Walter's Meat Market Inc

Review: I was visiting family in Erie for the holidays and had just completed a deer hunting trip in Michigan. I employed Walters to prosses part of the venison that I had and planned on using it as Christmass gifts. Walters received the meat on approximately 12/18/13. Walters said they would contact me when the meat was ready for pick-up. Walters had not contacted me by 12/27/13. I was flying back home on 12/31/13. I contacted Walters to let them know that I needed the product prier to leaving the state. They told me it would be ready before my departure. The meat was not ready for pick-up by the time I had to leave. After I returned home I had still not been contacted by Walters. I again contacted Walters and asked if at this point could they ship the Meat to a friend [redacted] Pa. They told me that they could and that they would get back to me when it was ready for shipping. I again was never contacted by Walters. When I tried to contact them agian I got an answering machine that told me they were closed for the season. After leaving a message I was contacted by an employee and told that they were in the prossess of shutting down for the year, but my product was ready and they would ship it in the next few days. The total price for the product and shipping was $128. Again time past and no product was delivered. Again I contacted the employee to see if the product had been shipped, it had not. The employee assured she would send the meat. When the product finally was shipped, it arrived in two different boxes via US mail. The first box arrived and was partly thawed. The meat on the outside of the box was completely thawed and some of the packages were spoiled. The second box arrived the next day and was completely spoiled. The package leaked through on to other mail. The Post Office did contact the company with a complaint. I have since tried to recieve a refund of $100, but as far as I know the money has not been mailed. It is now 2/18/14. This situation has lasted 2 months now.Desired Settlement: $100 via US mail
