the second contract.  This brings the amount he owes us to be $6000.  It is true that he took down the chimney and siding on the left side of house.  Is it worth $6000?  He brought another carpenter to complete the item 3, because he does not know how to finish it.  As he purchased material for item no 3 in our first contract, we will consider it complete. He still have to finish 10 ft extension to complete the item 4 in our contract. Our offer is to finish 10 ft extension in item 4 in our contact and refund $5000 to us.

[redacted] I resent your accusations I been nothing but fair with you I was always upfront with you and I never asked you for extra money for the job. All I wanted was money upfront from our contract to continue to do the work. Everything I said I was going to do I have been doing until it came to the roof. You had somebody else do it and paid them upfront when I asked you for a little upfront money from the contract to do the roof and you told me no. But yet you hired somebody else and paid them upfront which is a violation and breach of our contract according to contract laws. I never said I couldn't do the roof and you yourself told me that the plans where not up to specs because the architect you hired messed up before on another project you had him do for you. So if you are prepared for a lawsuit for slandering my business do what you have to do because I will sue you if you slander my business. I have the law on my side because of the contract.

To begin with she is lieing about the work I completed. I also completed a 80 ft trench 4 ft deep with 8 inch by 22 inch footing approximately 80 ft with a 4 ft frost wall that was also completed in front of the house and garage. I poured the front sidewalk with stoop that was completed along with...

the garage concrete slab. I demoed the chimney complete and also demoed some siding that was not on the contract. Now I feel that throughout the whole project she was giving me draws for every project I completed so when it came down to do the extra work on the garage roof addition I asked her for extra money because it was gonna be more then the blueprints required. She told me NO more extra money. But she went and hired another carpenter and paid him $8000 on the garage addition. Now I feel that is a breach of contract because I asked her for extra money but she said no and she hired somebody else to do the work that was on my contract. Now when the addition was done she needed the roof done. I asked her for money down to buy material and she denied me and said she's not giving me anymore money till the job is done. I told her I am not going to fund your project for you. So she went and hired a roofing contractor and paid him money up front to do the roof. So I feel that is another breach of contract by giving my job to someone else. Now the roofers she hired messed up and she wants me to go and correct there mistake because they are not coming back. So I feel over all she is wrong I was more then honest with everything I did for her and if anybody owes money she owes me. Thank you and have a good day.

For item #2 My contract says do 50 ft of escavating for frost wall and it doubled to 100 ft when I had to do everything in front of the garage. So my price went from $8000 to $16000 if you want to play games, because the wall, footings, frost walls, and escavating doubled.  On 2nd contract I said to install brick work in front of house to install approximately 1500 brick. The brick work extended from 1500 to 2500 brick which my price changed from $3500 to $5000. Also on the siding my contract calls for the front and east side of house now you want me to do the west side of house.  Bottom line is if you want to get technical about everything you owe me money once you start figuring out all the extras I did for you.  You yourself told me that these plans where not accurate and that a lot of other contractors told you that these plans where no good and you told me that you were willing to change the contract. If you want to work with me we would have to change the contract and put all the changes in writing. Im willing to go back and finish everything and we can be back there by the end of this week if your willing to work with me. If not im willing to go to court or arbitration. Let me know what you want to do.
